Does anybody have updated info on Hotels in Santo Domingo...I have used Hotel Raizor the last couple times for my stop overs in SD on my way to & from Sousa. Does anybody have some thoughts on the other hotels in the area & what did you like about staying there. I liked Hotel Razoir because it was walking distance to Club 305 & the other clubs....its always location, location for me...what do the other hotels in the area offer up.

That is still a nice hotel to stay in, unless you want a pool.

Is 2 blocks away close enough for you?

...and fuck a pool when you've got a roof top terrace.

Dr. Kush turned me on to this place.

pool would be nice, but I am only there for 24 hours...I would like to see more of what the city has to offer...besides a quick stop at GBP ...1500 pesos :corky:

Then why are you worried about the Hotel? 24 hours is nothing. :icontd::icontd::icontd::icontd:

Then stay at the Jaragua for twice as much and no Chicas allowed.

Choose your poison...

On Calle Danae, just a couple of blocks from the casas, there is Hotel Residencia, Hotel Danae and one or two more whose names escape me. I stayed at the ones named once each. Danae is similiar to a guest house, very quiet at night, rooms have cable, ac, hot water, etc. Very comfortable bed. I paid 1,100 pesos per night. I recommend that one over Residencia. Cleaner and higher quality rooms.

Check out Shredder's SD report from a couple of years back. A lot of info. And also www.zonacolonial.com (http://www.zonacolonial.com) can help you out too.
