The fifth version of a poll conducted by the Argentinian firm Carlos Fara & Asociados between 16 March and 19 March showed that President Leonel Fernandez remains extremely popular among possible voters. 1,000 people were polled of which 88.8% said they would vote for Fernandez if he were the PLD's candidate in the 2008 elections. Voters were asked: "If elections were held tomorrow who would you vote for?" and voters overwhelmingly picked Fernandez. In 4 previous polls Fernandez had also received the support of at least 87.4% of the polled voters.
