Two days at BB's

I just returned from a two day trip at BB's (Sept 1st-2nd) and I was disappointed.

(1) There was not a lot of girls. On Sunday, I don't think that I saw more than 8 girls at anytime, day or night.

(2) Many of the girls seem to be the same one's I saw when I was there at the end of May. Some of the girls have been working there so long (over two years), that they appear to be very bored. Except for a couple of the girls (Annie, Escarlet), they seem to be zombies going through the motions. None of the girls were in the pool, jacuzzi, or volley ball court. They were just sitting around talking to each other.

(3) Their newsletters keep talking about all the money they are putting into the place yet,

(a) the disco wasn't operational due to some mechanical problem.
(b) the generator wasn't working. It gets awfully hot in those rooms without power, especially when you have a girl in there.


I also noticed in the latest newletter that they cancelled a recent bikini contest. I'm not sure if it was due to a lack of girls or what.

My advice to anyone this is considering going there, hold off until they get their act back together.

This is good to know because I have 2 days booked there for Thanksgiving with 2 days in Sosua. I will know whether or not I will be staying there again after this trip. Colombia is in my blood and most of my focus for next year will be there.

I spoke with a couple of guys that just returned and they had a good time. Sundays always are slow and the girls know that so it is a good day to take off. If you know that the odds of making any money why hang out all day. Having stayed many times I can teel you that Sun. Mon and Tues. are the slowest days of the week. The majority of the guys arrive starting on Wed. / Thurs. and leave on Sunday. Its called a "Dirty Weekend". On at least 5 trips I have been there for 7 to 8 days and the pattern never changes. The three days its slow are great (for me) because I know that almost all of the girls are avail. I make my plans ahead of time for the girls that can be locked up for days. They love it because they know in advance they have a "date" and can make plans as to when they take time off.

I have started to go to the DR for a 4 day weekend every month. I fly into Santiago and arrange to have my date(s) meet me for the weekend. It is nice because I know who I want to be with and we are away from all of the "eyes" that follow me a BB's. The GFE is AMAZING and very different. All of the girls are from BB's and so far (knock on wood) I have been with girls that can keep a secret (as far as I know).

The generator thing sucks....unless you stay over the Bar. All of the rooms get electricity from the generator but the rooms over the bar also get AC....

Hello and welcome! I have heard alot of recent reviews both good and not so good. I have corresponded with David McBride (the general manager there,) in the past few weeks, and he says that everything is good there. However, he may just be trying to save the business by telling clients that. If you have been to CR 4 times, you must be a experienced monger. I would suggest just staying in Sosua and have a go at it. There are maps on this board of Sosua with the lay out of the cities and the hot spots, just do a search. Have fun!

I have a trip scheduled for Oct 14th for a few days a BBs. I have been trying to get my reservation in . I placed it on the website a over a month ago and emailed the for a confirmation. I called yesterday and finally got someone that I thought could help. I was wrong. He said that he did not seem my reservation and I needed to go online again and make it through the website....WTF! He also said that they would email me back confirming the reservation. I did that right after I hung up. NOTHING back from them yet.....

I am getting pissed and my date to arrive is approaching.

I do not speak Spanish and BBs seemed to be an awesome place for a beginner. Any suggestions on a back up if this falls through???????

I reserved online and later that day I got a confirmation email back?? Weird that hasn't happened for you...
