Sosúa's nightlife continues in the Casino

Bars and restaurants have to close at 1am during the week, and at 2am on the weekends. But then you see something remarkable. All the partygoers head to the groups of motoconchos (motorbike taxis) who are ready to take everybody to Sosúa Casino.
The Casino Playa Chiquita looks a bit neglected perhaps, but its always very relaxed and friendly inside. As you enter you can exchange 300 pesos for 350 pesos in chips, so you earn 50 pesos already. Up to 1am your drinks are on the house, but after that they only serve alcohol-free drinks, and these have to be paid for. But this is not a problem. Behind the huge bar you will see a door that leads to the disco, where you can enjoy Dominican music to your heart's delight. Not standard disco beat, but wonderful, original merengue, bachata and reggaeton music! Here in the disco you can also buy a lovely cold beer. The disco stays open until 4am. So we say to all holidaymakers in Sosúa: don't worry about the closing times. You can keep drinking at Casino Plata Chiquita until 4am every day!

The dance floor is very tiny but the hang out area is adequate. Also, not every girl is selling her stuff. There are actually some regular Dominican couples there. You just have to sniff out the putas, not that you can miss them :)

Up to 1am your drinks are on the house, but after that they only serve alcohol-free drinks, and these have to be paid for. When I was there a week ago, they were serving alcohol after 1:00, but like you said, they charged for it. This was at the gaming tables.

I went this past Friday night and they were charging all the guys 100 pesos...of course the guys outside classicos handing out the flyers said it would you get you in free...

Id say at least 50-60% (probably more) of the girls that were still at classicos at closing showed up...

The music and "vibe" was pretty much the same as classicos, but the club's not nearly as nice.

I was also there in March and there was no cover. Drinks were the same as classicos. All the girls who didn't hook up will be there trying to snatch up a guy. Prices were also cheaper but i'm sure that will change once this place really heats up ans the summer rolls around. Not a bad spot... i also hit up the casino on cabarete and its the same thing except they charged 300 pesos to get in. A lot nicer and bigger but a bit far if you don't have a car. once 4am hits they shut it down.

I usually see someone collecting money or searching luggage and try to walk past pretending I dont understand. It works for people who dont speak english in the US so im just returning the favor while im in the DR.

Act confused and not understanding anything they say. Most get frustrated and just give in. Works good with policia too.

They charge 100 pesos at the door of the disco inside of the casino. They give you a ticket which is good toward a drink. Sometimes they doorman let's you in free. There are so many hoes in that place it is rediculous.

if you leave classicos make a left and head towards harrisons jewelry. make a left on Dr Rosen (street where Rockys and New Garden is). follow it to the end youll make a right onto Martinez I believe( same road as LaBologna). Follow it all the way out to the end and make a left youll see the casino off to your far left as your about to turn down the road. Its kinda dark on the road in that area so I definitely advise using a trustworthy moto conche or driving yourself.

Its in a secluded area so be careful.

The prices were cheaper because of the late hour...could of had a nice spinner for $1,000 peso's...next time I will go alone. Go to the bar and get your own drinks, I was ripped off by a waiter charging me $100 peso's for a water. They played dominican music until about 3am and changed to more rap music. Definetly a place to go if you couldn't make up your mind at Classico's.
