Yes I am a newbi, and justifiably classified as a "Lurker", but hope to remedy both soon. I've been looking into a trip to the DR and fortunately my research led me to this site. Lots of expertise here and, as the saying goes...I did not know what I did not know. Questions to follow as I continue to read and get a bit more informed. Hello for now, and thanks for all of the information and advice shared here.

You have the right approach to win friends here. Read up first, then ask questions afterwards.

Strongly recommend you subscribe to the Trip Reports section. A few dollars spent on that will save you money when here and improve your trip greatly.

whynotme- Check the new avatar. That's the flip side. Heads or tails, you win with this beauty. I have to admit that though she is an escort, I know her only as a friend (long story).

Thanks, yes, I'm finding that a lot of my questions have been asked a hundred times. I'll try to avoid being number 101 on too many things. You'll see I subscribed to the Trip Reports and am headed there now to learn more. Not a bad line of study. Hey a bonus to joining, an instant upgrade from "Lurker" to "Subscribing Member". That's worth the price of admission right there. Newbi's/Lurkers take note!

The more you read, the more you learn and the more questions you will get answered.
