President of the National Private Clinic Association (ANDECLIP) Rafael Mena has announced that beginning next week the clinics affiliated with ANDECLIP will no longer accept SFS plans for their services. Mena, speaking on behalf of 237 private clinics, said that if the clinics accepted what the health risk administrators (ARS) are offering to pay for their services, they would go out of business.
Public Health Minister Bautista Rojas Gomez is optimistic this one and other snags will be worked out and the plan will accomplish its objective of providing health coverage to residents in the Dominican Republic. He said that the government would make all the necessary adjustments to make the new nationwide health plan (SFS) work.
