I was looking for a close condo to the strip. I didn't like the distance of Tradewinds when I stayed there.

So going to try this out end of August. They have been written up before but I couldn't find an exact thread so thought I would start one.

Guests are allowed with ID. I think you can have more than 1 guest with ID...not sure.

If anyone is in town Aug 24-31...give me a shout. Maybe we can have an epic VP Labor Day pool party on Sat Aug 30 at Victoria.

A lot of the units only have AC in the bedroom...I got one of last ones with AC all over...so look out for that...

Good to know, but I honestly haven't even turned one on the last several trips.

I stayed at El Neptuno a few time nice spot. you have to pay for electric if you run the AC be careful can get expensive I did bring two girl back in the day but no security was on duty only at night. most days had the pool to myself .

IMO you'd be better off at Sosua Suites. I believe they are cheaper and they're definitely closer to the action and have a pool.

Also no issues with chicas or having fun...and it's right across the street from a super marcado and Rocky's....and just steps from the bars and clubs...

I don't think that El Neptuno really wants mongers, quiet or not, to be their guests....I have that on very good authority from people who own there.

I don't want to be anywhere where people are going to give me stink-eye AND they're too expensive.

I had the fan going and the A/C going. I wanted it cold so I could sleep, until my wingman woke me at 7 to start our day. Best 6 or 7 hours sleep ever.:corky:

I was getting them 2 at a time for 500 at one point...and fucking one of them....or both sometimes for 600.

But, that was a long time ago...and I think they were looking for a certain Dutch former beach bar owner who was not home at the time...(I definitely checked cedulas too to ensure they were at least 18ish) :p:rofl:

Hey bro it looks like we will finally get to meet. My Jarabacoa trip will be that week I will be in Sosua 20 August for a couple of days head to Jarabacoa and return to Sosua departing 28 August. I just sent an e-mail checking on their rates.

I stayed there on my first couple of trips in 2005. Nothing really special about the place, except maybe its location as it is tucked out of the way from all of the action and noise. Some of the units are owner occupied, so don't expect it to be any sort of party environment.

I stayed there in 2006. I rented from Ramona, she said something about not bringing prostitutes back:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:, in Sosua really..

The place was ok, but not worth the price considering the other options, but closer than the trade winds/palms.

I checked for long term in case that's the spot I want to live in when I retire and I was quoted $1400.00 per month. For my August stay I was quoted $100.00 per night. .. I think I will select a less expensive option.

I got 450 for 7 nights...so week is best option there...65 a night...plus electric...who knows what that will be.....

I stayed there a few times in 06 and 07. And I remember really liking the place. It's far enough from the strip to avoid the noise. Yet, its still close enough to walk to everything.

Back then, the 2bdrms were going for $85 a night. And I don't remember paying for any utilities. Haven't been back in a while because I think I remember hearing that the owner I used to rent from stopped renting to single guys.

As far as quality and location goes, El Neptuno was an extremely good deal IMO. I have very good memories of my stays in that community.

Review:

Real nice condo development. Excellent location. I could walk to the strip in a couple blocks. Its right near Victoria House.

I rented B-4. Great big screen TV in living room. Decent TV in bedroom. Cable is good and you get porn channels also.

This unit has AC in the living room. Many of the units don't. The guest bedbroom does not have a TV but better air conditioner. The master bedroom ac is built into the wall and is kinda noisy but you get used to it. It is an older unit. I wish they had the newer type units with the temperature controls in the master.

The Wi-Fi did not work with my laptop because it was an old router. Ramona who runs the complex had it switched out for a new one. Romana is great. She is on top of everything. She is pretty hot also :wink:

My only complaint on the unit is the wicker furniture in the living room. I hate wicker furntire..lol..not comfortable....

My electricity bill was 75 for the week. I was careless on using it so you could lower that by a lot.

I had no issues with other owners looking at my chicas etc. I didn't hang at the pool. I couldn't find the workers once to get an ID at 7am when a chica wanted to leave. The security leaves at 6am so you have to find the workers to get the IDs from 6 till Ramona gets in.

I don't know if I would recommend it for 2 young guys partying a lot at the unit. It is more for the single guy who wants a quiet place close to the strip.

I did miss daily maid service and don't know if I need that big a place in the future. So don't know if I will go back. Overall I give it a thumbs up :iconTU:
