I am going to talk to my ex novia's uncle who has a taxi. Frank and I will see if he is interested in making money and working on our terms. He won't be getting 500 salida's from each guy he drives there. Details to follow. If all works out, his number will be posted here and he lives in Sosua.

The so called taxi mafia is a figment of the taxi drivers imagination. Anyone tells me that I have to pay $25 to get to the airport is going to have a problem.

I am going to talk to my guy and see what price he can offer. The public cars were about 200 pesos but with the gas prices going up it might be more now. I will see if he can do it for 500 - 600 pesos. Thats about $20.
His number will be here so he will get calls all week long if its busy. He can do 1 - 7 runs a week bringing in $20 a pop. He can even bring in his taxi buddies as well and take a piece of they action. I have to sit with him.

In Feb, I paid 300 Sosua to Costambar, and 200 Sosua to Hotel Aventura.
I even called Jesus to pick me up from Costambar back to Sosua caus those damn tourist taxis in Costambar want your friggin first born to take you to sosua.

Come on guys I leave for a day and you all are out of control...... Remember there's a thread about a party at BB's and jthomas2000's penthouse on the 8th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why not move it to the ninth instead so that'll be 2 parties in the same weekend. Also he's talking about trying to have a bikini contest of our own with the same prizes as usual. With nine guy it would cost only $RD333 per man.

Yep this retirement stuff it the best! I am going to look around for a longer stay during the winter. Diego is very good to me at the Europa, but want to see what else is out there.

OK. ISOC members who wanted a party on the 8th now want it on the 9th. They agree that it will be opened to all. So there will be a party at Frank's on the 9th. Can be anytime, but 5-9 pm is best. Also looks like one on Oct 18th.

No, I just drink to much, so I have a regular driver that works all day and night for me while I am in town. From the time he picks me up at the airport the day I arrive till the day he drops me off at the airport the day I leave. Much cheaper than using cabs since I travel around a lot.

well wsj, i'm easy (not cheap, but definitely easy). Not having stayed at this condo b 4 i'm not sure how the rest would take to such a pool party.
However we do need to have a pool party those weeks. Any other suggestions? Is anyone staying at the Palace, possibly we could have it there, and if the Palace chicas want to participate, cool, if not they can leave and we'll bring our own.

I believe it is confirmed for the 9th.
BBs on the 8th, this one on the 9th, and possibly another on the 15th.
