Public Administration minister Ramon Ventura Camejo has welcomed the decision to revoke the initial wave of dismissals of public servants as new appointed ministers sought to bring in their own people. At one point Ventura Camejo was urging dismissed Civil Service members to take their cases to the Supreme Court. Apparently, the PLD leadership managed to get word around and some institutions began to call the dismissed civil servants back to their posts. Ventura Camejo informed the new ministers and other top officials that these firings violated the Constitution and Law 41-06. He said that any career public servant who was not reinstated should immediately file a grievance to the Supreme Court or the Constitutional Tribunal. However, the Minister of Public Administration added that he hoped that the employees would be reinstated "without the need for the Justice Department to intervene.
