FYI = Your web server company probably has some shopping cart system you can buy with secure checkout. 10-30 bucks a month range.

I buy one for 250 a year. DT could set it up.

The added subscripts you get with a real shopping cart might make it worth it.

then you log in to the system and get the cc numbers securely. I don't process online...offline...

I registered here a while ago but got distracted by Thailand for a few years. I am a regular contributor to a Bangkok forum and am happy to answer questions for guys considering going that way.

I have been to DR a couple times, for very short stays. I have very limited experience. My first trip I stayed with a lady I met online. The second trip I made 1 trip to a casa/bar(?) in SDQ. Now I want to return more often to the DR as it is much closer than Thailand and I am looking forward to reading the useful information here.

Your assumption here is that this is only a DR board, of little interest to someone spending their time in Thailand. I couldn't possibly comment.

Thanks for the welcomes. I got my shit together and was ready to post some Thai TR's but for some reason I am unable to create a New Thread in the Thailand Trip Reports and Pictures. I'm not trying to say that you will do something crazy with it but shit happens..
With that said, you (admin) may be losing a pretty high amount of potential clients.

Jimmy,

I have a question with regards to subscriptions...
Is the intent that the longer subscription purchased, the less the cost?

Your rates are as follows:

3 days is $8.00

1 Month is $12.00
3 Months is $25.00
6 Months is $40

1 yr is $60
2 yr is $90
3 yr is $115
5 yr is $250

But If I purchase a 2 yr and 3 yr subscription and ask that they run sequentially, I will pay $90 + $115 for 5 years = $205
Also, If I purchase two 3 yr subscriptions and ask that they run sequentially, I will pay $115 + $115 for 6 years = $230 as compared to $250 for 5 years.

I understand that this hinges on the premise that sequential subscriptions can be bought.

But how often does the subscription fee change?
That being said, someone who would have shown less commitment (financially) to ISOC previously may have paid less money than someone committed for 5 years.

Just food for thought and consideration.... If I'm missing some logic, please enlighten me.

Hello,
I just found this site and read a ton of information so I'm pretty excited to get over there. I am travelling solo and wanted to see what people thought of going for two weeks. I'm splitting the time between Sosua and Cabarete and maybe one other place on the Caribbean side. I am also doing some surfing, diving and other things beside spending time with the lady's. Is two weeks too long? How much money should I plan on spending on food, drink and girls? How big a deal is it to have a phone? Important enough to pick up a pay as you go when I get there? Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

Hi!!

First of all, thanks so much for all the valuable info on this site!! Reading this info made me pick DR as my next mongering destination along with a couple friends... We are looking to spend a week in DR... Probably split between Santo Domingo and Sousa or some other city which has a lot of chica action...

We just got our flight tickets, and are no researching for good chica friendly hotels to stay at... We want a hotel on the beach, that is chica friendly and also in a location such that it is easy to get to all the chica hangouts in both the cities... even if the hotel is a little expensive it is okay, but we want to stay at a good place with the main objective being to have a jolly good mongering time...

Can you please help with the following info -

1. Is Santo Domingo and Sousa a good mix of cities to visit in DR? Do you guys recommend some other city instead (primarily for mongering)?
2. Can you recommend a few good hotels that meet the above criteria?

Your help is very much appreciated!!

Thank you!!

In SosUa. Contact Dquick or ElRey from the board, they will take care of you at Victorian House, has a view on beautiful Sosua Bay. Or Plaso, also on the board who owns Casa Cayena wich is very close too the beach. Most Hotels are chica friendly in SosUa. If you spend time in Santo Domingo, you should research on boca chica

Of course Boca Chica and Sosua are about 5 hours apart...So with only a week long trip planned it seems a bit too far apart to bother with. Pick one location and enjoy it. The Capital and Boca Chica would easily make a week fly by...

I guess an appropriate question before we go much further is which airport are you guys flying into (and out of)?

davemaryland
08-10-2014, 08:05 AM
I agree with Siochana. What airport (s) are you using. and how many nights on the ground. That info would help.
You said you want a hotel on the beach. So that is boca chica and not the big city of SD.

I did a mid july trip (11 nights) and used SDQ - POP for flights. and we took Caribe tours from SD to pop . BC is a good 30 min. from SD. Just over 3 1/2 hours on the bus and stayed a night at Black Beards. Then onto Sosua. Add about 45 minutes more to Sosua.

I just booked a trip over Labor Day. To meet up with some other BM in Sosua. I had to fly in & out of SDQ to get good flight times and cost. Staying 2 nights in BC again. I am getting a rental car and driving up and back. Takes me like 4 1/2 hours. Staying my last night in BC for the flight home.

I like both Sosua and Boca Chica. But spend most of the time in Sosua.

Hi guys,

Thanks so much for all the information!! It definitely looks like Boca Chica is the way to go!!

Señor JDR of Medellen, is there a secure site where I Can pay for a membership? I feel uncomfortable just emailing you all my details, esp in todays age of identity theft and all.

We are flying into SDQ and spending a total of 7 nights before we have to fly back to the states. With that in mind we figured we would split time between SDQ and Sousa. But it looks like you guys think that may be too much since we have to definitely go to Boca Chica. Any advice folks on how best to split our time, and what to do?

Thanks so much for the hotel recommendations... We will check them out and book one of them as soon as we decide where the hell we want to spend our time :)

But it looks like you guys think that may be too much since we have to definitely go to Boca Chica. Any advice folks on how best to split our time, and what to do?

Thanks so much for the hotel recommendations... We will check them out and book one of them as soon as we decide where the hell we want to spend our time :)

Google Wallet is secure.

if you don't use Google wallet as suggested, you'll just have to consider it a 'leap of faith' moment or you'll never experience the good stuff here. Many have sent info to Jimmy as did I at one point. You will have zero issues.

Hi James,

I sent the money via Google Wallet as requested. Can you please let me know when my subscription is active. Also I would really appreciate it if you can provide me some info on how to start searching for the info needed to have a great mongering experience in DR... We are doing a boys trip down there and we have no idea when we will be able to do it again so we want to have a blast!!

We are flying into SDQ and spending a total of 7 nights in DR, so your advice on where to go, where to stay, what cities to visit, etc. will be super useful.

Thanks again!

Actually I think only the TR and Pics section is in the paid area, everything else is on the free board. Is there any way we could make the whole Philippines section only available to the Paid section of the board? There are people who are never going to give back who don't deserve access to any of that information and if they do get access they should have to pay for it or earn it like many others on the board have done.

Just a thought.

I disagree not with your statement as its dead on but with the consequences that arises from it.

the Philippines board section is the same as all the other sections as far as lurkers go and if we start closing down access there will be no new members to come thru.

we need the old carrot out there for them to see what is available and what may be hidden behind door number 3

shoot I guess that didn't work. As a regular member I can see all of the pics posted.

I was trying to get it so a regular member couldn't see any of the pics posted in the paid section and that both paid and regular couldnt see from what came out of the green section. I thought that is how the board worked from when I did these photo dumps before but I guess that isn't the case.

not really as everyone at what ever level they are posted at if they have that acess or above can see them

if its in trs with tr acess and above sees them

i didn't mean it like that.

Like you see how I have a photo dump in green and one in regular pay section? The pics are all uploaded into those threads as attachments. What I was doing was ccopying the image of the attachment in each respective thread and sharing it here. I was hoping that when I copied from the regular pay thread that only those members could see the pics I copied the image of....regardless of where i shared the image on the board. Open section or anywhere else, same rules applying for green just that the regular pay members wouldn't have access if I copied images from that thread.

I know if its in that section, the thread is there so if you don't have access to the subforum then you obviously can't review what is inside. I just thought there was a cool feature that protected pictures using some weird law based on where the thread originated and where the attachment was sourced. It doesn't work in the way I was thinking.

hmmm or maybe its like this because i double shared the pics in 2 sections....fuck it i'm done with the computer scienceee. im leaving this stuff to the experts!

How many guys? When? For how long? Approx budget per guy per day? Renting a vehicle? Any racial hang-ups/preferences?

If you have not already subscribed to the Trip Reports section, I advise you to do so, at least up to and through the time of your visit and for a short while afterwards so you can post a report. It is always worth one guy doing, so the cost split between a group makes it even more cost-effective.

Hi gents! Buddy and I are planning our first trip to the DR (previous experience with Costa Rica/Mexico/UK/Trinidad/Bahamas/etc) and, well, this site is a great resource. Some of the information I already know, some of it is new, some of it is outdated, and some of it is fresh. It's ALL welcome though. We're going to be in Sousa 11/22-11/26 if anybody is interested in a meetup to impart some DR wisdom, I'll buy the first beer.

Now I'm off to finish researching hotels.

I'll be down there for my 4th trip from the 15th to the 30th. Staying at Casa Cayena. If our paths cross I can at least be a brief tour guide.

Try to read the board as much as you can, lots of good info. Better in the pay area, but read all you can.

None the less I know Rick and will come by to check you if I make the trip. For me business wise it has to work out but I don't think I will have a problem at least at the moment. Hi guys,

I'm a 30 years old German and new to this forum. I saved up all my holidays this year to go for a bigger trip in january, february or march 2015. What I'm searching for is not a total sex holiday: I've seen places like Pattaya already, but I didn't really like them. Instead I had my best times in other places (Cebu, Phuket, Taipei, Singapore) with non-sexworker girls (who would have felt insulted if I had payed them). It's something like that again I'm trying to find, paysex is just supposed to be a puzzle part in it or the fallback plan in case nothing else is working out. I know it's more difficult to get the normal girls, but I'm gladly investing some time hitting on exotic Asians or Latinas compared to an awful flirt with a German girl... First I was thinking about Vietnam and Cambodia because I've been to some the places in South East Asia and love it there. But now i decided to check out some place in Latin America first because:
1. I've never been to any american country at all and I am excited about it
2. I speak mediocre Spanish already which gives me hope that I might have a more intense and fulfilling holiday than in Asia because the language barrier is high there.

What I was thinking about was taking a trip to DomRep and Cuba (each about 2 weeks). Reasons: Carribean islands, hot girls, affordable prices, relatively high security level.
But now I was surprisedly checking some pics of Columbian girls here and I seem to like them better. Security level there makes me worry a bit though. Since I keep on reading and reading I get more and more confused about where to go. I think reading more travel reviews will make it even worse. Maybe you can help me by answering some of my questions to give me a direction.

Which country would you recommend for me as total America newbie? (Spanish or English speaking, low prices, low chance of robberies or weapon shit).
Which countries do you get the best value for money? I guess high English level makes countries more expensive in general. Am I right with Cuba, DomRep and Columbia already?
I read about Medellín and Sosúa for example as sex paradises. Maybe I should check one of these as introduction for my holiday, but then which are the places to go if I want to get hot and easy non-sexworkers as well? In the past I have good experiences with bigger cities because you can find more open-minded girls than in villages or sex tourism places where they all expect money. But maybe smaller places are ok in Latin America if you speak Spanish? I don't know... in Phuket I was able to find both.
My impression from the pics was that the Columbian girls have generally lighter skins, more variation in hair types, more beautiful faces (i know that's a very individual point) and better shaped bodies. Is it true in average or am I totally wrong and biased by the pics here? How about the amount of fatties in these countries?

Hope you can help me a bit because I'm running out of time with my plannings and still too undecisive. I will reward you with an enthralling holiday review.

Best regards

Why dont you start with a reward of some of your SEA pictures from the past... That may help getting some responses from the gang... From what you posted, I would think either Santo Domingo (Capital of DR) or Santiago DR may be best for you...

Hi, travelling to D.R. nov 14, nov 21st
going with wife but hope fir an opportunity to have some fun. Discovered this web site researching, hoping to learn all the good places. I won't have a lot of free so need to execute everything flawlessly. I will be in Santo Domingo for a few days and like 4 days in Juan Dolio. I am excited to read your trip reports. Please let me know if you have any questions. I speak Spanish, but look and sound like a geek, so the thugs will pick me out in a crowd easily. I will be wearing cheapest clothes, no under shirt and no socks (hah hah). Wish me luck. I really need a travelling job, missing out on all the fun.

Hello everyone,

I am new here and planning to go down to Sosua for the week of 24-31 January. This will be my first time, would anyone like to tag along?
I want to enjoy the beach during the day and the chicas at night. I will probably be staying at the New Garden.
How does the public beach work? Do I have to pay for seating and shade? If I end up alone, is it safe to leave a couple of personal items while I go for a swim?

Thanks

Someone may correct me, but I think there is little or no shade on the beach itself. Plenty of shade along the path immediately above and behind the beach. You pay for deck-chairs on the beach. I guess you can hire sunshades?

... is it safe to leave a couple of personal items while I go for a swim?

Very safe ... to assume they will be gone in ten seconds.

its all relative and up to you
its your money you earned it so spend it how and when you want on what you want and have a great time:bigthumbup:

I have done $100/day trips and I have done $300/day trips but lately it seems like most of my trips tend to be closer to the $100/day range

..how much a day american do you guys usually spend on food?

every trip is different and it depends on if you have company or are flying solo and if you have a breakfast included option.

some trips when I have breakfast included I spent less than 10 bucks a day and other times even if I have that option but take a girl out for dinner I can easily spend closer to $100/day especially if you go to higher end restaurants and tourist areas so ymmv just take extra $$ and bring some home for the next trip:bigthumbup:

First trip I would go with a budget of 300 a day. Your going to be like a kid in a candy shop. If you drink you can go through that easy. I often do. I can also cut back and live on less than a hundred. All depends on how you roll.

High budget. Breakfast for two 600 pesos.

Day at beach 1500- 2000. Includes 2 lunches. About a dozen grandes, and a tip. Plus 1000 for beach chica.

Evening rhumbas. 1000 pesos drinking. Dinner 500 pesos . Rhumba chica 1500 pesos.

Classicos... 2000 pesos drinking. 3000 pesos chicas...

this is roughly a 250 dollar budget day and evening chica can be plus 500. Night chica can be plus a thousand.

This is a great newbie who likes to drink budget. This is not a "budget monger" spending guide. You will be 8th weekend warrior mode! Go get them!!

A cheap day. Keep chica from night before go to beach at noon. Eat 100 pesos plato del dia. 200 pesos. Drink a lot of water and a Pina colada. 1000 pesos. Fuck chica from night before. 1000 pesos. Plus dinner at Tony yaroa. 250 pesos for 2.
Skip rhumba straight to classico. Small bottle 600 pesos. Early pull 2k. Call it a night..

$150/day is very realistic. Most days you won't spend half that which leaves more for when you feel like splurging. At the end of your trip you will have enough "return" pesos for the airport transfer.

... do you guys think my $150 a day budget is reasonable?
Is that after you have paid your hotel and transport? If so, very reasonable. But if hotel and transport are to come out of that it will limit you somewhat. You can still have a great time though.

Another issue is how much Spanish (or French if you are interested in coming over to the dark side) you speak. I had a visitor from England recently. Because he could not speak a work of either language he could not take advantage of cheaper options.

... how much a day american do you guys usually spend on food?
I recommend you stop thinking in American and start thinking in pesos (reckon on 40 to the dollar to keep things easy). This will help you to avoid paying "rounded up" prices. So your question should have been "do you think my RD$6000 a day budget is reasonable?".

It's warm down here even in winter so you don't need to eat as much. You aren't burning calories to keep warm. If you have a big breakfast around 11am for 300 pesos and a dinner around 6.00pm for 700 pesos, that is 1000 a day (around US$25). Drinks extra.

Some wise men above are giving you some good feedback to set expectations.

TGunz was giving you some big baller figures and I respect that because he just wants you to maximize your trip and fun.

$150 is a good baseline a day IMO. That should get you 2 ST sessions and a fair amount of food and drink.

I eat 4-5 timers a day in DR at 200-300 pesos per meal. That's $5-$8 US give or take. About 10 drinks per day can be had for about $40. Top shelf imported liquor will cost more.

My approach is:

Day time/beach - I walk with about $1000 pesos only and that covers several hours, food & drink til late afternoon/early evening.

Night - I usually roll with $2000 pesos, for drinks. That allows me to buy a round or two when with the fellas and treat a chica or two.

Chica money will vary.

Seville is in a class of his own. I'm guess 300 pesos a day works for him. He trades chocha shaves for BJs, throw in a friendly tourist buying a drink or a meal or two and he's good. Just kidding. It's all love.

I dont believe we received a reply for the room and board yet... If it's already paid or if it's not and you plan on taking the money for that out of the "daily expense", this can be a big difference... Some places are as low as 30 some odd dollars a night and others can be 100 or more per night... So the opinions of those mentioned are mostly "not including your hotel/villa/condo fees...

Exactly my point. Nothing worst than seeing a broke newbie on their maiden voyage. When guys realize they can fuck 3-4 Chicas a day they tend to loose their mind at first. Then throw in newbie mistakes. I'm airing on the side of caution.

To the op, it's all going to depend on how you roll. Some guys here go out at night and buy bottles, and fuck girls who's asking price starts at 3000 pesos on the weekends for an all nighter. The other end of that spectrum is you may not drink and be happy with a 500 pesos blow job from a Haitian or two a day. It really all depends on you.

My vote is for a bigger budget, or rather more money available "just in case." You can always bring money home.

When my last Sosua trip ended up with me in the hospital, I had to have cash to pay for it. Having the extra cash on hand made things so much easier. (Who posted the photo of the gurney at the Banco Popular ATM, a few weeks ago?)

More recently, I brought home $800 from my December trip to Thailand, and that was after going crazy and buying several hundred dollars' worth of jade jewelry at the duty-free shops in Beijing. It became the nucleus of my "cash stash" for my upcoming trip to Boca Chica in July. It's not like the stuff goes stale or anything.

The more days you stay the lower the budget goes.

The first week I feel like the energizer bunny in heat. After that the pressure fades and the sessions become further apart.

For a 15 day trip i generally end up with an overall average of about $1500 after food and lodging, last trip was slightly lower. Getting older, more naps. :corky::corky::corky:

Length of stay is definitely a factor. The longer the stay, the less money per day. After hotel and transport it's all about how you feel like living. If a grande and a slice of pizza or a 2 piece is your idea of a good lunch then a buck fifty is plenty, especially uf your Ho's are of the 1k peso variety. Hanging with a bunch of wannabe debutantes and socialites and flossing like King Ding Ding will drive one's costs through the roof.

A long weekend trip will run a couple hundred a day but a two week trip for me is barely a hundred a day in M&IE. Then, I rarely do multiple Chica nights anymore. 1 sturdy Lass can get me through the night in my old age. 2 if she's got a Prima I like.

Wait, so now were backing out all the FOOD as well from the projected daily budget..? as well as the Hotel.
Why dont we deduct all booze, gatorade, water , and the whores as well , and we are down to $25 a day ..:rofl::rofl:

just busting your chops..

but do we know yet if the Orig Poster was talking about AFTER Hotel expenses ? or total ..cuz $150 a day is really TIGHT for a first trip, imo..

Newbi should come with $300 for every day, this way he knows he wont run out, and will probably average out no lower than $200..
He might want to Rent a Scooter or what have you, so thats another $ 25 - 40 + a day. to and from the airport, it all adds up.
And I dont see Camarones on the list either.. u know thats a given..

Last trip was Casa Cayena, 2 meals per day included was enough.

Deduct all those and what the hell do you need the $25 for??? Viagra and moto? :corky::corky:

bustin' chops is the national pastime here, no?

$150 including lodging would be very tight, and boring.

Like Westy I always bring more and return with some..... gets me thinking of another trip :iconTU::iconTU:

Well - to the OP

Firstly - I hope you are not a one post wonder - you have lots of advice from some very experienced people.

To add my two pennies :

For a first time visitor - IF you accommodation is already included - $150 being fairly reserved would cover it.
$200 gives you a little more freedom

but I would go for $300 a day.

As Westy pointed out - IF you dont spend it all - you can bring it home.

Its YOUR vacation time - enjoy it - why even have the possibility of thinking - "if only I had brought more money"

Here is another piece of advice for a newbie - make sure you lock your money away in the room safe and girl proof the room.
SHE showers first whilst you double check your stuff is LOCKED away - once checked - then get in the shower with her!

Hi fellow punters!

I registered a year and a half ago but haven't been active. I'm French but I don't live in Europe anymore. I moved to South America 18 months ago and now live and work in a French overseas department called French Guiana, between Brazil and Suriname.

I have been travelling to Asia at least twice a year for the last 8 years but since I've moved to south Am, I've started exploring a little bit around here, hence my registration on ISOC.

My preferred destination in Asia is Thailand where I spend at least 4-5 weeks a year, mainly in Bangkok and Pattaya. I've also been to Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, China and the Philippines.

Since I've been living in French Guiana, I went to the DR for the first time 10 months ago. I spent a few days in SD and a few days in Sosua. I also went to Rio last October where I stayed for 9 nights.

I've had a couple of great experiences in Sosua but to be honest, it's not really my scene: my Spanish is very basic and it's too small compared to my usual stomping grounds Bangkok and Pattaya. I loved Rio, had a few great fucks at the casas in centro and at the termas.

My next destination will most likely be Medellin. I'm trying to take some time off work and will maybe spend a week there very soon (after Easter) or if I can't, I'll go next October or some time next year!

I don't really go to Vietnam for mongering, the girls are beautiful but prostitution being illegal there, I just find it too much of a hassle (not many hotels are girl friendly, many girls will try to rip you off.) There are hostess bars too but I can't be bothered. I only get the odd BJ in HCMC when I'm there. The most famous BBBJCIM establishement is Ben Ny on Dien Bien Phu Bridge. I was there for the last time in 2012.

The scene in Cambodia is mainly in Phnom Penh. There are hostess bars on str 136, 104 and the surrounding streets plus str 51 and Martini's (FL pickup bar).

Here are a few girls I was with in Cambodia a couple of years ago. I had to hide one of the girl's eyes because she's now married to a rich Cambodian so I wouldn't like this picture to end up in the wrong hands (better safe than sorry).

it's technically illegal in Thailand too, they just don't really give a crap. lol

Vietnam is still on my radar, maybe for a short trip to feel it out. Still worth a visit for the food. I think I could do 4-5 days in/around Da Nang even if there wasn't much in the way of chicas.

Thanks for the info and pics.

Good looking ladies

My understanding is there are quite a lot of Vietnamese girls available in Cambodia.
Some of these girls look like they could be of Vietnamese origin.

From what I have seen the Vietnamese girls can be quite attractive

Did you find that there were a good number of Vietnamese girls available or were most of them of Cambodian Khmer origin?

You're right, there are Vietnamese girls in PP. I Would say maybe 1 out of 7. The girl whose eyes I've blacked out is half Viet half Cambodian. Vietnamese girls look more Chinese, ie they have lighter skin and their noses are usually less flat than Cambodian girls'.

Are you considering staying there, or just a afternoon visit?

General consensus is that it has gone downhill badly since the change of management. Short visits are particularly poor value.

Very few gringos go there these days so there is little info. What there is is not encouraging. Shame really. At its best it was the nicest location on the North Coast.

As a newb I can tell you that It is very shady to provide checking or credit card information over email.
I'm not trying to say that you will do something crazy with it but shit happens..
With that said, you (admin) may be losing a pretty high amount of potential clients.

If you need help with setting up a middle-man provider bitcoin/skrill/paypal/dwolla/wepay,etc please contact me. I'm a senior web developer.

Square and Goggle Wallet are available now.
