I have been thinking of a trip to the DR and was looking at AI but as I start to read all of these fine comments...I am about to change my mind.
Anyway just saying hello, I see I have a lot of reading to catch up on. LOL

If you are coming without a woman with you then do not stay and an AI.

I am planning on coming alone...you know get the package of a 24hr girl...thing but dang....you guys are my new heroes.............

If you are committed to one woman for 24 hours then you could stay at an AI for one day and night. But you would have to rebook with your next woman. And if the hotel was not impressed with your first choice (looked or behaved like a cheap slut) you might have to try a different hotel.

But if this is your first trip to the DR I strongly recommend you do not follow that strategy. If you feel confident and have a little Spanish you could jump in the deep end in Sosua. If not, start at Blackbeards or Field of Dreams until you get the hang of things.

A flight/hotel package at an AI can be a money-saver if you have a girlfriend and enjoy doing the tourist/beach stuff. If you are mainly coming to fuck different women you will spend more than you have saved on taxis and short-time rooms, and you will miss out on the fun and good advice from hanging with seasoned mongers.

Subscribe to the Trip Reports until the time of your visit and start reading and enjoying. This could save you from expensive mistakes.

24 hours is a long time to spend with a woman in the DR on your first trip. especially when theres so many to try. When you see the possibilities i have a feeling you may alter your plans to include hourly and/or one night women.

The "dang" term is my southern expression for DAMN!!

Now I am completely re-thinking my trip. I would like to go to BB and just kick back for a couple of days try a couple of ST girls and maybe on LTN...that is all the free time I can get away right now.

The problem is I can't fly into POP it would have to be STI and then I have the drive to content with, decisions decisions...

The best part is after you read enough, you'll get a little help on your first trip. When you return and post a report (with pics as an added bonus), you'll get a ton of support/ advice back. :smile:

Half hour to airport, 2.5 hour wait, then the flight and then the travel time to the hotel. I can be in Atlantic city in 3 hours or Flushing in ten minutes.

I am bored right now so I booked a hotel in London (ontario) tomorrow night as I have a dodge challenger to pick up Monday morning that I bought while I was in Colombia last week and even though its only a 4 hour drive and I usually just leave at 4am to miss the Toronto traffic I said wtf get a room get a hooker get a bottle of rye get a pizza and wing combo and charge everything to the tow call (tax write off:wink::corky:):rofl:


plus I get a free night out of it as choice hotels have a book 2 nights and get 1 free night special this 1/4 :corky:
and since I stayed at a 30$ hotel last month in west Virginia the 3 nights will average out to $33/night as tomorrows is $69 (good number eh:wink:)

I would say go for it. While I prefer longer trips, I have taken many short trips. 2 days are better then no days.

I went to Jamaica for 2 nights for an "invasion"....:rolleyes:
Went another time for 3 nights.
Went to Cuba many times for 3 nights.
Went to DR many times for 4 nights....
Went to AC for 8 nights. (Many people consider that short)

I think I am able to stretch my vacation to three days. I will be arriving to STI on Friday taking the hotel transportation ($90) to the hotel. Here is a breakdown of by budget....

Please don't flame me for the three day trip...airfare was free. we love free.

Based on a exchange rate of 38:1 here is my breakdown. I would appreciate all feedback. I may be heavy on the Chicas I don't really think I can do three a day but I may do a happy hour...

I went once for two nights (and triple bonus miles) and had a BLAST. Still have the miles (up to almost two free rt trips) on jetblue.

there was a time before social networking,where you did'nt know what to expect,what it cost,and if it was safe.But you went because you had the time and the money....if you have both of those than do what you want and create your own experience. Sometimes too much info is not a good thing...this is not a cookie cutter operation, this is life...what one finds disturbing some others might enjoy...some find it "scary" others embrace it ...better to cut your own path than follow someone's else's...Yes,i understand that this forum is to "inform" but if you cannot make the move on your own merits you should look in the mirror and ask what you are really looking for,..Shit happens to even the most informed....Take everything at face value,in the end it all comes down to $$$$$$$$.......both on this site and on the street.....Just my 2 cents.....
