I am just curious having heard the palace has internet service available now as well as some of the bars. Can anyone tell me some more information such as are these wireless connections and the speeds they have? Also how many places offer internet service and how much do they charge? I definitely am interested in having internet access while on vacation. Thanks in advance.......

I just got back from the Palace, and it definitely does not have internet.

I used the internet at Rockies, its free if you have your own laptop, and is fast enough, had no problems uploading pics. And he charges small if you use his computers. Plus Rockies has a great breakfast also.

How far away is rockys? Walking distance? Im thinking for several reasons....

I can get work done also while on vacation which would be awesome and I my camcoder/camera so I can upload the pics/movies during my vacations. If I cant upload all the movies. I will run out of media space. My memory cards only hold an hr and a half of video. Pictures is no problem but once i start shooting video it eats the memory up. It would definitely be worth it to me to be able to unload at least once a day and upload each days videos/pics the next day so I can keep shooting video also.

Some peoples idea of walking distance is 10 miles, mine is more like 8 city blocks. So now is this still walking distance?

Rocky is a good 10min walk, or just take a motoconcho for 20 pesos, and be there in a couple of minutes.

Hey I didn't realize you were going to shoot a motion picture :D :D , I thought you were just looking for a decent connection to upload some girly pics :P

Well if possible and the upload speeds arent bad I could actually shoot a few hrs a day of video. If I bring my laptop with dvd burner and a bunch of blanks which is DEFINITELY an option. I will have unlimited video/pic taking options. I love to take pics and film and im not even japanese!
