Dominican Vladimir Guerrero won last nights Century 21 Home Run Derby held at San Francisco's AT&T Park. Guerrero became the third Dominican to win the annual All Star Derby. Sammy Sosa was first to wins in 2000 and Miguel Tejada won in 2005. Another Dominican, Albert Pujols once made it all the way to the semi-finals but lost out by one homerun.
Guerrero hit a few towering shots but his longest blast was 503 feet to left center field.
In tonight's 78th mid-season classic 10 Dominicans will be on the field playing at some point and five Dominicans have the honor of being starters. Alex Rodriguez, Vlad Guerrero, Big Papi David Ortiz, Placido Polanco and Jose Reyes will all be starting for the American League.
