The ruling PLD political party has announced that as from today it will be distributing drinking water in 33 barrios of the National District and the province of Santo Domingo that have been affected by a recent drought. Citizens in these neighborhoods have been complaining about water shortages for days now. PLD representatives said that 97 water trucks would be dispatched to implement the project. The Santo Doming Water Authority (CAASD) will be helping in the efforts.
