President Danilo Medina appointed the members of the Monetary Board yesterday, Thursday 30 August. They are Hector Rizek Llabal, Ramon Nunez Ramirez, Cesar Nicolas Penson, George Manuel Hazoury and Emilio de Luna Peguero, who were confirmed. He added former Minister of Industry and Commerce, Manuel Garcia Arevalo.
In the economic team, President Medina also appointed Magin Diaz, Luis Nunez, Rafael Gomez and Jesus Feliz as deputy ministers of Hacienda. He designated Luis Naut as Presidential taxation policy advisor.
