I recently spent a couple of weeks in Las Terrenas and Sosua,,,,
I found a condo in Las Terrenas, and I liked it ,,but did not like the location,,,,It was nice, but it was like staying right off the street in Sosua abajo,,,,,,,and after two nights,,,I decided that I needed to be closer to the water,,,,

While packing things up,,I looked on Booking.com ,,and they were having a sale on several Hotels,,,including one
that I really liked the looks of last year when I was in Las Terrenas,,,called Hotel Albachiara,,which was right on the
water. I didnt stay there last year because the prices were so high,,but this deal was really good,,so i grabbed it,,,,
It included a free buffet breakfast with all you could eat mangu(little momma was happy about this),,, eggs,,,bacon,,sausage,,pancakes,,an omellette bar,,8 fresh juices,and pastries and bread,,and cafe,,,,and you ate it all about 100 feet from the water,,,,,YES , I DID SOME DAMAGE,,,,,,:wink:,,,,,

As usual,,, If you are going to head to LT for a couple of days,,, I highly recommend renting one of these,,,,
You can see alot of places,,,,and go almost anywhere on these,,,,,,Last year I paid $45 a day for the quad,,,,This year , I was told to talk them down to $30- 35 a day,,,which I did,,,,,,He called me a malo chico,,,,but I ended up paying $30,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

No Smooth,,,,that is Little momma,,,,,about half the size of L,,,,,,
L and I decided to split ways last October,,,,and I told her we would be better off amigo and amiga,,,,
She still calls me,,,and we kind of made tentative plans to hook up this time,,,but I told her it may be a little hard,,,
But that could change ,,as while I was in Sosua this time and she saw me with Little momma,,,,she was all smiles and I introduced the two of them in the pizzeria next to the spot,,,,,But I could see the jealousy in her eyes,,,,,
Then the phone calls started with " mi con grande problema con pequina chica",,,," Mi pienso mi boom boom chica",,,,,tu necesita tiempo con mi,,,
I said "porque,,chica nada problema con tu"
She responded with,,," no no,.,,,,tu no go con mi,,,,,mi problema con chica"
I responded with " Ok ,bien,,tu tratar boom boom chica,,,mi no habla tu no mas,,,,mi y tu no mas amigo amiga",,, And I ended the convo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
They are both really cool chicas,,,,, but i really dont want L trying to hit her for various reasons I cant get into to......

Really beautiful views. I enjoyed my time when I was there several years ago but I can't say I really made the effort to enjoy the environment. Maybe some day in the future. Looking forward to the rest of the TR.

I was in Las Terrenas (Playa Bonita) something like 10 years ago. I am sure the place has changed a lot, if I ever find the pics I took I will try to scan them (not a digital camera).

Looking forward to spending some time in Las Terrenas soon... I cant believe I have not been on that highway... I pass it on the way to Samana, but never had a chance to get on it, and check out the AWESOME VIEWS... like the ones you had in your last Report... I think you took a Quad though ? ... Hey can you ride the quads on that highway ? or were you on the shoulder most times ?

I just couldn't quite put my foot on it,,,but I just didnt feel comfortable there,,,,
The woman that owned it was American,,and it was nice and new,,and really quiet even though you were just off a busy street,,,,but there were hardly any other people there.
I thought I would like the quiet,,,,but I kinda missed the comings and goings of a hotel,,,,,And I was right ,,,I was much more comfortable at the Albachiara,,,,
Yeah,,,,Playa Bonita is a sick beach,,,,,
The only difference from this year to last year,,,is that you can no longer take cars or quads on this particular beach,,,,,,they put some cement pylons that only a bike or moto could get through,,,,,

I worked my ass off for about two months before my trip to get the "six pack" abs,,,,,but i had to drop from 220 down to 202 to do it,,,,
So when I first get to little mommas place,,, she looks at me and says " Mi amore..tu mucho flaco ahora,,que pasa ?"
I then had to explain to her that you have to lose a little weight to totally lose your stomach,,,,,,,
I then took my shirt off and said "Por que, tu no gusto? "
She then changed her tune,, and was like "wow,, mi gusto,,mi gusto mucho,,,,"

Ok,, as far as bringing your own chica to LT,,,,,I would probably say yes,,,,
Like if you got a favorita in Santo Domingo,,Santiago or Sosua,,,,,or wherever,,,,,and you just want to chill out with them,,,,,it is definatley the place to go,,,,,,If They havent been there ,,they will like it,,,
But as far as the nightlife goes,, I was shocked at the difference that one year had made,,,,,
Last year , I went to the Pirate Bar next to La Bodega, and it was crowded starting at 8:00 PM,,,,lots of chicas working and hanging around,,,,,
Then around 10:00pm and on,,everything would shift over to La Bodega,,,,,,
This year ,,,I drove by at 9:00pm,,,,and not one girl at the pirate bar or la bodega,,,,,
Now Little momma doesnt drink much,,,,and between me having her on the go all day,,and from all the fucking we were doing,,, usually would tell me to go out and have a couple drinks if I wanted,,,but she was going to sleep,,,
So I would head back out around 11:30,,,, and there was still nobody in La bodega,,, and a just a couple of stragglers in the pirate bar,,,And about 15 motoconcho dudes,,,, It was weird
Luckily, I did find one little bar that had some cute girls working in it,,,,,
As you leave La Bodega and drive by the politur building ,,,just as the road vears left there is a bar on the left,,,,
I parked the quad,,,and had a drink,,,,,
One decent chica walked over and sat with me,,and after a little talking , gave me the layout,,,,
If you liked a girl here,,,,you negotiated the price with her and went upstairs,,,,,,,
It was at this point I saw a little tiny thing go by all in white,,,,,,
I excused my self from the one I was talking to and sat with her,,,,,,,she was 18 and hot,,,,,,Deal !!!
We settled on 1300 pesos for the hour and went upstairs,,,,,,It was very hot up there ,,,but she was awesome in the sack.
I thought i would have to pay the bar something,,,but i never did,,,,
I revisited her twice that week,,,,
At that point it was like 12:45 Am ,,,and i went back to the hotel,,,,
Now I dont know if La Bodega picked up after 1:00 AM,,,,But I was never up that late to find out,,,
I can only tell you what I saw before then,,,,which wasnt much,,,,

Coson has one of the best hotels in the world ranked by Conde Nast "The peninsula house". The toll road to get to Las Terrenas is 481 pesos each way. Robert would not spend 481 pesos on dinner for him & his girl. Coson real estate market is one of the hottest real estate markets in the Caribbean.

The only thing I can complain about in Las Terrenas is the ridiculous 18 and 20% Tax on everything,,,,,
I talked about this with Tom the owner of the Scandinavian, and he said it was ridiculous there with the taxes.
The new Fishermans Village was very nice, but there were hardly any people there,,, except for a few gringas,,,
To me ,,,it looks like the powers to be in Sosua would like to change it into what Las Terrenas is now,,

As I was cruising around on the quad one night,,,,a moto dude pulled up next to me and asked me if I was looking for a chica,,,
I said yes ,,but I had a chica sleeping in my bed right now at my hotel,,,

Your t/r has seemingly elicited a nostalgic moment for me. Had I not already booked a my annual "Ball or Fall Tour" for South America, this report would have compelled me to go and spend some time with "Mami's Bebe". The only problem is that I want to "eff" other chicas while I am there but will not jeopardize the preferred treatment that I am afforded whenever I spend time with her.

This is an awsome thread... Fuckin outstanding pictures by the way. I knew sosua beach was beautiful but I had no idea that other parts of the country were this awsome looking... looks like heaven on earth litterally.... major props on this one guy

Had I not already booked a my annual "Ball or Fall Tour" for South America, this report would have compelled me to go and spend some time with "Mami's Bebe". The only problem is that I want to "eff" other chicas while I am there but will not jeopardize the preferred treatment that I am afforded whenever I spend time with her.

Now a few years back ,,,Las Terrenas had a Fishermans Villege,,,Pueblo los Pescadores,,,,,,,With bars and restaurants right on the water,,,,
This all burnt down in a suspicious fire on May 7th 2012,,,,,,
The only fire truck in town wasn't working at the the time,,,,,

There are quite a few restaurants,,,,and the food is good,,,
Italian mostly,,,,, and French,,Mediterranean,,,,,,German,,,,,Seafood,,,,
I eat alot of fish,,,,,and they all had that,,,,,
And little momma can never eat more than half,,,,So every meal we ate ,,,,I got to eat half of hers as well as mine,,,:wink:
The only problem was the 18-20% tax they nailed you with,,,,,
That,,,,and if your hotel didnt serve Mangu in the moning,, (which most of these chicas love),,it was very difficult to find in any of the other restaurants,,Where as in sosua ,,you can find it in Baileys,,,la Roca,,,,,etc
I would call it about even in quality with Sosua,,,,,Maybe a slight edge to LT,,,,
But I do have my favorites in Sosua,,,
One of which is Bologna,,,where we went for my birthday on my last night in town on June 2nd,,,,After her family had a little party for me,,,,
The food was outstanding,,,,,,,,,And as usual I had one and a half meals,,,,,:lol:

I remember on the way to LT there was a section of road that went along the shoreline - I can't remember exactly where, either between Gaspar Hernandez and Nagua, or Nagua and LT? Not sure, but you'd probably know it. It was the most enjoyable part of the drive. I used to have pics but have no idea where they're at now. Really enjoying your pics, though.

I Need a New Samana destination ,and this looks like its the clear winner.. Samana City is also too crowded and too hustle and bustle, IMO. and the FINE restaurant I ate at last year, served us CRAP food this year..nother story, but I hate that..

Before I go on about my return visit to El Limon,,,,The public pool,,,,,and the the waterfall,,,,
I guess since this is sort of a report now,,,,I have to give a shout out to some of the members i ran into this time around,,,,
I started off with three days in Sosua,,,,followed by a week in Las Terrenas,,,and concluded with a week in Sosua,,,,
This trip I ran into a few of my favorite members on this site,,,,,,

I also have a footage of traveling through the rain forrest via donkey or mule to get to the waterfall. As I looked through my videos today, I also have footage of the steps that it seems like you walk forever just to get to the fall. Yeah,, Ive done it twice now,,,,and it does take some work once the horses cant go anymore,,,
I warned little momma about needing to do a little work,,,,,and if she didnt want to, it was ok , we didnt have to do it,, But she was to pumped up to see the waterfall,and getiing on a horse for the first time,,,,
I remember the most work was when you were leaving the waterfall,,and walking up the stairs to the little house at the top where the horses were waiting,,,,We were both sucking a little wind,,,:rolleyes:
Looks Like that flight from Jfk to Samana only flies Wednesday and Saturday and runs around $700 round trip,,,,
I would probably fly into Santo Domingo myself,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
So about halfway into my week in Las Terrenas,,,I ran it by little momma if she wanted to go to El Limon and see
The cascada,,,,,
She was up for it,,,So we headed out on the quad toward El Limon,,,,,
Now I had been there last year ,, and it was quite an experience,,,,
If you end up going to LT,,,I strongly recommend going to see it,,,,
As we entered El Limon ,,,,dudes on motos will drive up next to you and ask you if your going to see the waterfall,,
Then they will try to get you to go to there familys place that has the horses,,,,
My guy ended up being the same dude that tried hooking me up with the big,not to hot looking chica a couple nights earlier,,,,,seems he does the moto at night in LT,,, and helps his father run the waterfall tours during the day,,,,
I told little momma that he tried hooking me up with a chica,,,but I told him I already had a hot chica in my bed,,,
I looked right at him the whole time,,,and he then said ,' I can see now why you didn't need a chica,,,"
I then told him how last year the dude gave me a price per person for the horses,,,and then when the tour was over ,,they tried to jack the price up by saying it was that price per hour,,,,
He assured me that it was one set price,,and that was for everything,,,,,
I also told him that I first wanted to stop and have a bite to eat at the public pool ,,,
He said okay,,,,,and we were on our way,,,,,

After settling up the money with the father,,,They set the horses up for us,,,,
There were lots of family members watching our every move,,,,
The little kids were laughing when they heard the Father saying that they needed to get the stronger horse for me because I was fuerte and had a grande culo,,,,:rolleyes:

Hello X, Great thread,,,,,,,,,I just joined in and I'm loving it. I just flew back into Boston last night after 10 days on the Samana Peninsula. Flying into and out of El Catey was a piece of cake, I got a round trip from Boston with jet blue for $395. After I catch my breath I'll post up about my time in Las Terrenas sin novia,,,,,,I had a blast. The videos are great as well, thanks for digging them up..........

But as far as the nightlife goes,, I was shocked at the difference that one year had made,,,,,
Last year , I went to the Pirate Bar next to La Bodega, and it was crowded starting at 8:00 PM,,,,lots of chicas working and hanging around,,,,,
Then around 10:00pm and on,,everything would shift over to La Bodega,,,,,,
This year ,,,I drove by at 9:00pm,,,,and not one girl at the pirate bar or la bodega,,,,,
Now Little momma doesnt drink much,,,,and between me having her on the go all day,,and from all the fucking we were doing,,, usually would tell me to go out and have a couple drinks if I wanted,,,but she was going to sleep,,,
So I would head back out around 11:30,,,, and there was still nobody in La bodega,,, and a just a couple of stragglers in the pirate bar,,,And about 15 motoconcho dudes,,,, It was weird
Luckily, I did find one little bar that had some cute girls working in it,,,,,
As you leave La Bodega and drive by the politur building ,,,just as the road vears left there is a bar on the left,,,,
I parked the quad,,,and had a drink,,,,,
One decent chica walked over and sat with me,,and after a little talking , gave me the layout,,,,
If you liked a girl here,,,,you negotiated the price with her and went upstairs,,,,,,,
It was at this point I saw a little tiny thing go by all in white,,,,,,
I excused my self from the one I was talking to and sat with her,,,,,,,she was 18 and hot,,,,,,Deal !!!
We settled on 1300 pesos for the hour and went upstairs,,,,,,It was very hot up there ,,,but she was awesome in the sack.
I thought i would have to pay the bar something,,,but i never did,,,,
I revisited her twice that week,,,,
At that point it was like 12:45 Am ,,,and i went back to the hotel,,,,
Now I dont know if La Bodega picked up after 1:00 AM,,,,But I was never up that late to find out,,,
I can only tell you what I saw before then,,,,which wasnt much,,,,
Right now is low season in Las Terrenas. It caters mostly to European tourists who take their holiday in August. The town is very empty as a result. Personally, I like it that way because its a buyers market. Not as much pussy as high season, but there was no shortage either. It is easier to get your price for most everything.
Once you finally get to the bottom of the stairs, and you see this little waterfall,,,,you know your close,,,,
The only thing left to do was walk through a river ,and up a few stairs, and you were there ,,,,,,

Yeah Rub,,, It is an interesting walk,,,,,
The only thing you have to be careful with is walking on the rocks,,,,They are slippery as hell,,,,,,
The guides will help you keep your balance if you are walking through the river on the rocks,,,
They especially like to help the chicas,,,,,IT got to a point where little momma was telling me to help her because the young kid was a little " Too helpful",,,

And then it is about 30 to 45 minutes by Horseback,,,,or walking,,,,,,,,,To the Waterfall,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The horses stopped near the top of the hill just before we had to make the mile (or more) trek to the falls. As I said, I have more video. However, I am feeling rather "effed" up now (after learning of TNT40's unthinkable situation). Please bear with me. It might take me a week or more before I am up to posting more stuff.

Visited Las Terrenas years ago during the day, nice town. 5 minutes from Las Terrenas is El Portillo which has a small airport and the Bahia Principe El Portillo All Inclusive Hotel. Was a nice hotel. Had lunch at the Hotel Alisei, good food, supposedly chef was from Argentina and some of the wait staff were supposedly Argentinian.
Yeah,, the Alisei is a nice place,,,,,
I actually thought about staying there,,,but the prices were a little to much,,,,,
And i could not turn down the deal I got at the Albachiara,,,,

La Dolce Vita Hotel/Residence looks nice with kitchens.
The woman who runs the Fata Morgana Guest House in Las Terrenas, seems like a nice person (I have only looked at the website for her hotel); http://www.fatamorganalasterrenas.com/. Room rates from $15US per night. She gives info on how to get to las terrenas, including public transport using guaguas (minibuses or vans).

That is why when I was in Las Terrenas and just happened to look at what was Available,,,,I couldn,t beleive that they were having a " Smart Deal" for $420 for six nights,,,,,,I couldn.t hit the button quick enough on that one.
It is a great hotel, and the staff was awesome,,,,Including a really cute Haitiana chica that kind of ran the place,,,,She spoke quite a few languages ,,,including really good English.
This was getting little momma very jealous,,,,,she kept saying " Por que chica mucho habla tu en Ingles ?"
"Mi pienso chica gusto tu"
I remember Bailar was telling me this is where alot of the rich Dominicans stay on the weekends,,,and he was correct.
The only hotel i would not recommend is the Corte Del Mar,,,,,

We just pulled up,,,and I went in the office and asked if we could use the beach,,and the dude said "Si,,No Problemo ",,,,
It is a beautiful beach that is a little ways down from the Pueblo de Pescadores,,,,,,,
Had some drinks and chilled out here for a few hours,,,,,

Nice looking place, in the center of town at a reasonable rate,,,,
It Got great reviews on trip advisor under "specialty lodging",,,except that a few reviews said that they charge you for electricity at the end of your stay.
This probably wouldnt bother some people,,,but I like my AC,,,,,,,,,,ALOT !!!,,and probably wouldnt like the looks of the bill I would have got.

I just wanted to post a thank you to my man Givengo for helping me out recently,,,,,
You see, even though I stayed at the executive suite at the Mary Rose recently, I still decided one night to stay at Little Mommas place to experience how she lives.
Now we had been in and out of the place a bunch of times so that she could get some clothes and shit,,,and each time I would give her shit about the tiny little padlock on her door,,and how easy someone could get in.
And of course the night I stayed there, the woman that lives upstairs from her came down and said that someone had cut her padlock and stolen her radio and television.
So then i made the mistake of promising her to get her a new lock that was better and couldn't be cut so easily.
I had remembered seeing the lock in Home Depot.
Of Course after I returned to the states , she kept reminding me about the lock. Didnt ask for anything else, just the lock,,
Now I had been talking to Givengo on the phone a little bit,,,,and I knew he was going down July 3rd,,So I asked him if he could do me a favor .
I told him that I would buy the lock and send it to him by priority mail,,,,and I would have her meet up with him to get the lock. He said no problem at all,,,,,,,
So I send the lock,, and check the tracking number,,,,,,which said it was delivered on July 1st,,,,
On Tuesday nigh, July 2nd ,,,Giv calls me around 11:00PM and says what happened ,,you didnt end up sending the lock ??,,, And I told him that the tracking number said you received it yesterday,,,
Now ,Knowing that he was leaving the next day,,I told him not to worry about it,,,its not that big of a deal,,,I will just bring it down on my next trip,,,
He then tells me no,,I will take care of this,,,,
He ends up going to Home Depot early the next morning,,, about three hours before his flight,,,buys the exact same lock, and texts me with a picture of the lock,,,,and then tells me he will cal me when he gets down there and I can tell him where to meet up with her.
So he calls me and I tell her to go meet him ,,,,
She then calls me back and tells me she thinks she sees him down the street,,but she is to afraid to go ask him,,,,,so i have to call Giv and ask him to go over and say her name cuz she is nervous,,,,,
She gets the lock and calls me back ,,,,and I have never heard somebedy so happy about recieving a padlock,,,,,,,,,:wink:
,,,and Now she tells me everyone where she lives is looking at the big lock like what the fuck is that,,,,,,,
All and all a nice gesture on Givs part to go out and buy it and deliver it,,,,,,,I told him that he Didnt have to do that,,,,,and he just said IT was my pleasure X,,,,Anytime,,,,,,,,

Or think that because she has a badass lock now, she must have something worth stealing! I would not be surprised if if she gets her place broken into now by some thief looking for a big payday. That really sucks, but its is the way things are down there. Hopefully she has some good neighbors that watch out for her..

The thief would be very disappointed ,,,
he would find little of value,
and he would probably find her and the baby ,, as she is there probably 20 hours out of the 24 ,,,every day,,and night,,
I would not want to be the thief after she yells for help and some of her neighbors come to beat the dude down,,,
believe me ,, I have met them,,and even I would not want to fuck with some of them ,, and yes , they do look out for one another ,
