I went to Fancy Dancers last July. It is a strip club-brothel near the corner of Kennedy and Maximo Gomez. It is technically walking distance from Hotel Barcelo Santo Domingo (Lina) but it was dark by night so I took a taxi to get there, just a couple of minutes it took me to arrive there. No cover charges. The place is dark and had 15 girls at the time I went there. They strip to full nude. Sex on site cost 2500 pesos. After I declined a girl offer they offered me to take the chica for 2000 pesos, about $50 with room included which I found an acceptable deal. The girl I badly wanted was Chantal, a cute young lady. She is the only one wearing glasses so she is not hard to identify. I spent about two hours there and will return and hope Chantal is still there. I am not sure about beer cost but I think is 150 pesos.

It's been a couple of years since I've been there. I grabbed a girl to take upstairs to the "private" dancing room.

It took me a couple of minutes for my eyes to get used to the low light. Once they did, I noticed there was a camera in one of the corners of the room.

I wasn't too particularly happy about it, and ended up telling the girl to forget about it.

Downstairs again, I asked the manager about it, and he tried to convince me that it wasn't a camera, until I told him I had the same exact setup in my house. He finally admitted I was right, and that it was there for the girls "protection"

Personally, I thought that was a crock of shit, and I told him so and left.

I'm not so sure I want to be captured on tape doing anything with a stripper.

Not that it makes any difference, but the girl wasn't anything to write home about. Slim, big tits. Not the best oral skills.

There were a couple of girls that lots of guys would probably find attractive, but like I said, that was a couple of years ago. I'm sure the help has turned over a time or two.

If you go and take a girl upstairs, take a look around and see if the cam is still there.

Showgirls was just west of Maximo Gomez on Kennedy (north side of Kennedy, just about where the express part of Kennedy starts to elevate). Maybe they are the same place with the name being changed to Fancy Dancers. The now closed Showgirls in Juan Dolio was fun.

I look forward to more of your posts (usually incredibly humorous).

Showgirls (maybe now Fancy Dancers), maybe either A, B or C on the attached satellite image from Google maps.

I stopped in at the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel last month (it was near where I was staying). Spoke with some of the guys I know who work there. Seems there is a new boss there, Dominican guy, he brought in some new workers. Some of the workers who were very nice to me in the past, are no longer there.

Metro Station I believe on the other side of Ave. 27 de Febrero from the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel, you can take the Metro to Avenida Kennedy or change for line 2 at Olimpico (line two runs under part of Kennedy). US50 cents to ride. I saw people just flash their Metro card near the sensor at the turnstile, to enter. Also a station near the National Theater (Plaza Cultura) on Avenida Maximo Gomez, near the U.S. Consulate.

This site is a million times better.

Walking to a strip club at 3AM from near the Marriott Hotel on Ashford Avenue, San Juan, Puerto Rico, after visiting bars on Ashford Avenue (including drinks at the Hotel Vanderbilt), fun trip, saw some pretty chicas that night.

Did you find Danny's Living Room?

No, donde es? How is it?

I visited two strip clubs in San Juan, Puerto Rico. One was Frenchy's on a side street, I was walking there after being in La Plazita, around 11PM, a taxi guy stopped and said he would drive me there for free (most of the taxis in San Juan are large new vans). Good lighting in Frenchy's, women sit on your lap and you can grope them. The other strip club was located adjacent to a main road that has an elevated section, good lighting.

Just about across the street from the Marriott is a bar on the second floor above some restaurants, has an indoor and outdoor part, place was packed, cuties. From there walked to the strip club near the main road with the elevated section.

Fat Tuesday at La Placita had an attractive bartender with nice thick hips and tattoos. Brand 19 cigars can be purchased at La Placita, smooth cigars made in the Dominican Republic, owner is a nice guy from Puerto Rico.

Whoa! That's pushing me.. It used to be located at 2010 Ashford Ave. if I remember correctly. (Long time ago)

Back in the late 60's/early 70's, all of the big hotels had shows by top artists.. Gladys Knight and the Pips, the Supremes, Sammy Davis... lots of big names.

After their shows, they would all congregate at Danny's, which was a dump of a bar, but open all night.

It was an incredible place to hang out and rub shoulders with the stars.

I'd be amazed if it was still there. Ask any old timer in the Condado about Danny's.

I almost died in San Juan. I used to hang out in the Playmate Club a few nights a week with a buddy of mine. We walked out one night, and got down the street about 30 ft, and a bomb went off inside. It knocked me down the street about a hundred feet. I'll never forget it. My buddy and I were crying like babies. (OK, we were drunk) but we realized how close we came to buying the farm.

Wow, terrible, sorry to hear that. That is a life altering event.

La Concha Hotel and Casino (recently restored) is at 1077 Ashford Avenue. Lots of white marble in the lobby and lobby bar. Some pretty waitresses in miniskirts some nights there (uniforms change). Good ice cream at the Ben and Jerry's shop that faces Ventana al Mar Park (located between the Vanderbilt and the La Concha Hotel). Free Jazz concerts at Ventana al Mar Park some nights. Jetblue has a nice new terminal at the San Juan Airport (it was built for American Airlines). Viejo San Juan (colonial zone) is very nice. I walked from the Conrad Condado Hotel to Old San Juan at night, over a thirty minute walk.
