Yesterday, Monday 17 September, in decrees 581-12 and 582-12, President Danilo Medina appointed six deputy ministers for Public Health and six in the Ministry of Foreign Relations.
Dr. Mercedes Yovanna Rodriguez Silver was appointed as Deputy Minister for Finance Administration in Public Health and Dr. Virgilio Cedano is the new Deputy Minister for Planning and Development of the National Health Service.
Dr. Nelson Rodriguez Monegro, previously Deputy Minister for Collective Health takes over responsibility for Customer Service. Dr. Maria Villa de Pina will be in charge of Quality Control, Rafael Schiffino will be the new head of Collective Health and Roberto Berroa will be Deputy Minister for Environmental Health.
At the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Jose Manual Trullols will be in charge of general coordination, Cesar Dargam as Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs and Trade Negotiations, Sarah Guemez Naut for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Alejandra Liriano for Overseas Policy Affairs and Nelly Perez is in charge of Consular and Immigration Affairs.
Juan Andres Pla Gomez was appointed as Deputy Minister for the Supervision of Consulates and Embassies.
The Medina administration has yet to confirm its foreign mission personnel.The Medina administration still has pending the confirmation of the foreign mission personnel.
