Listin Diario reporter Alicia Estevez interviewed her friend Candida Perdomo, who was an executive assistant at Morgan Stanley that morning 11 years ago when the twin towers were attacked. In what is certainly one of the most dramatic statements seen in print, Perdomo told the reporter: "I can't forget the sound of the bodies hitting the pavement when the people jumped out of the towers."

Perdomo, who was on the 67th floor when the first plane hit Tower One of the World Trade Center, was part of her company's evacuation team and led hundreds of employees to safety. She also lost over 60 of her friends in the terrorist attack. Since that terrible day, Perdomo has suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome because she lost so many friends and she questioned her own survival. As a result, she moved to Florida and got divorced two years later. Morgan Stanley paid her salary until she found work in Orlando. She learned how to drive, went to university and graduated in Business Administration before going on to get a job working for a federal contractor. She told Alicia Estevez that every 11 September she remembers what happened and noted that "everyone has paid for what happened that day."
