Clean it up

The Central Electoral Board (JCE) Administrative Chamber has authorized Santo Domingo Mayor Roberto Salcedo to clean up the city by removing political posters and propaganda posted by candidates who have already won their party primaries and are getting an early start at promoting their presidential aspirations. The request was made during a meeting between the JCE and the National District city council (ADN) where both sides were trying to come up with measures aimed at regulating political propaganda in public spaces. Official campaigning for the 16 May 2008 Presidential election begins in February.
