Novus Cahoba Hotel -Calle John F Kennedy, Mao

Mao is a small town of about 50,000 people that doesn’t have many hotel choices. There is the infamous Hotel Agua Azul and Hotel Linea but the Novus Cahoba is definitely the premier hotel in Mao. The hotel has a casino, night club, spa, gift shop, pool and restaurant and meeting rooms. The hotel was very modern with a contemporary feel.

There is a full service restaurant but I did not look at the menu or eat a full meal during my stay. The restaurant served breakfast which was included but there were only a few buffet items like eggs and pastries.
I went without a reservation and I got a large room with 2 queen size beds. The air-conditioning worked well and although the TV was connected to cable it many channels were unavailable. They have WIFI but I did not use it do to having an Orange hotspot. I did not see a room safe but there was plenty of closet space. There were plenty of towels and hot water.

I was impressed with the grounds but most impressed with the staff, it seemed like there was a small army working from the front desk personnel to security wondering the property and I might add there was some eye candy at the front desk. My major complaint would be the hotel is across the street from a local “Drink Bar” and they blasted their music during different times during the day.

In short this was an excellent hotel and I will likely stay again when I return to Mao.
