After reading so much on this great board I have decided to finally go to DR. This will be my first time. I tried to go earlier this year but work was a bitch.

I am ready to book my flights ($370). I am looking at mid week Nov. 5th for just 3 days but it will be nonstop fun I hope. BBs seems to be a great place for a beginner but I hope to find some board members when I am there and maybe head to Sousa. I speak very little Spanish but I hope to learn some key phrases by Nov.

For my second trip to the DR (after a week in Sosua in late May), I am going to Blackbeards for four nights, September 17-21. On my last trip, I visited Blackbeards for their Bikini Contest and found the place to be very nice. Since this trip is shorter, I thought I'd cut out the hunt factor and just go to Blackbeards. Watch for my report after I return. I'll try to pass on what I learned along with a few photos.

Want would you say is the average number of guest there at one time ? And ratio of chica's to guest.I never took a count, but I would say there is generally about 8-12 girls at any given time (more during the bikini contest).

There are about 18 rooms, but I rarely see more than a dozen guests hanging out (except during special events).

The guy on the other end said "go back to the website and when your reservation comes through then I will email you back a confirmation." Well that has not happened. He also said that they are pretty busy that week.

If you want BB's chicas but don't have a room try Residence Atlantic one, nice condos around the corner across the street from Solo Mio. You can hang out at BB's bag their chicas and walk around the corner, I did that last time I was there, They only had room for one day, So I stood at the Loase(a dump) then moved to Atlantic one, cheaper too $40 per night.

I said "Fuck it!" canceled the reservation at BB and have a res at New Garden! I called BB and they said they would send me a confirmation but they were pretty well booked. I remember on my first foray into POP I got info about Franks (off of this site) and I used to go and have a ball. Then it was sold and it went to shit. It was the best and most reasonably priced place to go in town. What a shame.
