Most newspapers today, Wednesday 12 September, are reporting the deaths of two of the four members of a gang of highway thieves who preyed on travelers arriving at the Las Americas International Airport. At least two victims, including a US citizen, identified the bodies as the men who had robbed them. The two men were travelling in an SUV between kilometers 13 and 16 of the Las Americas Highway when the Police ordered them to stop. The Police said that they found two pistols and dozens of personal identification items from their victims.
