Vice President Rafael Alburquerque has helped present 17 Dominican students with special student merit awards. The students, Dominicans who are living in New York, were recognized for having GPA's above a 3.7. Alburquerque said that he was happy to see the Dominican flag on the students telling the whole world that the DR has people who work hard to succeed. During their visit to the DR the children visited museums, historical sites and had time to enjoy the country's beaches.
