That Pizzeria looks very Delish

BUT

The business end of those Pizza Peels.. (that large thing they use to put the pizza in the hot oven and then take it back out)
should NEVER be on the Dirty Floor like that..
They make WALL RACKS SPECIFICALLY FOR them
look it up.



maybe thats how you guys got Sick... even with the hot oven touching it, you dont know whats on that dirty floor and then transfers to your pizza crust which you are eating.

If you haven't already, try this place out. It's about 20 yards west of Janets in Cabarete on the same side of the road. It's a little more authentic and pretty good imo.

Actually it is totally different from the beginning of the thread, when it was first reported on in December of 2014, run by a totally different group, and everything is much better, in my opinion.

You recall in July when you came for the 4th of July invasion, we had the beach all to ourselves, as they were in a transition period. The original Gusta who I sold my business to, now subleases to a couple of Italian guys, they opened July 10th of 2015, and signed a sublease for 6 months due to expire Jan. 2016. They are doing a great job, they are the ones who hired the sexy chicas on the beach. They also have gone through 2 pizza makers the current one is excellent, a young kid early twenties who trained at a bakery, probably the best pizza, I have tasted in this country.

I expect and hope that they renew their lease, this time cutting out the middle man, and signing directly with Rocco. The original Gusta is having financial problems, so don't expect them to be around much longer. As the owner of that property across the street, that includes the hotel and original restaurant, is taking them to court. I hope these guys continue, as I like their pizzas, good taste at a good price. Plus they hire sexy, fuckable chicas, changes them in and out often, so always new tang. Once they work there, and get used to fucking for gringo money, it is hard for them to stop cold turkey, I get to meet them, talk them up, and when they leave, and looking for a little help, they know they can call me, to get them over the hump on occasion.

Remember my main business and best money maker when I had the place was calle Duarte, right now they can only produce on the beach side, that should all change, Jan. 10th.

WeII it is over, Gusta tropical on the playa as we know it is done, they of course wanted to stay, but they signed a bad contract.

As it turns out the people I originally sold my business to, are back in control of the beach, and are suing the two Italians who did such a good job in building the business, Italians is too bad for them, as high season is here, and boca has been packed over the holidays, and all signs are that it will continue as many tourists due to Isis crisis have changed European vacation plans to the the carribean, and the D.R., gets a share of that.

The new guys agreed to pay gusta hotel 60,000 euros on January 1st close to $70,000 for the business, way too much, and they realized it, so they tried to renegotiate, but the hotel guy wouldn't budge as he has some issues as well that I will get to later. They had a six month trial period with Rocco, paying $1,100 a month for the beach and Duarte side, where the pizza oven was located. To be fair the hotel dude spent about $25,000 for improvements he made from when he bought the business from me. Including hiring an architect for the new design on the beach and on Duarte side, including the pizza oven which came direct from Italy, and all told after shipping and customs came to about $15,000.

Now getting back to the hotel guy, he is actually out on his ass over there, as from what I understand he is being sued by the owner of that property for lack of payment, he hasn't paid rent in 3 months, could be 4 now. His rent was $ 6,000 a month, so he owes either $18,000 or $24,000, so he obviously needed the euros he was expecting to receive.

Bottom line is it goes back to the hotel guy, who knows nothing about the bar business as displayed by his mismanagement, when he had it before. All the chicas that worked on the beach are now out of work. But that is kind of good news for me, as I have 5 of their numbers and a I am willing to help them out, in their time of need.:rolleyes::corky: As long as they help me out mutually.

Don't know what his plans are, he and I aren't particularly friendly, had a small confrontation with his son about as year ago, when he bitches about me using my table to entertain some chicas of mine, had to remind him to read the contract. Yesterday they removed all the tables etc., plus they put a security guard all day on the beach as if they thought the other Italians to do something. Kind of stupid in my opinion. I think he has two weeks to clear out from the hotel side his equipment, don't know where he is putting it but Rocco won't give him any more room, so I guess their plan will eventually be to put the kitchen stuff in the area where the pizza oven is, and having seating on Duarte at night along with the beach. But who knows? I think he has the wrong personality for this type of business, but maybe he has learned something, observing the other guys, but he is stubborn so I doubt it.
