Camaro’s Journal Part #1 -2015

I am ready to begin my first extended stay in the Dominican Republic. My previous stays have been from 5 to 45 days however this time it is my intention for this stay to be 3 months or so. I still struggle with the transition from tourist to ex-pat mode but that is a work in process. I am still in pursuit of some sense of normalcy but I have yet to see what that will look like for me but I will continue to enjoy the journey until I find what fits.

I will update this journal with significant events and photos writing 2 reports, one I will be in “The Life of an Ex-Pat” thread which will contain random chica pics and chicas of interest. The second report will be in the “Green” section because some of the chicas I will be seeing are non- pros.

Good luck with the transition, and it is a bit of one, but I am sure you will find it relatively smooth, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders, and you don't seem to be one to delve into too much excess, which I think is important. The problem that is a hard one for ex-pats, at least it was for me, is to remember you live here, and are no longer a tourist. That is especially difficult when friends come into town, as they want you to party like they do, while they are here, the problem is they go home and slow down, and as soon as they leave there is another group right behind them, wanting you to do the same thing. If you try to keep up with them, it will run you down physically, mentally, emotionally and especially financially.

Once again good luck, know your limits, it is great living in paradise, but not always easy.

Boca Chica otra vez

I have previously stated I felt like Boca Chica was the armpit of the Dominican Republic but perhaps I have been too harsh. Since arriving in Santo Domingo is less expensive than arriving in Puerto Plata I plan to spend the weekend in Boca Chica and see what kind of mischief I can get into.

I can be a bit judgmental at times if I have a first bad impression. I realize sometimes you have to return to a person place or thing to see it with a different set of eyes so I will not only be repeating with Boca Chica but some chicas that I have written off we will see how that develops during my stay.

Maybe on a Sunday? Lotta chicas from SD and surrounding areas in Boca for the beach then. But she'd likely be with family and friends. Or her patron.

Good point. Back when BC was flush with short eyes I couldn't stand it and only went in the daytime to swim while staying in Santo Domingo. As much as I like the capital, there's water everywhere but no beach and I'm not a pool Guy. Around 2009 while on a day trip to BC a buddy and I wandered up the hill and discovered casa Iraisa and came back the next day with 4 others in tow and the next thing you know our week long trips to Santo Domingo included at least one overnight stay in BC as the eradication efforts against kiddie porn pervs made the place much more tolerable and we were meeting pro's, non-pro's and everything in between and had a regular rotation of Chicas coming from there to hang out with us in the capital.

I have found Boca Chica to be much more of a relaxing stay as opposed to Santo Domingo where there's so much to do that rest is something for when we get back home and I'm getting too old for that shit. In Santo Domingo I probably spend $30-$40 a day on taxi whereas in BC I can walk or moto just about everywhere and for being only 10 or so miles away, it seems to rain a lot more in the capital. I haven't figured that one out yet.

All the stunners I've had that insisted on being paid more than a 20% "I am fine" markup price have been absolutely lousy in the sack. Just for the record I've seen a few chicks come through Sosua that were at least as attractive as Halle.

I feel ya on that one there, I was in SDQ one month ago, and I was plunking down $100 dollars a day in taxi.

Tourist Card - Las Americas International Airport

Wicked Willie advised me he saw may name on the list for hard copy resident cedulas; now I have the paper cedula (when I have the hard copy I don't have to pay any fees) so I had to pay the exist fee when I left and I have to get a tourist card when I come back.

At Las Americas there are 2 lines for your tourist card, one line leads to the cashier where you don't need exact change and the other leads to the automatic machine that dispenses your card but you have to have $10.00 exact change. Generally the cashier line is longer than the line for the automatic machine. Since I don't have exact change I am standing in the cashier line which is very long.

The casa de cambio is next door to the tourist card desk and someone from the casa de cambio walks up to me and says if I don't have exact change they can change my money and exchange dollars for pesos. I laughed at him and said yeah at 37-1 he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders...:lol:

Hotel Garant & Suites

On my last stay in Boca Chica I stayed at Hotel Garant & Suites. I should be trying different hotels in Boca Chica so I can write reviews but this place is so convenient and very comfortable. You can easily walk to the beach and the strip from the hotel and although it is not fancy it has a homey kinda feel to it.

My room has a flat screen television a digital safe and a refrigerator it is very simple but comfortable. I didn't have a reservation so I just walked in and they had a room available. My one complaint would be there are only 2 towels hanging and 1 on the floor if I have multiple guest that might be a problem.

Maximo Playa

Maximo Playa is at the far west end of Playa Boca Chica and has a beach entrance and street entrance just as you enter town.

It is an open air venue with a bar restaurant and sits right on the beach. It has a night club kinda feel to it. If there was ever a big wave or tsunami you'd get drowned no doubt. What was different about the venue was not just that it was on the water but the jet skis rode right up to the dock of the restaurant which I thought was pretty neat.

There were no 8's or 9's present but there were some honies present. Although it appeared to be couples and families hanging out.

There was a real nice Latin / Dominican vibe with dancing to Latin music

The fish was good but the wait staff sucked! They took their time and were VERY slow. I asked for tomatoes and cucumbers but I just got a regular salad I just ate it and enjoyed the vibe.

Over all I like the spot would be nice to hang with a wing or with a lady friend but I don't know if I will return this trip there is just too much to do and see.

Máximo playa has some incredible looking women come through, as you say normally with Dominican boyfriend, family or a bunch of girlfriends. If not Dominican not easy to score in my opinion, but never really tried. When I have been there, normally with another chica, so all I could do was to appreciate the beauties.

Playboy Club -Calle Jose Pena Gomez

I went for a stroll on Calle Jose Pena Gomez north from Calle Duarte and found the Playboy Club. The Playboy Club is a casa de cita, where the girls sit outside watching the traffic go by. I went inside and the girls followed. There was a bar where the Mamasan also served as the bartender. I sat at the bar and the girls did their booty dance trying to get my attention on the dance floor in front of the bar.

There are rooms in house and the Mamasan told me it is 2500ST, 4000 for 2 hours and 5000 TLN. I didn’t negotiate but I got the feeling she would be flexible. There were 4 girls 1 was an 8 and my opinion flaca with a canela complexion and the others ranged between 6-7 and nothing to write home about. The Mamasan advised there are more chicas available, I might try to taste before I leave.

Piano Bar- Calle Duarte

The Piano Bar is one ofthe primary venues on Calle Duarte. The venue has 3 basic parts they place chairs on the street and have waitresses outside to serve you. There is an open air section next to the bar with seating and the inside of the club. The Piano Bar is the primary early evening pick up spot for Calle Duarte before El Bateygets cranking after midnight. The waitresses are available for a 1000 pesos salida and whatever you negotiate with the individual chica.

After leaving the Playboy Club I walked the strip which was active but kinda slow. I stopped at the Piana Bar and had a bottle of water and watched the sights. I ran into one of Sosua queens and when I told her I saw her in Sosua she tried to play it off, I was thinking "so I gotta take a photo every time I see you in Sosua?" Anyways every time I see her she always mean mugs me but this time she smiled so I pulled the trigger. She went cold on me with one word answers looking around like she really wasn't interested so she was dismissed.

I was chilling and saw another Sosua queen but this one I connected with and went to the room. I have seen her many times but because of her mug I wasn't attracted to her but this time her body was bangin so I pulled the trigger. The sex was mediocre but honestly I like her and enjoyed her company. I am sure I will return before I leave.

The Boat House

The Boat House was where I met Ramiar and Skynard about 2 years ago, I didn't not make it last trip but I decided to return to one of Boca Chica's staple.

So I went for breakfast which was good but why did I get the BACON? Damn I got heart burn I just can't eat some stuff like I used to but it was pretty good.

So I went with the intention of getting breakfast and returning to my room and what did I do? I stayed for 4 hours I was sooooooooooooooo relaxed with the warm breeze it was really nice. A few beggars harassed m of course because I was on the water's edge but that comes with the territory.

I dont think you have figured that out yet. I am interested how things work out. Do you know at this point what you are going to do to keep yourself busy? Do you have hobbies? You dont drink so you cant sit on the beach and drink all day. Take Spanish courses 5 days a week? Golf? Scuba with Westy? You still are knocking down hos like a tourist as you say so I guess its a work in progress...Doesnt seem like much progress though :wink:

Hanging with Yayow

Shout out for Yayow taking the time to show me a little of Boca Chica outside Calle Duarte. I have dubbed him Senior Suave since I got to see his moves first hand…yea even Camaro hath much to learneth…:wink:

We went to the following venues:

Casa Iraisa Calle Juan Batista

Casa Iraisa is behind a steel sliding gate and when you walk in you enter a pool area. After arriving they ring the bell and about 12 chicas present themselves. Let me say this is no Crystals-Puerto Plata or Passions-Santiago if there was 1 “7” in the group they would have been doing well. The chicas were not high pressure like Crystals they were laid back.

The pool looked to be an ornament because it appeared to be unused. There was also a restaurant on site but no menu…REALLY?...go figure! The prices quoted were 2500ST 4000 for 2 hours and 5500TLN. Yayow advised el hefe came down to 1500ST.

There are rooms in house or you can take the chica out. Talent rotates so what is poor today might be better tomorrow.

Latin Quartest Discotque

The Latin Quartest Discotque is next to Casa Iraisa but not affiliated. The back door to the disco leads to the Casa Iraisa pool and restaurant. Apparently the chicas from Casa Iraisa are not permitted in the disco. Although we did not go inside it was early and the disco did not appear to have many patrons.

Paco’s Drink-Los Coquitos, Boca Chica

Paco’s Drink reminded me of the Dominican night clubs I visited in Esperanza, Mao, Bonao & Jarabacoa. It had a very Dominican feel and was nothing like Classicos or El Batey. Although I cannot be sure I didn’t get the impression anybody was working because I did not receive any “puta stares.” The music was Merengue, Bachata and Reggeton and although there was no dance floor people were dancing in-between their tables and chairs.

I met an absolutely sexy chica but when I hit her with my Spanish she looked at me and advised me she was from New York and she spoke English…can you say “BOOM!” Anyways she was on vacation visiting her sister and as leaving the following day.:mad:

The spot had quite a few men and couples but there appeared to be very few single ladies when I was there. I enjoyed this spot because it was very “Dominican” by that I mean everybody was tranquilo drinking, smoking hookah, dancing and just over all having a good time. This will probably be the highlight of my Boca Chica stay because it was good to get off Calle Duarte and experience some normalcy just like its good to get off Pedro Clisante in Sosua.http://news.insearchofchicas.org/forum/images/posticons/clap.gif

El Batey- Calle Duarte

El Batey was slow for a Friday night. There was talent but there was nothing to write home about. I saw the same Haitian beauty queens that I saw last trip and a few others that were decent.

I chatted up a chica who was sitting next to me and we hit it off like a match in a California dry forest. I enjoyed talking and spending time with her so I pulled the trigger. We arrived at the hotel and she has no cedula so she had to be dismissed and I was not a very happy camper.:icontd:

I like El Batey because it is a mix between civilians and working girls which adds a different flavor for me and forces me to step up my game because you have to be careful not to make the wrong approach. El Batey is no doubt one of the premier night spots for Boca Chica.

Nice reviews on some of the spots in Boca. I love the Boat House, yayow first took me there a few years back with el toro. Had a great time, lots of expats hanging around, good food, attractive and engaging bartenders. In a way it is to Boca for expats the way Rockies used to be (maybe still?) for expats in Sosua. A good meeting place for shooting the shit and catching up with the local gringo gossip.

Unlike Rockys though, it has a nice breeze off the water which, as you experienced, can allow a guy to wind up staying for several hours wondering where all the time went.

Agua y Sal Restaurante - Calle Duarte

Agua y Sal is next door to the Piano Bar so it makes a great place to eat drink and people watch. They set out tables and chairs after 8pm when the street is closed or you can eat inside the restaurant. I have eaten there several times because I enjoy the food which includes Comida Tipica, sandwhiches, steaks and seafood.

On this occasion I had the ribs which were okay but he most tender ribs I have ever had has been at Rumba's restaurant in Sosua. I thought the portion was small for a whole rack but they hit the spot. One of the best things about this restaurant is the staff which are very professional and attentive.

One problem you have is the beggers and chicas soliciting on Duarte but hey your in Boca Chica.

After I ate I saw the chica who didn't have her cedula that I met at El Batey in the Piano Bar so after chatting and flirting I pulled the trigger since she had her cedula this time. The sex was not mind blowing but it hit the spot so I can cross that one off my list.

El Batey

On this trip I had a chance to explore a little of Boca Chica off the grid. Yayow took me to a Casa Irasai and Paco's Drink in addition I went to the resort Hamaca's club "BC" and walked by another Dominican spot called KOTICE Disco. Of course there is the Piano Bar and the other venues on Calle Duarte but in my opinion El Batey is the premier venue in Boca Chica.

El Batey's appeal is that it is not just a hooker bar, groups of Dominican men hang out as "Drink or Dominican Club" as well as couples. I met some non pros when I was at the Dominican spot Paco's Drink that later I saw in El Batey so the crowd is diverse. I felt comfortable enough in El Batey that if I return with a date I would take her there and of course you can go to hunt.

Avenida 20 de Diciembre Boca Chica

Avenida 20 de Diciembre is around the corner from Duarte and not a far walk from El Batey. This is the street that the all-inclusive resort Be Live Hamaca is on. The below listed venues are on this street also.

KOTICE Night Club

This is primarily a Dominican spot with an in-door and outside section. The outside section has a bar with tables and chairs that face the street and they also have a restaurant. When I went is was very slow with maybe a half dozen couples.

This is the night club for Be Live Hamaca and it is very large inside. There are 2 dancefloors and 2 bars. There are also tables and chairs along with couches. When I went is was almost empty.

The Boat House

The Boat House was where I met Ramiar and Skynard about 2 years ago, I didn't not make it last trip but I decided to return to one of Boca Chica's staple.

So I went with the intention of getting breakfast and returning to my room and what did I do? I stayed for 4 hours I was sooooooooooooooo relaxed with the warm breeze it was really nice. A few beggars harassed m of course because I was on the water's edge but that comes with the territory.

As I sat enjoying the breeze it occurred to me that I was retired. All those years I was working I had no idea what retirement would look like and I can't wait to see what is around the corner...

Congrats on the retirement and happiness it brings you. May all of us be so lucky to have a view like that when we retire, with some ready and willing chicas around to enjoy our time with us.

Hotel Mystic Avenida Pasture, Santo Domingo

Hotel Mystic is a dated property however I like the way it is set up. There is a balcony with chairs so you can watch foot traffic after which you walk in to the front entrance. The receptionist is on your right and there is a sitting area with couches and a TV. This are is great for interviews if you do not want to immediately bring a chica to your room.

As you continue on the first floor there is a bar and restaurant. There are different types of rooms but I got a large room with a small table chairs couch and king size bed. The room was obviously dated but very comfortable. There was a flat screen TV and safe in the wall. My biggest complaint would be there was no refrigerator or mini-bar.

The other complaint I had was there was no thermostat for the air-conditioner it was either on or off. I do not like sleeping with the air-conditioner due to my sinuses so that presented a problem because the room was very uncomfortable without it.

Hotel Mystic Restaurant

Hotel Mystic has a restaurant bar on premises. The menu is not extensive there are less than a dozen items on it like steak chicken fish etc. I had the filet de mero which was good and the papas salteado were fantastic!

The restaurant was furniture was dated and I got the impression that it was not used very often by the hotel clientele but it was good to have something on premises so you do not have to leave unless you desire to do so.

I see in the lower left of your hotel photo that they also exchange dollars. But it appears that they offer a rate closer to those exchanges in the airport. Guess you go to an atm or regular exchange for your cash to get the current rate.

Seems the hotel is charging a pretty good commission.

Tenga Cuidado

I am back home in Puerto Plata and I feel more at home in my small apartment than my big house in the States. I tried a couple Puerto Plata chicas but I am not doing well in that area so back to Sosua.

On my way back from Sosua enroute to Puerto Plata on Carrettra 5 just before you get to Montellano it is common to see cows & horses grazing close to the highway in the early morning hours. This was the first time I almost hit a cow crossing the road. If you travel that route during the early morning hours all I can say is ...

Hotel Platino, Santiago

Right now my best contacts are in Santiago so I decided to drive down for the day. I have stayed at a few of the Santiago major hotels but Platino is my favorite because of it's location and the staff; I absolutely love how they treat me when I arrive. The rooms range from basic $55.00 to $100+ for suites.

I met my chica there and she got out of the taxi with a sexy short set. We talked a while she did a sexy shake a booty dance for me after which we got busy. I enjoyed her she is number 1 right now but who knows how this thing will end.

The Hotel Platino casino is closed but one of my favorite spots is Vitola's Cigar Bar & Restaurant. I don't smoke cigars but the restaurant and wait staff is excellent. I always enjoy the food and you can sit inside or outside. I prefer sitting outside to avoid the cigar smoke.

Upstairs is 22 which I discovered is a "hookah bar." I walked in and every body was sitting around smoking hookah. They play the typical Latin playlist and there is a flats creen playing videos. There is a bar and couches around the periphery of the club there is also an inside and a balcony. For those who smoke hookah and this is a laid back spot.

Las Colinas Mall, Santiago

I have had several Santiago dates at Las Colinas Mall, it is centrally located and everyone knows where it is. There is a food court with several restaurants and a bar if you just like drinks. It is an excellent meet and greet location.

After I left Hotel Platino I met another Santiago prospect there for our second meeting. This chica will be a hard nut to crack because she is not looking for money. She refused my help for transportation, didn't eat lunch both times, just had drinks and we went shopping for her daughter and she didn't look to me to pay for anything. This is a very proud woman and it is good to meet someone different. She refused my invitation for a weekend get away but has agreed to prepare dinner we shall see...

FYI, the serial number for the fake bills are AF3835077. I was in Carib Express in Charamicos for exchange the other day when several bills were given to a chica collecting I guess her novio's gift, next the security glass was almost shattered:eek:.

My first drive to Boca Chica

I hung out with DMV in Sosua and drew a blank with the chicas and I wasn't feeling Puerto Plata either so I decided the next day to take the plunge and drive to Boca Chica taking the new highway outside Nagua. This would be my first drive beyond Santiago and an adventure it was.

Hwy 5 toward Nagua is no Interstate Highway according to US standards the road was smooth in some parts and other parts it felt as if I was driving off road as opposed to a paved highway.

Highway 7 the new highway from Nagua to Santo Domingo

Highway 7 the new highway is a lot easier ride than Hwy 5. Not only was it comfortable but it was scenic

There were 3 tolls on the new highway I believe I paid about 300 pesos for all 3. AMET set up in several spots running radar. In addition there was a couple of rest stops for rest room breaks food and gasoline.

Hotel Hamilton & Restaurant

This trip was impromptu so there were no reservations made. I arrived at Hotel Garant & Suites first because I like the staff but there was no room available. I went to Hotel Hamilton which is further from the strip but a good location because it is across the street from a local colmado.

Hotel Hamilton has a restaurant, mini casino an lobby with a desk top computer. My room was dated but nice with a sitting area and queen size bed. There was a key safe in the wall and an Anwar closet. The air-conditioner had no thermostat and only 1 temperature. The toilet would run water after being flushed also and constantly needed attention.

There was parking and security at night. At night the doors were locked and security had to let you in. If you have a chica she is required to leave her cedula at the front desk.

I get a kick out of calling the Mystic "dated". I think it's only like 10 yrs. old or so. One of the newer buildings in the neighborhood..

Gusto Tropical Bar & Restaurant

I believe I found my wingman for the South Coast, Yayow has been showing me around. Gusto Tropical is the Old Senior Tranquilo beach bar and the Duarte space is now a pizzeria-Itlalian restaurant. The beach bar has waitresses available for 1000pesos salida or you can meet them after they get off work.

D' Paco Drink & El Batey

Yayow and I had dinner at Agua y Sal and ran into a couple of chicas we decided to take out for the night. Our first stop was D' Paco Drink which is a local spot. There was definitely some eye candy available but we were occupied and the spot was entirely too crowded so we decided to change locations.

We decided to go to old faithful El Batey. There was definitely some new talent in the spot it appeared as if there was some influx from Santo Domingo but once again since we were paired off it was a mute issue.

I saw my date from the previous night and after seeing me with my current date she waited for her to go the bathroom after which she walked up to me and told me to erase her pictures...ERRRRRR?:mad: Surely she didn't expect a man who was paying her for sex to be faithful...SURELY???:confused:

My date came back doing a provocative butterfly dance with her thighs and I had enough so we retired. Sex was good and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening.

Don't be so quick to judge!

This trip has taught me not to be too quick to judge. Previously I felt like Boca Chica was the armpit of the Dominican Republic but it has been a pleasant diversion from the North Coast. I felt more relaxed and less stressed. All of the chicas I ran into were laid back and nobody was asking outlandish prices.

I spent some time off the grid which was a pleasant diversion also. For me even Calle Duarte was more laid back and less stressful than Pedro Clisante. I will definitely be back the change did me good.

Trek back to Puerto Plata

I decided to return to Puerto Plata driving through Santiago on my return trip. Highway 3 between Boca Chica and Santo Domingo is an interesting drive. One thing I have to get accustomed to driving in the Dominican Republic is people driving the wrong way. Driving the wrong way is one thing on a city street but a totally different thing on limited access highways where speeds are in excess of 55mph.

Then there is the issue of dysfunctional or no traffic signals at all. Turning traffic across a limited access highway with excessive speeds can be hazardous to your health. Whoever designed the traffic grid in the Dominican Republic must have been drinking Presidentes

One of the biggest challenges driving to Puerto Plata is that Santo Domingo has no highway by-pass so you have to drive through Santo Domingo traffic which can be horrendous, however it wasn't too bad on this occasion since traffic is light on Sundays.

Highway 1 from Santo Dominigo to Santiago is an excellent road for Dominican standards. I enjoyed driving on a 4 lane road with a median. The bypass around Santiago is great with 1 100 peso toll which is worth not having to deal with Santiago traffic. The Navarette Puerto Plata Highway is the last stretch before getting home and the sight of a family riding in the bed of a pick up truck is a reminder of where I am.

The tunnel outside Altimira has become a landmark that I can set y watch by once I have gone through it.

Be ever so humble there is no place like home. It was a great road trip and an even better weekend. When returning to Boca Chica I think I will take the Santiago route as opposed to the Nagua route because the Santiago route saves about an hour even with a stop for gasoline and food.

Pros with a semi pro attitude

As most of us already know a woman is a woman is a woman. While in El Batey I was seen by a chica I was with the night before with another chica so when the chica I was with went to the bathroom the other chica comes over and tells me to erase her photos. Later the following day she sends me the below listed message and tells me to erase her number also.

I didn't capture the entire conversation but the bottom line is when I called her on her jealousy she tried to flip the script and say "no estoy celosa" yeah right then why do you want me to delete your photos? She never answered the question.

To her credit although I paid her she was very GFE and a cool person I could take away from how she treated me that she liked me as she was not hard core at all. She is in a heavy pro game in Boca Chica and if she is going to survive there she is going to have to get out her feelings. I just hope she doesn't become too hard core in the process.

Dominican Currency

This is nothing new for Dominican Republic veterans but there are recent reports of counterfeit Dominican notes especially the 2000 pesos note. I would be reluctant taking a 2000 peso note from anyplace other than Western Union or a bank. I generally ask for smaller bills when changing money.

I flat out will not take a 2,000 RD note

I always ask for 1,000 and 500 RD notes and most places will comply if not I don't exchange with them.

Rumbas, Sosua

I had friends in town so I returned to old faithful Rumbas. On Monday nights it is pretty dead as you can see but a friend of a friend met a looker tall light skinned chica who obviously was a high end chica. So she says she wants $100.00 for 3 hours. I decided to help negotiate she wouldn't take 3000pesos then I offered 3000pesos not satisfied and 4000 if the client was satisfied...you know what this chica said? "cien dolares es 4500pesos" GTFOOHWTBS! The client was only willing to pay 3000pesos so she was dismissed.

The negotiation kinda spoiled my attitude with the arrogance of many chicas in Sosua now but I later found a cousin of a regular who I had been wanting to hit for a while. Good price incredible GFE and well worth the Dulce Sereto cabana run. I was encouraged that there are still some kool chicas in Sosua.

Since approximately April I have been going the process to get legal in the Dominican Republic. I applied through the truncated program that gave me a temporary residency that is good for 2 years. This process allowed me to bi-pass many of the requirements of the normal residency program.

Today I once again witnessed Dominican efficiency at its finest. I had a 1pm appointment and did not get called until 3:30pm. Instead of an ID card I was given a passport page similar to the Visa page that Brazil gives. Now I do not have to pay for a tourist card or for exit fees if I stay over 30 days. I have yet to decide if I will file for the permanent residency.

Be interesting to hear what happens to you the next time you leave and come back again. Today I read on FB of someone complaining that they had the plan de regularizacion sticker but still had to pay a fee when they left the D.R. and went to Haiti. I am not sure though if this was some kind of exit fee/departure tax or the overstay fee.

Sosua Street Rat

I don't know the name of he below listed Sosua street rat but she has been in the game for years. I have seen her almost every time I have been in Sosua and although I never took her before I have heard from 2 other mongers that she is bad news. It is reported she will start with a BBBJ stop then brief sex and demand her money. If not paid she makes a lot of drama.

The aforementioned is second hand information therefore you can try at your own risk.

Classicos, Sosua

Classicos remains the premier mongering spot in Sosua. IMHO Classicos is better during the week Sunday- Thursday than on the weekend when it is entirely too crowded. It is so crowded on the weekends it is a public safety hazard. During the week there is a laid back energy and depending on the chica you have a little more leverage in your negotiating power because there are not as many mongers in town.

During the weekend depending on where you sit you can be charged from 1000 - 3000 pesos before drinks but when I was there on a Tuesday night I sat in VIP seating with no charge.

Kviar Dance Club which is the old Pure in the Costa Dorada complex in Puerto Plata

Kviar is the same venue as the old Pure with a new name. I have been going to Kviar Dance Club frequently since I moved to Puerto Plata it is a pleasant diversion from Sosua and Classicos. The club puts you in the mind of Classicos but it is much smaller with 2 levels and several VIP areas. Security is every where big Dominican dudes wearing black suits walk through the crowd making sure everything is copasetic.

There are several differences between Kviar and Classicos the first being all the women that go are not working. Some are hanging with friends celebrating some type of event and others are with dates. On any given night there might be 5-20 women who are obviously working the club as opposed to Classicos where you might have as many as 100 women in the club all of which are working. The talent level varies especially depending on the night. Some nights it is obvious that the chicas are around the way girls then other nights it is obvious by how the chicas dress and carry them selves that they are high end chicas.

I will continue to investigate but what I have discovered is that Kviar is not a discount location for PFP like Rumbas, I doubt very seriously if any women will leave with you for 1500 pesos. One reason being is security expects a propina from the chicas if they are seen leaving with a client. I have been told the propina starts at 1000 pesos and upward. Second some of the chics are from Santiago and as Uncle Rukus has shared with us Santiago PFP is not cheap. The talent level varies but I have seen some strong 8's in there that will definitely give you something to think about. I would start at 2000 pesos and I wouldn't be surprised if some chicas there will not leave for less than 4000 pesos.

Kviar is less than 5 minutes from my place so I plan to visit quite frequently, another thing I failed to mention is occasionally I have seen Sosua pros on dates or working solo. Some Sosua pros actually live in Puerto Plata so unless they have an aversion to working where they live it actually makes more sense to work at Kviar.

La Roka Cabana, Puerto Plata

La Roka Cabana is on Hwy 5 as you exit Puerto Plata in Confresi. It sits off the road and is gated. I pulled a date from Kviar Dance Club and brought her to the cabana because I did not feel comfortable inviting her to my house. The room was nice with a queen size bed and a small sitting area with a couch. There was a flat screen television and there were 2 condoms in a sealed plastic bag in the bathroom.

The room was as nice if not nicer and only 450 pesos as opposed to 600 pesos at Dulce Secreto in Sosua. I liked the spot and would return.

I follow the Women of the Dominican Republic Facebook page but today while on Facebook I found the below listed photo of actress Rosario Dawson. She is not Dominican but close as her parents are reported to be Cuban and Puerto Rican. Anyways she is worthy of an honorable mention even though she is not Dominican.

La Vega

La Vega is a mid sized city south east of Santiago. I have read La Vega, Puerto Plata & La Romana are the 3rd largest cities in Dominican Republic behind Santo Domingo & Santiago so its exact size depends on the perspective of the writer. La Vega is an agricultural center for the region and famous for its annual carnival in February.

My objective is to see as much of the Dominican Republic as I can and La Vega had been on my radar for quite some time. Shout out to Tgunz who gave me the number of a taxista who agreed to show me around. I had no agenda nor contacts other than the taxista so I was shooting from the hip.

Hotel Rey, La Vega

I tried to book the Hotel Rey during Carnival earlier this year but there was no room available. Upon arriving at the hotel it is not impressive from outside but inside is on point! You are buzzed in and walk up a flight of steps to the receptionist area. The lobby is spacious with comfortable couches there is an internet and coffee station also. There is a restaurant upstairs and a night club connected to the building on the outside.

My room was very comfortable, the air conditioning blasted cold air and there was a flat screen television that I did not watch. My room was basic and small but very comfortable. There was a small refrigerator but no mini bar. The bed was kind of small a full size bed instead of queen size but the mattress was firm and I slept well.

There are WIFI signs posted all over the hotel but I did not use it since I always use my Orange hotspot. There was a spacious closet but no room safe.

I was thoroughly impressed by the monogramed "Hotel Rey is the Best" towels I do not believe I have seen anything like that in the Dominican Republic.

La Vega Car Washes

According to my taxistas La Vega has no casa de citas but there are a few car washes. The car washes in La Vega serve to clean cars but also have bars and some have restaurants; these venues also have chicas that are available and chicas that hang out there occasionally. I visited the below listed car washes and although I saw a couple of honies nothing that made me want to pull the trigger.

Engini Restaurant & Car Wash

Engini is on Calle Don Antonio Guzman across the street from Hotel Rey. There is a pizzeria, separate restaurant and the car wash. There was nothing of interest for me to sample.

La Diosa Disco Sports Bar & Hotel & Car Wash

La Diosa is on Avenida Pedro Rivera. It is a complex that includes a night club, sports bar, restaurant and car wash next door. There was nothing of interest for me to sample.

Plaza Barba Car Wash

Plaza Barba is on Avenida Pedro Rivera it was closed upon my arrival.

La Zona Car Wash

La Zona is on the road that goes to Jarabacoa from La Vega.There was nothing of interest for me to sample.

Serie 47 Car Wash

Serie 47 is on Avenida Pedro Rivera and was the most active of the car washes when I visited. There was karaoke going on and several women out and about I could have pulled the trigger but it was too early in the evening to make a selection.

My trip started on a Friday however the best time to find action in small Dominican towns is on Saturdays and Sundays which may explain the lack of activity at the venues I visited.

I've spent quite a bit of time in La Vega and there really is no Pay for Play. I always chalked it up to small town mores. I know quite a few La Vega chicas that worked in Sosua, Bavaro and La Capital. But in their home town, they would never think of it.

Hotel Rey-Calle Don Antonio Guzman

Hotel Rey has a night club adjacent to the hotel that rocked each night I was in town.


La Diosa - Avenida Pedro Rivera.

La Diosa is in a plaza that contains multiple venues to include a disco, sports bar restaurant hotel and car wash next door.


Doe – Avenida Pedro Rivera & Cacique- Avenida Pedro Rivera

Doe & Cacique are night clubs on Avenida Pedro Rivera that are across the street from one another.


Galaxy Apart Hotel – Autopista Duarte

Galaxy Apart Hotel is a cabana that has a bar and night club on premises. The manager advised he could call chicas in but it is mostly for couples who are using the cabana.

Hotel Rey Restaurant

Hotel Rey has a restaurant however the menu only consist of a few items like chicken and fish with those items ranging around 500pesos. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor balcony section. I found the staff to be very friendly and the food to be decent.

Hotel Rey Restaurant

Hotel Rey has a restaurant however the menu only consist of a few items like chicken and fish with those items ranging around 500pesos. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor balcony section. I found the staff to be very friendly and the food to be decent.

Parada La Tinaja

I enjoyed my stay in La Vega, I only had one chica which was a chica friend of the taxista I used she was mediocre sexually but I enjoyed the experience. Hotel Rey has a beautiful receptionist that I hit on before I left so maybe I will return maybe yes maybe no?

I met a chica on Dominican Cupid and for some reason she passed me to a friend of hers who lives in Santiago, since Santiago is on my way back home I decided to do a meet and greet. I usually do my Santiago meet and greets at Las Colinas Mall but Parada La Tinaja is better because it's located on the highway that connects Santiago to Puerto Plata and saves me a trip I driving in Santiago traffic. If I use Las Colinas I have to manage Santiago traffic but Parada La Tinaja helps me avoid that and there are several cabanas within minutes of the restaurant.

I met my date started cold but ended up really enjoying her. She was a good girl and resisted my attempts to take her to a cabana but we ended our first date on a very positive note after which I headed home.

Rumbas Restaurant, Sosua

Minkyboodle is in town so we agreed to meet at Rumbas for dinner and to chica watch. Rumbas has a decent restaurant not for gourmet food of course but fast stuff like hamburgers wings etc. I love there ribs and barbecue chicken. Below I have listed a photo of out fajaitas.

Isla Del Pariso, Confresi Puerto Plata

I returned to Kviar Dance Club since it is so close to my house and enjoyed it once again. The crowd is different every night although you have some of the same working girls doing their thing. I broke the basic Monger Rule "thou shalt not although a woman to choose you!" I did and I am glad I did. There was a chic with a slamming body but whack face dancing next to me and she started to get real provocative. She was wearing pants that showed her camel toe so I passed the interview and went for the kill. She meets me outside and we go to the cabana.

Isla Del Pariso is one of 3 cabanas that is just outside Puerto Plata as you head toward Santiago. The basic room I chose was very small and it was tight getting my vehicle in the garage, in fact I bumped my door on the wall trying to exit my Ford Escape which is a small Jeepeta. The room was clean with a bed 2 desk and flat screen television on the wall. Compatibly speaking to the other hotels which all were between 400-500 pesos these rooms were the smallest. The condoms, soap and lotion etc. are in the bathroom.

The music is piped there are side mirrors so you can watch your action and the air-conditioning is cold. The room was decent but for the same money I would probably choose one of he other hotels.

I have found Boca Chica to be much more of a relaxing stay as opposed to Santo Domingo where there's so much to do that rest is something for when we get back home and I'm getting too old for that shit. In Santo Domingo I probably spend $30-$40 a day on taxi whereas in BC I can walk or moto just about everywhere and for being only 10 or so miles away, it seems to rain a lot more in the capital. I haven't figured that one out yet.

I agree with your post and would add I have about 10 years in the hobby and I just started hitting Boca Chica about 2 years ago. I would usually ride over from Santo Domingo with a fav and stay a night and go back. I would hang out at Senior Tranquillas and enjoy the evening. I then started going for weekends and over the past year I just go straight to Boca.

I also find Boca relaxing , there are enough good places to eat and drink and I get treated good by the hotels and restaurants I go to. I also have favs come in from Santiago, Higuey as well as the capital who seem to enjoy the scene there. I have never had a problem finding a nice lady at a good price.

I tend to be a WW and the convenience of a 10 minute cab ride to Boca is better than a 40-60 minute cab ride to the Metro Station and a 4 hour bus ride to Sosua. I also pay about 1/2 in airfare to go to Boca than I would Sosua.

"King of Cabanas"...I guess I have been called worse...:lol: My use of cabanas is multi-fold, in Sosua it makes no sense to drive back and forth to Puerto Plata therefore the use of cabanas is prudent. In Puerto Plata my motive is a little different in that I am reluctant to have strangers know where I live especially since it is a middle class nice neighborhood. In addition I am visiting Puerto Plata cabanas because I want to report on them for informational purposes for the board.

I probably use cabanas a minimum of 3 times a week at 500pesos a shot that is 1500pesos a week and 6000pesos a month give or take. Personally I like cabanas because they are like mini apartments and often help create the mood with the piped in music, television for music videos and wall and ceiling mirrors for your viewing pleasure.

If I move to Boca Chica I would definitely want to use cabanas since it is a relatively small community and I would not want random sex partners to know where I live. The problem with a secondary apartment is it would be difficult to create the intimate atmosphere that cabanas can provide without making a significant investment.

Finally I hope to have some steady FWB's people I feel comfortable with and trust that I would have no problem inviting to my house. I am still working on that so the future remains to be seen.

Las Colinas Mall, Santiago

Las Colinas Mall remains one of my primary meeting places in Santiago. I find that Santiago for me is better for semi-non pros. I met a long time Dominican Cupid interest for lunch. PFP chicas are easy and simple but non pros are a different animal. I am enjoying my dates with non-pros but honestly past the second or third date I am often not sure how to proceed because I prefer freedom as opposed to being tied down at least for now. Non pros provide me with a breath of fresh air because I have met a few who haven't asked for a dime.

We talked for a few hours and I sent her off in a cab. I made 2 dates for Santiago the other date was a non pro that I have established a understanding with and we were supposed to meet at Hotel Matum for my evening activities but she changed our meeting time twice so I left. She messaged me and asked me to stay but she has to learn to respect my time. So I returned home but the day wasn't a waste because I got to meet another great civilian chica.

I have found that many Dominicans do not respect other peoples time which is the reason you can ask "a que hora" and get the response "ahorita" or "X time mas o menos" In other words "when I get there." There are things about the Dominican culture I have to get accustomed to but being late is not one of them.

Cabana Villa Flor, Carretera Navarette Puerto Plata, Maimon

I had a Kviar chica call me and tell me she wanted me so I decided to oblige her. I don't feel comfortable with her in my apartment so I decided to check out Cabana Villa Flor outside Maimon. I have seen this cabana on my many trips to Santiago from Puerto Plata and I have been very curious about the inside.

The first room I tried the garage was very small and I could barely exit and I have a mini SUV so my vehicle is not very large. Second the room was extreamly hot and muggy and the air conditioner didn't work so we went to another room. The second room the garage was tight also but the air conditioner worked but it didn't blow out cold air. During my 2 1/2 hour stay the lights and the air-conditioner went off and came back on.

The room was nice with 2 chairs a table and a queen size bed. The condoms and other supplies were in the bathroom. There was a old school box television but I did not watch any television while I was there. The nicest thing about this place is it was only 300 pesos for 3 hours which is half what Dulce Secreto wants in Sosua.

Sex was great with my chica 2 nuts in 2 1/2 hours I had a good time with her.

I believe there is one more cabana on this stretch of highway that I would like to check before I prepare a review of Puerto Plata cabanas.

Sosua Rates


I'd like to share a few thoughts on Sosua pricing:

Sosua rates are all over the map. Low end street rats can be easily had for 1500 pesos. As previously stated 2000 is the new 1500, basically the going rate for ST for an 8 or below will be 2000pesos. When a chic perceives she is above average she will want 2500 -3000 pesos. Chics like Sosua Chicas 7&8 generally can make that and more especially Thursday - Saturday.

There are chics that are doing variations on time but expect the same figure. For example I negotiated for a guy who wanted anal the chic agreed to 4 hours for $100.00. I offered 3000pesos because that's all he wanted to pay and I added a bonus 4000 if he was satisfied, the chic said "cien es 4500 pesos." I will admit this chic was FYNE as hell but I think she stuck to her guns because in her own words "todas las mujeres no son iguales."

Some chics are asking 3000 pesos but will give multiple nuts or agree to stay 2 or 4 hours it just depends on the chic. One thing I will say is they are getting very creative in their pricing. Then there is another group of chics that will automatically go high like $100.00 or 150.00 just to see if you will bite.

In short Sosua has changed and IMHO an option is approaching a chic knowing what you want to pay and not deviating.

The above thoughts are really basically for Pedro Clisante chicas when you get off the strip all bets are off and I am sure you can get better rates as always YMMV.

Hotel Century Plaza, Santiago

I had a date in Pedro Brand north of Santo Domingo so I decided to break up the drive by spending the night in Santiago. Hotel Century Plaza is an excellent 4 star hotel. The bell boy meets you and helps you with your bags and the staff was very accommodating. I got a basic room which had a mini bar, good air conditioning a flat screen television and scolding hot water.

The restaurant / lounge was great! You can eat outside or on the balcony and the food was pretty decent. I had a beautiful waitress but I think she was having a bad day because she wasn't very friendly. On Saturday night they had live entertainment playing Merengue and Bachatta tunes it was a lively atmosphere with a mature crowd dancing and partying.

My date and I had a great time at dinner talking and eating, she is a semi-pro I have been seeing for about a year and that night was some of our best sex. I might make her a full time FWB we shall see.

Pedro Brand

I met a chic on line that lived in Pedro Brand and I was immediately intrigued because it would give an opportunity to see someplace new and experience something different. I left Santiago and headed south on Hwy 1. I saw a pretty bad accident on the way and also learned on the way back it's best not to drive long distances in the Dominican Republic at night. I almost ran into a broken down vehicle blocking a lane with no lights in an unlighted area and I had a horse walk right out in front of me like I was traveling on his road.

I had never heard of Pedro Brand before and subsequently discovered it is a one traffic signal small municipality that is 15 minutes north of Santo Domingo. From what I could see there was literally nothing of note in Pedro Brand just a small dirty Dominican town.

I arrived at her house after flagging a moto down for directions. MPB was very engaging (lots of questions & conversation) but distant at the same time. I sat on one couch and she sat on another couch across from me. Her family lives in a 2 floor apartment her mom & dad lives downstairs and she lives upstairs with her son and sister. So mom who I later discovered was under the weather came up to investigate. She sat at the far end of the couch and I was at the other, MPB conveniently left the room and the interview began, then MPB came back and they double teamed me...:eek:

I think I did well because MPB made me some fresh mango juice and later offered to fix dinner but I was hungry and didn't feel like waiting so I suggested we go out to eat.

Adrian Tropical Restaurant, Santo Domingo

Apparently there are no restaurants of significance in Pedro Brand so we go to Adrian Tropical on the Malecon in Santo Domingo. That DAMN Santo Domingo traffic AINT no joke...:mad: The view, food and the restaurant was great but the staff wasn't the friendliest in the world. This turned out to be a family date since junior had to tag along but I found him to be pretty entertaining because he was a comical little guy.

So we get back to her house and she says I could stay in the extra bedroom but dad who didn't meet wasn't having it. She says she wants to come to Puerto Plata to visit me and I agreed so I try to kiss her and she gives me her cheek..:rofl::rofl::rofl: The entire day she was engaging and distant at the same time.

My impression is that she is definitely wifey material and totally different from Santiago Chica 8. I am glad I spent time with them back to back because they gave me two totally different flavors SC8 was classy and sexy and MPB was simple and humble almost like the difference between the city and the country. Even though I didn't have sex and I enjoyed the experience, I need something different every now and then. I don't think MPB would be a good FWB situation plus Pedro Brand is a little far just trying to maintain a fling so I will chalk it up as another adventure in the Dominican Republic.

This post explains why a chica I was trying to talk to cut me off when she found out I was a LE professional. I can't blame her without her knowing the difference between LE in the Dominican Republic and LE in the United States. In the United States LE is a legitimate profession and there is extensive training and certifications that need to be attained and maintained periodically but I guess it's not quite the same in the Dominican Republic.

It also explains why I have been stopped more times in the 5 months I have been driving in the Dominican Republic than my entire like in the United States. On one hand it's comical when the Policia Nacional are asking you for a birthday gift, or for gasoline money or lunch but on the other hand it can get quite scary. I have identified my self everytime I have been stopped and have went unscathed but I have no idea what the outcome would be if I wasn't a retired LE professional.


From DR1 today:

National District prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso has said that police are involved in nine out of ten crimes in the Dominican Republic.

75% of the Police force make less than RD$11,000 a month. A report in El Dia says that the largest number of agents, the lowest police rank (which total 11,696) make RD$7,000 but deductions are applied. The last wage increase took place in 2014, when wages were increased by RD$883.29, up 14%. A sergeant in the Police makes RD$9,000 and a sergeant major makes RD$11,000. The National Police has an estimated force of 33,000. The chief of the Police officially makes RD$81,785.

The low wages have had major consequences. Entering the Police is seen as a job for people with no other options, or who seek Police impunity in order to engage in criminal activity. Sencations Hotel & Cabana, Puerto Plata

I went back to Kviar and had a good time and met a Sosua regular after which we went to Sencations Hotel & Cabana.

Sencations is on Hwy 5 as you exit Puerto Plata in Confresi. It sits off the road and is gated. When you enter the property you are facing a free standing hotel. I am not sure how many rooms or what the rates are. You go around the building and there is another gate to the cabanas. The cabanas are similar to the others with small garages that are connected to the rooms.

The room was clean and smelt very good as if it had just been cleaned. There was a flat screen television a queen size bed and music was being piped in. The room was comfortable with a small table and chairs and the supplies were in the bathroom. The water was hot but I couldn't get the air-conditioner to work however there was a ceiling fan that made the room feel comfortable.

Sex was decent with my date she did good with her BBBJ. I was quite surprised because I was with her in Sosua last year however I do not remember the exact details of the experience. After we were done you exit the cabana they lift up the gate without checking the room.

One thing I have noticed about Puerto Plata cabanas is they are a lot more laid back than Dulce Secreto in Sosua and a little less expensive. Dulce Secreto basic room is 600 pesos but the Puerto Plata cabanas run for 300-500 pesos for 2-4 hours.

Martha Bar The Malecon, Puerto Plata

There is a large ISOC contingency in Sosua for Labor Day weekend and we are all doing different things. I hung out with Yayow in Puerto Plata and met a friend of a friend. Apparently she is in a relationship and wanted to keep our liason on the low so we went to La Roka cabana did our business and I dropped her off.

I met Yayow for lunch at Martha Bar which is in one of the Malecon casitas. We talked and had a great time as ususal.

I got a 1/4 chicken but they gave me white meat and I prefer dark. They would not exchange since it was already cooked and it tasted pretty decent it wasn't as dry as white meet usually is.

Isn't there a Los Gringos on the beach in Cabarete? I seem to remember seeing a sign advertising the bbq pork churrasco there as well

Bronnffy’s Bar & Lounge

Bronnffy’s Bar & Lounge was “The Spot” under new management. They painted inside but other than that it has the same feel and customer base…almost nada. It made for a nice place to do an interview and vibe with a chica if you felt so inclined. This venue is now closed.

Labor Day Weekend Classicos

Friday & Saturday on Labor Day Weekend wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I expected humongous crowds but it looked like a normal weekend. Since there was a large group in town celebrating a birthday they rented a VIP section in Classicos. There was a guy in the crew who was wearing a mask while dancing on the dance floor and most found him very entertaining.

Friday night had some pretty decent talent. Somebody in the crew was quoted 4000 pesos by one chica after which she was dismissed and he later got a TLN for 3000 pesos. On Friday night I met a chica I had been eyeing for a while we talked and went over to Bar Central next door and had a decent session.

On Saturday it got pretty crowded and although the VIP area was comfortable as far as the crowd was concerned the temperature got very warm the longer I stayed in the club so I left early. While outside in front of Merengue I ran into another chica and took her for a TLN at my place since Dulce Secreto had no rooms available.

Labor Day Classico's Observation

I generally try to stay away from Classicos & Sosua on the weekends, however I found Classicos interesting. I saw some definite 8's and some questionable 9's which I would assume are 3k+ chicas but many of them were solo. There were plenty of clients in town because of the holiday weekend but despite the fact that some of these women were gorgeous they were still solo.

I will extrapolate the obvious, despite the higher than past prices it is still a buyers market, especially for those who are willing to walk away.

An excursion to Mao

A friend of mine had his baby shower in Mao so I decided to share with him in the celebration. I have been to Mao several times so driving there was no problem.

Agua Azul Hotel, Mao

Agua Azul is a hotel-pool and one of the major recreation centers in Mao. It is currently in renovation where they are expanding the hotel and building a night club on the property. It is a 2 star hotel at best and the rooms are quite dated but it's primary attraction is the pool and rooms are relatively in-expensive between 1000-2000 pesos.

My first room was in the construction wing but since I couldn't get cell phone reception there I asked to be moved. My second floor room had decent reception. My room had a flat screen TV dresser desk and queen size bed. There was an air-conditioner however it did not cool the room very well. WIFI was reported to be spotty but it did not effect me because I use my Orange hotspot.

There is no restaurant on property however the pool has a restaurant that serves fast food during the day.

La Picina de Agua Azul

The pool at Agua Azul has an amphitheater for concerts and live music. There is a restaurant that serves fast food also. The pool was full but mostly with kids, there were a couple of cuties but I didn't want to be a creep taking photos so I only got a few shots.

I for one am not looking to pay 4,000 pesos out there. What type of girls are taking rates under 4,000 now? Seems like that is why those girls are alone. Guys refusing to pay them 4,000..

Some of the Weekend Warriors who are accustomed to dropping $200.00US a night in strip clubs without any toto think that 4000 pesos is a bargain and it is by US standards however Classicos is in the Dominican Republic. There are groups of high end chicas who come from Santo Domingo and Santiago solely for the purpose of the big pay day. These women are very attractive 8's and some 9's in my book and carry themselves with a certain panache, they should be easily recognizable. Some are reporting to get 5000 pesos and upward.

There are many girls who are taking 2 -3k it's just a matter of knowing who they are and talking to them. A lot of it has to do with what time of day you approach them as well as the day of the week.

The bottom line is some mongers are paying and some are not I am one who WILL NOT. I have no problem with fair market value toto but sometimes the higher prices come with more STANK attitudes so I will pass.

The Mao getaway

The baby shower was fun with a clown music and good food. There were some cuties present however many were coupled up so they were just eye candy. I had a date with a chic I met on my maiden voyage to Mao but we had a miscommunication so I did not get to see her, perhaps she will make it to Puerto Plata we shall see...

I didn't partake in any of the Mao night life as I had a long day with the drive and the other events of the day. I can definitely see myself returning to Mao since I am becoming more familiar with it. There is also a University in Mao and I am eager to help a young enterprising chica with her tuition.

A different way to monger

Previously my mongering in the Dominican Republic has included direct contact in venues like Rumba's & Classicos in Sosua and Kviar in Puerto Plata. I have also used the internet extensively and have met everything from non, semi and full time pros. I have even met a few chics who were working in bars or restaurants.

Previously another ex-pat who has lived both in Puerto Plata and Sosua has advised me that there is a chica network of chics who will not go to Sosua or openly sell sex but are available. These women are students, unemployed and some are under employed and are open to someone helping them. What I find most interesting about this scenario is that these women will introduce you to friends and the friends with introduce you to their friends. I am still on the learning curve in the Dominican social and cultural scene. In the United States I have dated and smashed many women but would never think of asking a woman I smashed to introduce me to her friend so I could smash her next...

My other monger friend told me about the chica network but through Yayow and his favorita I am seeing how it works up close. It's almost like an LE investigation you get a lead and that lead leads to a witness and that lead leads you to the suspect the whole process is actually very interesting. The Mao getaway

Well I wouldn't consider it exactly the same, although there are similarities. I have been doing it for years, started when I first moved to the capital, and now have got it somewhat down to a science, it is the majority method of my mongering, as I very seldom pick up chicas on Duarte, I just call over a chica and she comes to my spot, and I ask if they have friends who may need a little help, often they do; and so on and so forth. It works for me, cause these chicas aren't hard core, never would see them on Duarte or a Pedro clisante, generally speaking I would be the only one they have such an arrangement with, sometimes they may have another or two. I find it to be very discreet, which I like, their prices are very reasonable, as you set the price, I try to be fair, but don't over pay them, the one drawback is sometimes they want a real relationship with you, you have to be gentle in how you get around that.

I have chicas in Santo domingo, mostly in Andres, San Cristobal, San Pedro de Marcoris and developing in Puerto Plata they I have met through the referral method as I call it. Premium "El Flow" Sosua

First let me say I do not have a dog in this fight as I have only patronized Premium in Sosua a few times, but the below listed complaint from a Facebook site today is something I have read previously...

"I just had the worse experience in Flow or Premium as they call it now , playing games with how the bucket special works and trying to over charge me. They literally were fighting me over 75 pesos and treating me like an asshole after I have been spending tons of money there for the last 3 weeks . A different way to monger

Previously my mongering in the Dominican Republic has included direct contact in venues like Rumba's & Classicos in Sosua and Kviar in Puerto Plata. I have also used the internet extensively and have met everything from non, semi and full time pros. I have even met a few chics who were working in bars or restaurants.

Previously another ex-pat who has lived both in Puerto Plata and Sosua has advised me that there is a chica network of chics who will not go to Sosua or openly sell sex but are available. These women are students, unemployed and some are under employed and are open to someone helping them. Yes, I have been to Cartagena 3 times, Cali twice and Medellin 4 times. My experience was it was more expensive than the Dominican Republic but honestly each time I went I was in tourist mode not in ex-pat mode. I too prefer darker complexioned women but there is a significant Afro Colombian population especially in Cartagena & Cali.

My 2 biggest reasons for choosing the Dominican Republic has been the ethnic connection I feel when I am here and the cost of living. I still have to run the Island before I am ready to move but it is something to think about...

Puerto Plata Chica Networks

From what I can see so far in Puerto Plata there is not one group, there are a plethora of groups. Some are pros who want pro rates 2k and up and others are semi-pros who will take 1-1.5k. It is really fluid and hard to define because some won't talk money and are GFE and others want to know the bottom line and when they are done with you they are done with you just like in Sosua.

Welcome back to Sosua

I have transitioned from going to Sosua 5 or 6 times a week to maybe twice a week or more if I have friends in town. The Puerto Plata chica network is developing so we shall see how it unfolds. One of my referrals was late so after waiting for her for 15 minutes I was off back to Hoe Town.

My return to Sosua was nothing more than exciting! Four CESTUR officers were trying to take a chica in custody in front of Rumba, this chica was about 5'5" 125 pounds but she was wirey and she would not go down without a fight. In typical Sosua fashion everybody ran outside to watch the crowd was off the chain, you would have thought you were watching the Mayweather vs. Berto fight. The officers were clearly not trying to hurt the chica so she was able to break free but she was captured again and Polica Nacional showed up and took her into custody. The was definitely a case where OC spray or a Taser would have been effective.
