Israeli ambassador Yoav Bar-On says that Israel has awarded 4,000 scholarships to Dominican students, providing training in the fields of agriculture, health and health sciences. The ambassador says that Dominican-Israeli relations are excellent. He urged Dominican businesspeople to seek out their Israeli counterparts in order to increase exports. Bar On says that trade between both nations has increased, but did not provide any official statistics.
