Newbie to the america's, plan will be going on a 2 to 3 month trip going into Colombia, Peru then up to southern Mexico, Guatemala and Belize starting in Feb
First month will be in Medellin learning basic Spanish at a school to hopefully improve the rest of the trip, then mostly hostels and backpacking up to the Mayan and Inca ruins over the other countries with stops along the way to enjoy the locals and the odd backpacker with a bit of luck :P
I have spent the last 10 years fucking and site seeing most of South East Asia, so not a total newbie but still very much a virgin on these continents
