I will be in the Dominican Republic from Dec.19th to Jan.5th...Because I could not find a flight into POP.. I have to fly into PUJ & leave the same way....No Worries ...I am staying overnight in Punt Cana...actually its Fruisa. I found a great room place at Hotel 2 Bavaro for $39...Its a short walk to the Bavaro Expresso Bus terminal from there.

I will be catching the bus in the morning to Santo Domingo for 375 pesos & staying the night perhaps the Razoir Hotel $50...a short walk to 305...2500 pesos...

In the morning catching the Metro to Sousa for 360 pesos where I will be staying for 14 nights at the Sousa Suites.

There is a small window to get a flight into POP at a decent price....about $800.....at that time of year I missed it....now its around $1000 one way...my chicas need my pesos so I am making the sarifice of flying to punta cana....& doing the road trip..:rofl:
No, there was no flights to santo domingo....:mad: from up in Canada....just westjet & aircanada are my only choices at that time of year going 3X to POP a week or daily to PUJ... there is one charter but they do not get going till around xmas...


But I am not complaining....I have enjoyed my overnight stays in punta cana & santo dominngo...there are always girls...:corky: to keep me company..:rolleyes: everytime I am thru Santo Domingo I see some more of it & the chiicas...

Not sure if you know but you can fly in a little 12 seater turbo prop from PUJ to POP for around $150-175 each way. Takes an hour or so in the air. It's not cheap but saves 2 days travel and related expenses!

I flew POP to PUJ way back when, when it was only $120 all in one way and would recommend it.

If I can find a return flight into POP or STI for no more than $800 I'm in, otherwise it looks like I might be making my virgin voyage to the Philippines! :iconTU:

I don't look at it as two days travel....though I was not too crazy about staying in Punta Cana..but .Day 1 overnite in puntacana....the hotel I booked is away from the beach closer to local bars & resturants...I am looking to see if there are $1000-1500 pesos girls there....I believe once you get of the beaten path... you will find it :corky:

Day 2...traveling to santo domingo the next day by the Bavaro Expesso bus...3hours plus...I always have a chica come sit beside me for the trip...:corky: great company & the time passes by quickly...

I like getting into SD early....drop the bags off & explore a new part of the city...but there is always a stop GNP....1500 pesos happy hour.:corky:.. in the evening there is
Club 305 for a nite cap...

Day 3....traveling to Sousa in the morning by way the Metro Bus...repeat of the express bus....repeat of cute chica sitting besides me...great company ...time flys & I am getting off the bus in sousa...a short 2 minute walk to Rockys..the Party starts...:eldrunko: :toast: so does that sound like 2 days travel.....

yes I did once......last year..I wanted to try to get there in one day...it was up early 0700 local bus....caught the 0800 bavaro expresso ...arrived about 1200 in SD...I found a metro going to POP..1400...arrived in POP at about 1745....walked out to the street caught a public taxi to sousa...50 pesos...not sure how long it took to get to sousa....yesI did it in a day....but I rather not do it this way.... when you have the time to enjoy... :mrgreen: if you have a great night:ilike:you can catch up on your sleep & be ready for what the night brings you...

with so few flights to POP...I have to book at least 9 months ahead to get a deal...that includes west jet...when I made my booking all that was left was business class...I am also flying out of winnipeg..so the best I can do at anytime $700-800 dollars...I think they wanted 600-800 one way...what saves me there is flights going into PUJ everyday & twice sat.&sunday..westjet was more than the $760 I paid return...

About 1/2 at a similar time. No way I could get even to the Phils over xmas and NY's, without miles, without adding a 1 in front of what I paid, or close enough anyway. I seriously looked into going Asian this trip but over the holidays the airfare was totally ridiculous.

I paid almost $900 for a different xmas trip in the past and for a much shorter trip as well.

As much as I hated to pay it I'd rather spend the cash than not travel....and it's "only" money :wink::lol:

are you sure they're actually taxes?

I know that most European airlines (and I'm pretty sure Canada does this as well) consider the 'fuel surcharge' as part of the taxes and fees and not part of the base fare (as it is in the U.S.). The 'fuel surcharge' is usually a good chunk of the total airfare.

This is why FF programs outside of the US are generally garbage - because you still have to pay taxes & fees and usually the 'fuel surcharge' on top of that. I think this is actually one of the reasons they add the charge to taxes and fees.

14 days to go...my HP Photosmart A710 printer came in the mail...bought it on ebay for $50 plus shipping $15 :corky:.....tested it out my SD cards did not work..:mad: turns out that I needed HP cards to work it...tested it out printed out a few photos that I have to bring to DR ...everything staring to come together... another thing checked off list...:corky:

DAY 1

arrive PUJ about noon.....graab my bags & first time they want to check them...no problems right..:confused:as they go thru them they ask about certain chica items etc..:corky:
they open my chica gift bag...which holes quite few items that I am bringing down...call to customs they say I have to pay the tax...:confused:even though it says on the customs form ....gifs up to $500 are excempt...taking in DR time that tied me up for couple hours...because I bought wholesale with these taxes it will cost a couple $1 more to cost of the items..really not a deal breaker..

pay the taxes & I am on my way to Hotel 2 Bavaro in Fruisa...check in ..unpack a few things & go for a walk about...really no tourist here..bought a few things at the super store....finally grab bite a pizza place that just opened ...had a cheese pizza that hit the spot.with water & drink...270 RD...decided I needed a nap... out for 4 hours...

woke up & had a coffee from the pizza place & on to the local car wash seems some action going here even when I walked by in the afternoon....it did not take long....by the time I bought a grande presidente..100rd..I was hit on by Miguelina...I had to get my first nut off...I offered 1500 peso ..she wanted 2000 but took my offer too quickly...fucked up... she would of taken 1000 pesos..ST off to hotel we go.when she saw my gifts layed out for her to try on....she laughed & we were off to the races photos taken ..we had a good session by I could tell she was a a bit of a novice...had my nut...about a 1.5 hours ...I let her keep two of the outfits..she
was happy ... but I could not find the plug for printer :mad:...got emai info & walked back to car wash....3 minute walk...said our goodnights & back to hotel....

once back at the room I went thru my bags...& found my plug for the printer..printed off the photos..went back to the Car Wash...Miguelina was jumping up & down when she saw the photos...alot of chicas took notice..:rolleyes: another hug & kiss... I off to the hotel get some SD hotel info off my laptop.....so ends day 1...

Happy New Years to all...sorry that I have been not reporting my trip but I have been down a bit ....I had a cold before I came down & it got alot worst...so my chica reports will be down a bit.& pics...ben hanging with expats & taking it easy...have only been with 5 girls so far this trip..looks like dinner at Rockys ...toy run after dinner.....fireworks at midnight followed by party at El Flow with the locals....again Happy New Years to all...
