I know it's still July, but I'm on the west coast and had to plan and purchase in advance before prices get obscene. Once more I can't find a wingman. Guess they love snowy Chicago and DC. I'll be staying at Sosua Suites Dec 13th-22nd. Sound off or pm me if you'll be in town.

Since my next extended vacation time is in December been toying around with the idea of making it out to Santo Domingo for about a month, from December 20th - January 20th. Still awhile before I decide.

I have the first week of Sept (with u and others) in Meddy Sept 1-8

Vacation days are set Nov 22 (the born day)- Dec 2 (vaca approved and in the calendar at work)

Then have 6 vaca days remaining for the year... (if I dont take a trip on thanksgiving week, I may pull something end of year or first couple weeks of January if I can carry over the 6 days)

For the last 6 days I am leaning towards Meddy again or maybe the south coast of DR, I havent been there since my first of 18 trips to DR in December 2002!

Dont know if Sosua Suites has 2 bedroom apt's, but I believe Rick is still managing the suites so it's an option and right around the corner from all the action...

Success! My military buddy from Chicago who I've shown the light to in TJ when he visited has committed. I'm footing the hotel bill though since he just bought a house with his fiance. That means Rocky's rooms if available.

I guess I'll keep this here. On my last trip, I never got to eat how I wanted. Aside from #38 at Rocky's every morning, I usually had rice beans and chicken that night. Can anyone give me spots for:

1. Best Schnitzel & fries
2. Sancocho
3. Chivo
4. Honorable mentions

The AYCEBBQ is a must this trip as i only have 1 Thursday. They can be from Cabarete to Puerto Plata. I dont mind hole in the walls/shacks. Thx

Sancocho and Chivo should be a family affair... these things are difficult to come by on a commercial basis. My suggestions would be to ask the mama of a favorita to cook a sancocho and the mama of another favorita to cook the chivo guisado... it will be cheap and good that way

I usually don't eat out in Sosua, but Baileys has always been good.

I will be back Dec 6-13. All includio this trip. Got a premium club suite at Barcelo Playa Dorado for three. (Special was $121 a night for three)
Two of my favorites from Santiago are staying with me. I'm sure we will be in Sosua quite a bit.
