Does anyone know whats going on with Hotel Europa since Batrand left?

The Europa was OK mainly, as always, for its location which is perfect. I had to check out 3 rooms before I and the assistant found one where the AC worked, and there was a gap between it and the wall that was a few inches wide, had to block it up with tape. The new owner needs to fix his credit card machine. But maybe he has, I was last there back in October. If it doesn't work you will want enough US cash to pay the bill. I will pay cash there anyway as he uses a really out of line exchange rate to convert the dollars to pesos for the charge process. I have run into a few places that do this. I think the Costalunga is a lot nicer, but not as convenient. Rooms in Europa looked the same as when the former owner was there.
