Tried Calle Pizza tonight. It is located next to the large car wash on the main highway. I wasn't impressed.

I would imagine with the humidity and inconsistent electricity and refrigeration issues, it would be very difficult to make good dough for pizza in the DR. Not sure about where they are sourcing the cheese either

What about that brick oven pizza joint on the side street heading towards classico.

I don't think I ever had pizza in Sosua, I did in Boca Chica, I think it was like 50 pesos a slice, which was a great deal for below average pizza especially after many presidentes.

I don't think the one on the side street (assuming you mean the street that runs up the hill between pop bar and winner's circle) has a brick oven. Their pizza is just okay, I prefer a thin slice and they don't use fresh mozzarella! (which, if they had a brick oven I would consider cardinal sins one and two). It's a very average pie, imo.

The place next to Cafe Cubano (towards Britannia) has a brick oven for sure but I haven't eaten there. I've heard mixed reviews about it.

I've heard Bologna (on Alejo Martinez) makes the best pie in town, haven't eaten there either but I've heard nothing but good things about the place.

Dominicans will tell you the best pizza in the area is from La Base.
Its at the first entrance of the military base right across the street from a baseball field, a couple of minutes or seconds west of the airport entrance.
Lots of chicas from the barrio across the street eat there all the time.

There is a pizza place diagonal to New Garden. This is the best I have had in Sosua.

As if I'd trust the word (or palate) of Dominicans when it comes to pizza...

I think it's pretty good pizza for DR standards. They also opened up a kitchen at that bar across from Domino bar. I believe they're from Naples.

Half way up the hill from WC?

I know the place real well, but damned if I know the name. It's right beside WC's bano.

I have never ordered a pizza from there. It's always two large pizzas. Just throw them up on the bar and the bartenders always love it!!

It's called New Pizza. I usually get mine from there , love the Calabrese pizza. I do really like Calla Pizza as well though, thinner crust but lot's of cheese.
