Reopening bar City Lights (http://www.sosuanews.com/index.php?id=3392&article=1)

Tonight, the completely renovated bar / nightclub City Lights re-opens. The bar / nightclub is passed into other hands and the new owners have spared no effort to give the bar a modern appearance. The bar is located on the left side of establishment. In the far back is a stage constructed where artists will perform. The furniture has been completely remodeled and looks really nice.

About the drink prices, we also have good news. The small Presidente beers at 80 pesos and the large beers at 100 pesos

. The nightclub in the back of the establishment will only be open during peak season and special events. The intention is that a nationally known music band will perform frequently.
The bar / nightclub City Lights (formerly Seacrets) is located in the main street Pedro Clisante # 61.

The place has a chance now if they stick to these prices instead of trying to stick it too the patrons. Something the previous owner didn't understand.

Who knows if he's smart it could turn into the alternative venue to D'Latins that so many seem to want.

I don't think the bar will be ready to open for another week or two...

Still Not Open

Think they have some issues there at City Lights.

Don't care name, venue, even owners. In my book, and will give it a split second look,

Are there any good looking girls? - Add 100 points
Playing good Dominican music or Bar Central music - Add 10 points
Playing loud NA crap - Deduct 10 points
Reasonable prices - Add 25 points
Unreasonable prices (more than 25% premium) - Deduct 25 points

To pass a place has to score 65 points, i.e. unless there are good looking girls there I couldn't care less.

They need to PACK that Dance Floor in the back.... If they can do that every Thurs, Fri and Sat Night it might create a Buzz and get things moving in the right direction. ..
Last time i was in there , it was totally EMPTY back there, on like a weekend night, that was embarassing..
And Im glad they stopped gouging with them 200 peso drinks, that shit was FULL RETARD..

So these are the NEW, NEW owners ? like not the NYPD guys who put all that money into it ? interesting.
I Wish them luck. They gonna need it. Lots of potential but noone has been able to make it work yet.

it will never work! it's off the beaten path, it's not on the strip. there are clubs like club X on the strip that were nice and good music and strippers and low drinks, and still failed. if it isn't D'Latins/Rumbas/Classico's/El Flow it won't work!
