New place in Sosua

James has opened a new restaurant called Christobel Colon
It is at the site of the old El Boten. It is a mixture of cuisines but
it is heavy in Asian food. I ate there last night and had a great curry.
Since I cook curry about 2 times a week and eat at a Thai place about once a week
I do know good curry.
The food is good and varied and priced as as good as anyone in the town is now.


Also of interest to this board he is closing the restaurant at 11:00 but the bar
will stay open and he added a lounge with sofas. There will be chicas there
from 11:00 on.

So if you are in town stop by the place.
Oh yes it has only been open 3 days today.

I hate to say but he ain't shooting for the local market is he?

That name is bad luck in the DR! And Dominicans are very superstitious people.

PS. If you didn't know why his name is bad luck and why most people will only refer to him as "El Almirante" is because he didn't discover Hispanola, he conquered it and killed 500,000 indigenous people on the island.

PPS. I am sure the food is very good, but again not much research went into naming the place.
