Hi stevereds

Can you please be a little more specific? What type of places are you looking for? College campuses? Chica-casas? Places to find freelancers? Places to find non-pros?

Let me know and I can better answer your question.

Thank you.

I arrived in August 1997 with very limited Spanish. I did fine.

A little bit will get you a long way!

and maybe some chica houses too..depends if we don't meet reg. chicas..there is always a back up plan..like chica house..MP's etc..

How are the college campuses?

thanks again Guys..this will help the trip out alot!

My advice to you is learn some flirty phrases like "You look beautiful" or " I like your eyes" Definitely know the numbers like 500 1000 1500 200 and try to learn spanish from the chicas. A lot of them love to teach gringo their language

You need to know how to ask if they would like to join you for a beer or a meal. If you can, 99% of them will say yes.

youll always be able to get by. how much it costs to get by goes down the more spanish you know. the amount of chicas available goes up a lot by how well you can communicate with the majority of them also.

LEARN SOME SPANISH!

I was in a similar situation once. It can be very frustrating for you but there are tools to help you work your way through it. Put your phrases together beforehand and practice using noun, verb, gender and tense variances using a free online translator. There are lessons with tests, pronounciation guides, etc. and you can certainly increase your skills enough to hold basic conversations with practice:

Buy a pocket translator ($20-$100). I have had more fun with these things and Chicas love it. There's some kind of bonding that occurs when you find a reasonably intelligent Chica who is as interested in communicating with you in English as you are in communicating with her in Spanish. I have left more than 1 Radio Shack pocket translator in my travels.

Have fun with it! Every trip will be more enjoyable than the last as your skills grow and believe me when I tell you that the Chicas will find a pocket full of motivation to aid you in this and other endeavors.

Hey stevereds, you're very welcome

"ALL" of your answers are in the Santo Domingo section.

This Santo Domingo section has the "VERY BEST" information of all websites. Other 2nd or 3rd tier sites such as DR1, ISG or WSG does not even come close to I.S.O.C. Its like comparing Jessica Alba to Chuckuindy's ex-wife.

Anyway, please take the time to browse these threads. I hope you find them helpful. If you have any questions, please feel free and let me know.

Over 75 chicas with nude pictures, phone numbers, and cost
Remember to go to the chica-casa's without a cab driver or tour guide.

If the casa's cost too much. Then get the chica's number and meet her on a day that she is free. That way, the two of you can avoid the house fee.

A list of chica-casa’s and directions to each one. Remember to go alone. If it is too far away then do this.

For example, you want to go to The Girl's House. Then just tell the cab driver to drop you off at the Intercontinental Hotel. Then just walk over there which will take you less than a minute.

You're very welcome!!!

At El Conde or any casino's along the Malecon, you might bump into a tour guide name "Mike" ("Mikey" or "Michael"). "Mike" is around 5'4", fat, and has very short curly hair.

He usually wears a sports jersey or short-sleeve shirt.

He hangs out with his girlfriend who is around 5'3", dark-skinned and long Black hair. His wife is at home with a 2-year-old daughter. lol

He is fluent in English. But a trouble-maker. Avoid him.

1) Rent a room online at Hotel Mercure (cheap rate includes breakfast)

2) Sit out front out on the patio at Mercure around 6 pm when the "regular" girls are walking home on Conde.....you can have your choice.

3) Say "Que elegante" to the ones you make eye contact with (means "You are elegant") It is viewed a s a high complement ....offer to share a drink....."Tienes tiempo para un Presidente?" (Have time for a Presidente) "Quieres ir al cine?" (Would you like to go to dinner?)

4) Meson de Luis is outside the front door from the hotel (inexpensive dinner) Meson de Bari is down the street to your left (Nice place, $50 for 2 including drinks and tip)

The CAMBIO next door to Luis was real fair with me last time. The CAMBIO in the hair cuttery across from the patio at Mercure is run by a Dominican fox....she pays one peso less but is great to look at... could be a score.

If you can't hit with this formula, you ain't DR material....the translator is a must if you are not talking the lingo, the DR women are the best (these ain't "merican mutts), just smell clean, be nice and not too pushy...you'll find yourself knee deep in DR pu--y!

p.s. DONT PAY MORE THAN $1500DRP...or $45 for TLN....there's no reason to! (and NO, I don't count what I spend on dinner as part of that)

Buenas suerte gringo! (Good luck gringo)

what places in SD do you recommend?

All you need in SD is a cellphone, some balls to walk up to chicas, and to visit El Conde... Everything else works itself out :-)

Quite a few chicas speak some broken english...

Even if you Spanish is suspect, I think the effort goes a long way, and since everyone in DR has a cell, get that number, and either call them yourself later, or have someone else do it... Just tell them to come over...just say your hotel name...if they are down they will, if not, they wont...
