Trying to get some quick Intel on Pure over in Puerto Plata. We've been down in Sosua for a week now and thinking about giving the strip a quick break. Anybody have info on the place and specifically if Sunday night (tonight) is worth it? I'd rather not take the trek over there if it's not worth it.

It's one of those tourist clubs. It's better on Friday and Saturday but it will probably suck tonight. At this point I guess anything would be better than going to D'Latinas for the 5th night in a row.

I wasn't impressed when I was there but my memory is a little fuzzy. I have no idea of the cost of drinks but we had a lot of them! :p
What I do know is that I won't bother again or recommend it especially on a potentially slow night...

Never been there myself. But it was recommended to me by an FB chica that lives in Puerto Plata. Dunno if she did simply because I'm a gringo.

I'd be interested in hearing from someone who's been there on a fri or saturday night.

For the tourist at the all inclusives on the malecon & lots of dominicans "non-putas" (until its time to hit after one...LOL). If an artist is there, even crazier. But on a normal fri/sat...similar to going to a spanish club in the states except the girls are more open to chat with you if you know spanish. But you will also find quite a few English speaking as well.

I stayed at one of the resorts next to that club before i wasnt terrified to stay iff the resort. I honestly love that place. Tons of girls in there. I actually made a trip there when i last stayed in Sosua. If you dont bring the girl back to your place there is a short stay if you make a left outside the resort compound driveway. You can walk there takes 1 minute from the front gate. Just an fyi not every girl in their is a working girl. A lot of regular girls from the resort there.

You mean you come out onto the main highway and it is one minute to the left along the main highway? I have lived in Pto Pta for years and never heard of it or noticed it. What is it called? I will look out for it.

I think even Usain Bolt would struggle to walk to FoD from Pure in one minute. It's about two kilometres.

I know this is an old thread, but last trip to DR in November, we went to club 46 in Playa Dorado... IIRC the drinks were higher then normal prices in Sosua and there were some chicas working in there... At least it looked like it... I cant confirm 100% because we were in a big group with fellas and chicas and I already locked up my chica for the night... El Rey did mention that there was a section of chicas that were all whores...

I was just in Puerto Plata last month and wrote the below listed comments on Pure.

Pure is next door to the Casino and had a 200 pesos cover charge on the night I visited after which you are given a 150 peso drink ticket. It was previously closed but has now been re-opened. It is a small venue with 2 VIP sections an up & downstairs but it doesn’t look like it could accommodate more than 200 people comfortably.
This was no Classicos as I saw plenty of couples and the ratio of men to women was about 50/50. Some of the women were obviously working as they would give you “the look” but it was not always easy to tell looking superficially who was civilian and who was in the game. Once again I saw some of Sosua’s finest there on the hunt in a different venue.

Upon leaving I asked the taxisita outside how much he wanted to take me back to the hotel and he said $10.00 which is over 400 pesos so I walked away from him and called the other taxisita and he stood there looking stupid.

As you probably now know, you always, ALWAYS ask a taxi how much they charge to go someplace before you get in the car.

Whats up guys yes i am new and i actually know several of the members on here...i dont know their user names but i am assuming they are pretty well known being this has become their lifestyle and this website as well. LOL

I stayed at the be live resort and there is another one right next door. This place when i went all week did not have a cover charge and on Friday or Saturday nights is packed! I had a great time, but i also hooked up with a few of the hotel workers. ;)

There is a great selection of girls who are in it to win it. Great place for a more casual meet imo. I will warn that SOME of the girls there will try to beat you in the head with a heavy number being that they know youre a tourist and stay at the resort, but give them the "1500-2000 take it or leave it" and you will be fine.

My first go at it i was getting beat in the head....more then i would like to admit going on this adventure solo.

Quick tip about this short stay. It is in walking distance. Its right after the pharmacy and moto rental place. Dont do the cab because then she will end up looking for cab ride money back to where ever she lives. I have paid differnt prices for the rooms there. $15-25 US.

Also another tip about Pure and all places as i have learned in my trips to sosua (2xs this month) you can get bargin deals at closing time! 1000p to bring them to the short stay and im sure your experience will differ on the girl and you being who you are.

I would have to agree with this statement but if you are in the area its worth a trip
another place i went to was a place called serie 56 in POP. Was a decent place but all girls are just "regular" girls. I quote that because it seems every girl put there has a price tag lol

Haha i have no idea what its called but an old lady runs the place. Got to know her very well. Its a walk up place gate closes behind you.

I went looking for this place about an hour ago. I could not find it even after asking people in the shops near the moto rental place. Near my house, so would like to find it for some place to go to that's close. It sounds like a Dominican bar with chicas. Hope I have better luck next time I try to find it.
