The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports that two low-pressure systems will influence atmospheric conditions in the Dominican Republic. One is located over the country and the other is just off the north shore in the Atlantic. However, temperatures will continue to be uncomfortably high. The increasing cloud cover will bring some showers and thunder and lightning. The northeast, southeast, southwest, the center of the country, the central mountain range and the area of the border with Haiti will get the most rains.

Onamet is also watching a low-pressure system located some 520 kilometers to the east of the Lesser Antilles and moving westwards at 20kph, with a 20% possibility of becoming a cyclone within the next 48 hours. This system should produce increasing rainfall as it approaches.
