Can anyone assist on hotel suggestions for SF [San Francisco de Macoris]?

I assume best way to get there from Santiago is Carib Tours?

I have a civilian student at the catholic university there that might be worth a day visit.

She's so cute...this 20 yo cutie gets super jealous when she can't chat with me. I love it. She's not asked for a dime yet either.

It will not be worth it... Make her visit you!

Think about the time to get there. I did a quick google maps search: it is 1h 07m door to door by car. there no direct caribe express busses there according to their website

https://www.google.com/maps/place/San+Francisco+de+Macoris+31000,+Dominican+Republic/@19.2991112,-70.2632761,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x8eae2dee3ffb7057:0xdf0e765fe8758223

Again make her visit you. it is your vacation not hers! if you do, line up a few. IMHO you will need 2.5 days there to enjoy it.: one day to get there, one day to enjoy and 1/2 to get back to your homebase.

think about everything? what is she doesnt let you fk? what if is dead during day/night? would you give up a weekend in a small town you dont?

Best to have her visit you and if you feel the chemistry then re-evaluate if it worth it.

I talked one of my chics and she said its beautful but its a pueblo.

For me.. its not about the money spent to get there, dine and wine; for me its about the time, I cant get that time back

I visited there and checked out a few minor league baseball games. Many of the major league teams have Dominican prospect teams there. Other than that, it's just a small city. Not much to look at.

And on a side note, many of the big time Dominican drug dealers in New York during the 90's crack era built these huge mansions in San Francisco de Macoris. A little Dominican nyc crack trivia.

Anyway, I would convince her to take a gua gua to Santiago for lunch and "mas conoces".

San Francisco de Marcoris

I would do a Saturday & Sunday trip only because my objective is to experience the entire Dominican Republic and I have never been. I would pick the weekend because that is the time you can enjoy most places in the Dominican Republic as they come to life then.

I agree with setting up multiple chicas in the same local however, if she falls through you can always higher a taxista to take you to the PFP or ST spots throughout the city. San Francisco is on my radar and I hope to visit sometime in 2015. When I do I will report my findings.

Never ever ever meet someone on their turf, especially if you know nothing about it... And, it's far from everything you do know... Not sure which number trip this is for you, but I know you have done some exploring in Santiago... Definitely have her come to see you in Santiago via cheap buses and publico... Do not send her money to come see you... Tell her you will give it all back to her when you meet her! Then you will know for sure if she really gets jealous and wants to see you for you...

And I dont want to here that she has no money to get to you... Neighbors or family and friends can lay out the money for a cheap publico and/or gua gua...

Edit: Although it may say it takes about 1 hour and few minutes to get to SFdM by car, most likely it will be closer to 2 hours...AT LEAST

If she won't come meet you in Santiago then she probably won't fuck you in SFdM either.

Total waste of time & energy going to her.

I have to respectfully disagree since I have travelled safely to quite a few places in the Dominican Republic that I have never been and plan to do more of the same going forward.

I think both positions have merit depending on what the OP's intention is. If it is just to get "toto" maybe it is not worth the time effort and expense. I have had experiences traveling throughout the Dominican Republic that cannot be quantified they are experiences I will never forget. Therefore I believe the answer to the question depends on what the objective of the trip is.

I got a chic from san cris (>1hour) that visits me. She asks her aunt/cousin/friend to lend her the pesos. I believe its 75 pesos for express bus from where she is at.

Mango, its time to see this chic! Show us if she is worth a thread, the trip, the conversation?

I've been to SFM on several occasions and actually like the city/area. Lots of lush farmland. The farmer's market in centro is absolutely wonderful. Some of the best fruit and vegetables you will see anywhere. The quality rivals what you'd see here in the states. Lots of NA type products there in the supermarkets at reasonable prices. I suppose this has do to the taste of the former NYC narcos that settled there. There's a huge La Sirena there that is probably twice the size as the one in POP. The city is not really a P4P spot, but there is a Crystals like casa setup that like the La Sirena is probably three times larger. The place is famous as the culo capital of the republic. Big old pretty asses for days. My ex who is from there told me that the reason for this was that unlike other cities/places in the Ciabo valley the population in SMF did not try to stay as light as possible so there's a lot more african/haitian in the gene pool. The town is a great place to visit with a novia or sure thing. I wouldn't recommend going there to see a stranger even if I was certain I'd get laid. Now after you've known her a while by all means visit SFM. I think you will enjoy the place.

That's fine, everyone has their own opinions... That's what makes this board great... You are also now retired and have some training from your former job that most of us don't have... Not saying that could make it safer for you then others, just sayin, you could probably take care of yourself more then the average monger... At the same time, noone can beat a bullet if it came down to it... This is the extreme, but possible anywhere we go, including the city we live in... Anyway, If you have all the time you need and want, you can visit and even if things fall through and you don't meet the chica, you would be visiting another place you haven't yet on the island, so this would not be as big of a let down for you as it would be for vacation travelers on a time limit.

I'm with you Cam. I use to meet girls on DC, rent a car and drive town to town fucking. Until I met El Rey. I was always solo. But I would say it's not for everyone. But imo has worked out well for me! I believe it has for you as well!

Just make her come to you, I can never picture myself going anywhere for a chick, that isn't the bus station in whatever city I'm in. Explain to her how you being in a comfortable environment for yourself, will help you be more at ease to create a fun atmosphere for her, and that it's a win win, this logic has never failed.

Anyone stayed in Higuey?

Thanks for everyone's input.

Here is what I have found out:

Hotel:
Hotel Las Caobas is the spot. About 50 bucks. Is where all the baseball teams stay when in town.
Cabanas. There are almost as many as there are in Santiago. Hmmmm. Cost = ~us$18 for the night.

Chicas:
There is one Crystal-like strip club somewhere. Not yet found the name/location.
There is one notable hangout bar/club called the Buffalo. [semi and non-pro]
Hotel Las Caobas was mentioned to have a casino [unverified].

I stayed at Las Caobas. When I was there they were renovating the casino which is in a separate building that is not connected to the hotel. Really liked the hotel. Big place on huge grounds. I had a favorita with me when there so I can't tell you a thing about wi-fi or guest policies. I can say though that of hotels I've stayed in on the island, outside of the US chains, it was the best.
