News from Sosua

Staying at the Europa, Diego has built a large hot tub / wirlpool by the pool area with a full bar. Bar opens at 10pm till 4am and no problem with the police trying to shut him down since it's inside the hotel. The wirlpool is very large , i'd say good for 10 people.Great place to bring your chica after the curfew.

On the topic of the curfew, I was in the shark bar last night talking to Lou and he said the have been easing up on the curfew and leting bars stay open longer. Sure enough last night the curfew was supose to be 1am, I look at my watch in clasicos and it's 1:30. They finally closed at 1:45 am. Hoprfully tonight will be 2:45 am!!!!

Yes the Europa bar was full at 2:30am at the hot tub, Smart move on Diego's part. The hot tub is very big with powerfull jets. On another side not, they started ripping out the benches where all the chicas hang out in front of the Europa. I guess maybee they are replacing them.

The street venders that sell food late at night are no longer permitted on the main strip. They are now located on the side streets. The Europa has a food vender a little down the ways on his sidestreet. I guess they are trying to improve the main strip. The night time moto concho ban would help. I would rather just see Sosua close the main strip at night to pedestrians only and let the moto-concos do their buisness off the main strip.

I past by the old Sosua Palace last night. As I was walking down the gravel road the girl that lives accross the street in that shack appeared and said hello. She's 19 years old now and very hot!!! The new owner of the former Palace gave me a tour. He is doing a complete make over with new everything. The place that was called the velvet glove is now open again under the name Sosua sport with the same bar and slot machines. Went by passions last night and almost walked right by it as they built a wall out front.Nice job on the new bar and pool. Well off to the beach.

The Palace will rise again? Tell the owner not to name it Mustang Ranch or anything similar to that. That area is prime real estate. :eek: :eek:

The Palace hotel definitely is in a good location. Everything is within walking distance and if his prices are cheap and the place gets fixed up nice who knows maybe it can rise from the ashes.

As long as the NG is open I would never return to New The Palace.
They spoiled me with the onsite restaurant.
