I made some cash developing a product for vBulletin so of course I will be sharing it will all of you.
The new feature will allow you to check a box under "Miscellaneous Options" when creating a poll to all a user to Write-In a vote to add it to the poll options. In the same area where you select Multiple Choice and/or Public poll options.
Also if the poll is setup as a Write-In poll a user will be allowed to change their vote to re-vote if they see a better option that someone wrote-in!
See the poll example on this thread.
Enjoy!
It works, I added an option

I did just have to do reboot due to another issue, it's very possible that could have screwed it up, can everyone who has voted clear/change their votes and vote again thanks!

For the person who added "i STILL say it will get confusing"
This feature is for polls like the recent poll: "Who is the kinkiest ISOC member"
Or maybe a poll like "Who is the hottest actress?" or "What female singer would you like to TLN?"
This feature should definitely not be used on every poll!

You might added it or voted right when I rebooted.
I am clearing the poll and starting over, sit tight.

I think it's a great enhancement for the kind of polls DT mentioned before.

For the guy who added:
"Very cool, as long as you can choose if you want to allow it."
Yes this is optional, it is a checkbox under Misc options where you also setup Public and/or Multiple polls.

I added an option that another forum requested. Check out my new write-in option.

I like the change your vote option.
Do you want it on every poll?
