I was thinking that it'd be cool to have maps for each city. Similar to the one Don Thomas put in his Ana Mirian post. But with ALL the hotspots on it!! It could have hotel, restaurant and mp info. It could be a great tool for all the brothers!! We could update it with all the frequent changes that occur down in the dom. And all the new and obscure places the brothers run across. What d'ya think? Just smokin...and thinkin.

I get crazy ideas when I smoke......and I ALWAYS get crazy ideas!!!

Yeah I love maps. Before you go to a place if you study a map you kind of know where things are, but things are always different than you imagined them.

I recommend the virtual walking tour of Sosua on here somewhere.

That would be fucking awesome! A Map you can print out thats the size of a full page with all the hot spots all marked out and road names and landmarks like stores/shops/banks/massage parlors/bars/discos would totally own.Nothing like this exists ( I know I have been looking for this myself) and it would help countless people with the knowledge people on this board have.We should start off with a basic map of all the roads and have people add all the sites to it we need to visit. I hope this happens as I know it will help me on my next trip!

I think prtyr2 had a map like that of Gazcue, Santo Domingo on his site, dominicanchicas.com, but that site is down. maybe the map is still somewhere.

Check this post for Puerto Plata.

I would do Santiago for everyone except for a problem:

The best online Santiago map is this one: http://www1.tip.nl/~t794614/dr/maps/mapsantiago.htm
The problem is most places are on the outskirts of Santiago and the map doesn't cover them, and the scanning isn't the best. I have a great Santiago map but my scanner isn't the best.

There are several maps of Sosua with "hotspots" like Rocky's, Shark Bar, Europa, Super Super, etc. here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sosuadominicanrepublic . And one or two for Puerto Plata. Look under files, then MAPS. One even has pop-up pics, when you mouse-over a hotspot. They are all easy to read and great to print out. Maybe someone could edit one and add some of the REAL "hotspots"

I need one with a gps attachment so when I am staggering down the street I can pull it up on my Blackberry and have it show me "you are here" then maybe, just maybe I will be able to point myself in the right direction to get home.

Don Tomas,
When are you going to post the map of Santiago you've been working on? The one with all the bars and motorconcho routes..
