I have some pics of the Europa inside...if you can look past the chicas I was photographing. I'm a 60 yo monger and found the place adequate for my purposes. You never spend much time in the room. I was in room 118 for 7 nights and only saw a roach once...on the last day. Shower is reasonable, but hot water runs out after 9:30 am. Kitchen has small refer which I used and was fine. Never used microwave. Never tried to cook in the unit. Lighting is a little dim, but that may be alright if you bring someone back for the evening. Location is good, but not as good as New Garden. I'm returning in July, but will stay at New Garden...which looks nicer from the outside. I would have no problem returning to Europa either.

I've stayed at the Marriott Resort and Spa at Pattaya and the J.W. Marriott in Bangkok. They are the ultimate upscale accommodations. However, I had no problem adapting to the situation in Sousa. You're there for the women, right? Now let me see if I can upload some room shots.

Note the matching nightstands and lights. The phone doesn't work. The clock on the nightstand is useless, because the power goes off every day for a few seconds. There is an automatic generator which starts up quickly.

The curtains lead to the sliders to the patio. I used the patio once in 7 days while getting my manicure/pedicure. In general no one lounges on their deck or patio...there are better places to relax. The sofa fabric matches the curtains and there is a small coffee table. I saw the pool used once by one guy during my stay. Women can't hang around the pool unless they are accompanied by a guest. Never saw one woman around the pool...and the men don't spend any time there either. The beach is sooo much better...and about a 10 minute walk.

Here's the airconditioner built into the wall. Worked fine and was helpful at times. There is a small desk...which I never used. Floor is tile.

Here's the TV and desk again. You could see the TV from the bed. One channel of porn always running on the tv. Note mirror above desk. How we doing???

The microwave is in the backgound. My viagra is on the left upon the bookcase. The sink and refer are on the left side of the pic, but not showing. There are glasses and some dishes in the cabinet. Viagra does not come with the room. However, if you check under the mat in the room safe, you may just find an unused present.

Probably my last post for the evening: Small table which I never used. Note the useless artwork. Someone with money could redo these rooms and make them a little nicer. But then they'd probably be priced out of the market. pm me for any questions....August will be a little warm, but so is July, September, and October. Just hope we dodge the hurricanes.

Pana and Hempstead:

Which condos or villas do you like? I'd be open to that. However, I absolutely love being close to the action and not having to use a moto. Being able to walk home with the chica is great. Frankly those motos are too risky for an old guy like me. So are there condos/villas within walking distance of Classico's? Thanks...

Never had any issue with that. Ask for rooms 213-218. Very large and clean rooms. I have stayed there 4 times

If you go to Europa and they give you one of the horrible rooms that you just can't stand, will they switch you or refund your money?

they have no problems switching your room. refund of money is a different story...but honestly, guys should not be having too high of expectations in those little hotels in sosua, if u do you really should be staying in a Villa or Condo.

Europa serves the purpose of banging a chica and a decent place to lay your head while your sleeping..no more no less!!!

I had just heard that there were rooms in which nothing worked, including the safe. And there there was a high level of mold and mildew in some.

I would need the safe, and I couldn't live with the mildew.

Would those be considered unreasonable expectations of them?

Take a can of Lysol with you and ask for the rooms I recommended. Also add room 107 to the list of desirable rooms.

the rooms @ the Europa are fine . . the pool was clean . . the hotel is just not conducive to having a Big old I.S.O.C. Party outside your room/poolside . . .

good party inside and a good location . . .

When I stayed there, they showed me the room before I gave over the cash. The power outage only lasts a few seconds and then their generator kicks in. Hot water in high season may be scarce at certain times of the day...ie after 9:30am.

The owner likes to sit at the front desk with his head buried in the computer doing who knows what. Some travelers like to be acknowledged or greeted in a personable manner when they pass by the front desk. This guy ingores everyone for the most part, so he lacks a little P.R. finesse. He should move his computer to a private area where he's out of sight of the guests, if he doesn't want to engage in small talk with his guests. He did give me an enthusiastic/good recommendation for places to eat when I asked him. I have no problem with him. He just lacks some people skills.

I didn't notice any mold/milldew problem, although there was a chronic water leak from my room's ceiling onto the tile floor. Indeed, the tile was discolored so it had been going on for some time. The drip was so small that most of the time it evaporated before falling to the floor. Never noticed a slipery/wet spot on the floor. There does seem to be mildew on the plastic lounge chairs on the patio, so I avoided sitting out there. However, the beach is a 10 minute walk through the interesting little town, and is a much preferable place to spend your spare time.

The bed is made daily by the maid and the towels are changed out. In a place like this, that is essential. Sometimes that didn't happen until 3 pm, which was a little late for my liking.

Europa is easily a notch tor two above Romanoff, but avoid the "other" Europa across the street - its a few dollars cheaper and they may offer you a room there, but it's dark and creepy. Diego may be a hardass, but he's always been really nice to me, has helped me out a few times with info, directions, small problems, etc...they will show you as many rooms as are available for you to pick from...that being said, the New Garden is a notch above Europa and is several blocks closer to "the action". Reseve there and if you have a problem, head to Europa.
