The Central Bank says that it will be changing the color of some of the parts of the RD$200 peso bill starting on 1 October 2012. Some of the gray areas will be changed to green to make it easier to distinguish from the RD$50 peso bill, since they have similar colors right now, according to El Nuevo Diario. The new version will be phased in gradually and the older bills will still be valid.
