The Dominican Republic is garnering the attention of British investors who are interested in selling new products and services. Yesterday, Tuesday 25 September, the United Kingdom Embassy in the Dominican Republic held the "Second Trade Meeting with Great Britain" with the participation of ten companies interested in developing business relations with the Dominican market.
One of them, Tranquility Resorts, announced the construction of a hotel in the southwestern city of Barahona, near San Rafael Beach. Construction is supposed to start next February. Company representative Paul Williams said that the hotel will have between 30 and 40 rooms and as many as 140 villas.
Other offers included one from Kings College, which wants to establish schools similar to St. Michael's School in England. The program has extended to Spain and recently to Panama.
