Santo Domingo Update

I decided to go out and check out a couple of new places last night, specifically the old Elegant Center and Cisne massage parlors, behind the Intercontinental hotel.
There two centers used to have some very nice looking talent, with decent prices for massages.
Elegant Center is now called The Sky Club. They no longer offer on site massage, instead, now you take the girls out with you.
What is odd is that I was met at the door by the girl who owned Elegant Center, but she says she's not the owner anymore, and it is now run by a woman(more on that later)
I arrived around 11:30 at night, and was the only guy there. There were 6-7 girls there, none of which I found attractive. Then I asked prices.
They are asking 2500 pesos for three hours, and the clock starts when you leave. So if you're taking a girl to the cabanas out at the end of the malecon, you lose about 20 minutes right there. Definitely not worth the bother. That, plus none of the girls acted like they were even interested in talking to me. Two of them were walking around with plates of food that they were eating. I don't think they would have given me the time of day, had I asked.
Since I have known the previous owner of Elegant Center for quite a few years, I sat down with her for a few minutes to give her my impressions, and explained to her what the competition is doing on the North Coast, and could she understand why everyone is going to the North Coast instead of Santo Domingo? A blank look is all I got.
Then I walked over to the old Cisne massage place, which is now called "Girls Cafe Club" or something like that. I walk in, 4-5 girls sitting around. Nobody gets up. What the F**k is this? I sit at the bar, and there is a woman talking on the phone. She ignores me. After about a minute, I make a sign like I want to drink a beer. She does her "Don't bother me" look, and does the palm facing me sign to wait a minute, like a policeman would do when he's directing traffic and wants you to stop. Unreal.
Finally, a bartender appears after another couple of minutes, and gives me a beer. A girl walks up and sits next to me, so I started talking to her. The woman behind the bar on the phone is the owner! Not only that, but she also is the owner of the Sky Club I was just in, and also is owner of "La Parada" a little farther up the road. Now things are starting to come together.
The girl talking to me tells me she thinks the woman is somehow involved with drug money, and they are using the three bars for laundering money. That would sure explain the disinterested attitudes I got in both places.
I asked her how much to go out, and she didn't know, I had to ask the woman on the phone. When I did, she acted like I was bothering her, and said, 2500 pesos for two and a half hours. I looked at her like she was nuts, and she went back to talking on the phone. That was it.
I bought the girl a beer for the info, paid my bill, and left. I wouldn't give any of the girls there a second look, they are that uninspiring.
I have also been to La Parada three times in the last two weeks. The first time I took two friends, and both of them got fairly decent girls. As soon as we walked in, we were surrounded by a wall of females that wanted to get selected. I was pleasantly surprised to see 5-6 girls that I would take out in a heartbeat. There was maybe 20 girls there in all.
I went back with another friend a few days ago, and neither of the girls from my first visit were there. Most of the better looking girls were gone too. I counted 7 girls, and none of them got up when I walked in, so I had to try to count them in the darkness while they sat and gossiped away. In the time it took me to drink a beer, none of them got up to move around, nothing. Two american guys walked in while I was at the bar. They sat down, waited about 5 minutes without getting served, no girls walked up to them, so they left. I couldn't believe it.
I have to believe that this lousy service has got something to do with the dumb broad that is the owner of all three businesses. (I confirmed that again with a girl in La Parada.) I tend to think that what the girl said about her laundering money is true. I do know that I am not going to waste my time or anybody else's going to any of the three bars, at least not for a few weeks, then I may go back just to see if they've changed.
One other place I checked out. Anastasia Club. A strip bar supposedly with Russian girls.
The first time I went, there were 5-6 russian looking girls. They start a strip show around 12 at night, and the girls would do private lap dances upstairs, for 20 dollars a song.
I asked one of the girls how much it was for take out. She got mad, said she wasn't a whore, and got up and walked away. The waiter confirmed that the girls don't do take out.
The guy with me had a girl, and wanted a lapdance for the two of them. The dancer said no problem, but that it would then be 40 dollars a dance!
Obviously, they passed.
I went again last week, 12 midnight, and there were 3 girls, all latin looking. Prices are still the same. No one was dancing.
I went to Jazzy's too. They had 12 girls, 5 were definitely foxes. A lap dance is 800 pesos(25 bucks), and the take out is 5000 pesos after 12. WTF!! Am I in Las Vegas or something? Where do they get these prices?
It's amazing, none of these places understand what their attitudes are doing to business. And they simply are not interested when I tell them what the scene is like on the north coast.
So, for any of you guys thinking about doing Santo Domingo, I would seriously consider changing to the North Coast. The scams by the taxi drivers, coupled with the "give a shit" attitude of these bars, is just not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the update. I've never been to any of the places you mentioned. But, I always have a great time on the south, north and east costs. When in SDQ, my trip often gets jumpstarted right in the airport. On many occasions I've pulled babes that work at the airport or are there to meet someone. If I make it out of the airport without a chica, I usually hit spots around town and get numbers during the day so that by night I'm usually bunned-up with a honey. Between the malls, hotels, clubs, bars, gyms, restuarants, parks, malecon, beach, and referral of friends, etc., its always been a great time. :D

I would have to agree on that el papi and PSriches. I got my start down south the girls are hot as hell but you do have to come with more game. The only problem now is bring girls to your room there now. No nice hotel will let you bring the girls back and I am not down for sleeping in a shit whole on vacation.

Although, I love the city (Santo Domingo) and believe that Boca Chica beach is more beautiful, more fun, and more practical (sorry, I don't windsurf :roll:) than Sosua/Cabarete, the lodging accomodations (villas/condos) on the North Coast are better, reasonably priced, and offer much more privacy than anything that I've been able to find in Boca Chica or Santo Domingo.

If I could find a $100 villa or a $50 condo in Santo Domingo similar to those in Sosua/Cabarete, I would never leave the South Coast!

I've been to Santo Domingo 6 times in the past year and Calle el Conde is a great place to pick up semi-pros at all hours of the day too.
The price is never more than 1000RD.They are very happy with that.
The hotels to stay at right there are The Palacio and The Penabla.Both are good hotels and they don't charge any extra if you bring the girls in short time.The price for both is about $60.00.You get a discount if you say you're on business and at the Palacio there is an extra discount for paying in cash.The girls need a cedular.
Other good locations for picking up girls is Independencia from Maxima Gomez all the way down to the Conde.The alsa gas station on the Malecon and the Malecon itself from The Napolitano Hotel down toward the cabanas.
The best cabana on the Malecon is Honeymoon Cabanas.
You guys have to remember that they closed down alot of the massage parlors so many of these girls are freelancing now.

The Jaragua Hotel have a lot of nice freelancers. But if you take a frelancer to your hotel, make sure you put your belongings in a safe. This goes out to all I.S.O.C. members.

Mike your experience is the closest to what me and my buddies have experienced as far as putas in SDQ. We've stayed at plenty of hotels that were chica friendly for about that same price. As far as chica prices 1,000 pesos sounds about right, but there was free puzzy to be had as well.

For instance, I stayed at Napolitano once and met 3 chicas from another city that were vacationing and staying in another room on my floor. I wound up fucking 2 of the chicas on different nights and only gave one chica about $500 pesos to get something to eat and catch a bus back home.

There are spots where you can just chill and all kinds of putas and semis will approach you on the street. I'm not sure why some people get qouted rediculous prices, but that has not been my experience. There are so many chicas in SDQ and a lot of puzzy to be had, but I've never been to the places mentioned earlier so I don't know about those places. True the places to stay are not as lavish in SDQ as in POP, but you can get decent chica friendly spots for a reasonable price if you know where to go. :D

I like the Palacio for its ambience. Very romantic at a decent price.

Also, if i'm staying for a day or two, i like the Mecure hotel. It's located right on the conde. They have a $50 internet rate +tax with a $6 chica fee that can be negotiated. I usually just put the chicas name on the record. They also have free breakfast for both of you.

One girl at the Jaragua wanted 1500 pesos for three hours. So we went back to my hotel. I gave her a 500 peso tip because she did a fantastic job.

She is the same girl that I posted here some time ago. I forgot her name and I do not have her cell. She has long hair past her shoulders and she is dark-skinned and is around 5'6" or 5'7" tall and slim. She speaks zero English.

The name of the place is Hotel Riazor, and it's on Ave. Independencia, right behind the Jaragua.
This place is totally girl friendly, with no extra charges. Cold A/C, lots of hot water, Carpeting, very clean, and free breakfast everyday. There are quite a few rooms with balconies where you can sit and smoke a stogie while your sweetheart is vacuming your pipe! It doesn't get any better than that.
Rooms are anywhere from 55-80 bucks a night, depending on your negotiating skills.

He said Sutra is the least expensive. I didn't try either one of them as I stick with non-pros when in SD. There are so many of them everywhere, I don't see the reason to go to a club (but Spanish helps a lot there).

I also went to the Casino in the Jaragua last week (Friday night). The place was packed with girls. Every color, every shape... I didn't talk to any of them, so I have no idea about prices.

Went to Vice last night. Mellow night. Only 2 or 3 chicas and none were great but the beer was cold and they tried hard to make me comfortable, taking music requests etc. I'll have to check em out on the weekend.

Haven't been to executive in a long time, I wonder if D Blanca and la Sama are still open? May need to do a trip to that side of the bridge one of these days!

I guess someone does need to update a map with all these places, but the truth is, most of them aren't worth going to, IMHO.
Monaco is definitely hit or miss.
Juniors, I've found a couple of really nice girls there, but they NEVER last more or a day or two before they're off to one of the better places.
I think D'Blanca is gone, Sama, no idea.

The list just seems to be getting longer and longer and longer. I would say most members on the board who will visit Santo Domingo will be without a car, a driver with a car, or a pocketfull of taxi money. What are the names and locations of places that are walking distance from Zona colonial?

As far as bars that are walking distance from the Zona Colonial, none are what I would call "walking distance" unless you really like to walk.
Closest to the Colonial Zone is Sky Club, Girl House, and Lapsus and Taboo are a little bit farther.
Everything else is taxi material..

Thanks! So if you are without wheels the places listed are of no value unless you are willing to pay taxi money. It could get quite expensive taking a taxi from one place to another. My first SDO trip is coming up and I think I will stick with El Conde and the Malecon. Do you agree?

Herb, if you stay around El Conde it depends on your Game. If you speak Spanish it is a huge plus. I had sooo many plans for SD this time and wanted to visit all the clubs. But as soon as I got out of the hotel (Palacio), I ran into a beautiful girl. There are so many good looking girls walking around all day long, it's unbelievable. So I ended up having plenty of plans for the night without visiting the clubs. But again, you have to speak Spanish, if not, there are still pros around at El Conde that you can take to the hotel.

There are a bunch of good dance clubs and bars in the Zona Colonial, but no working girls in there. But if you speak Spanish you can still score there, it's just a bit more work.

When in SD, call Guary: 809-780-5000, this girl has the most awesome body. I paid 1,500 for TLN, but I threw her out after a few hours as she got on my nerves. But just because of her boobs she is worth it.

It's a deal. Reminds me of the warm welcome I received on the North Coast from ErikS. Just show me around, I have taxis, beer, and lunch covered. I really want to get the feel of SDO and the South Coast. Only one South Coast trip so far but I really like the atmosphere. Ok. . . .I was sitting outside last week, at a hotel in front of Mona Lisa and heard a loud pounding noise. Little by little cinderblocks were being knocked out of a wall in the garage. They were making a door!

There is now a door leading directly into the old Mona Lisa bar. They have dragged all the tables outside and cleaned em all up. They have made a wooden cover for the "planta" that is also in the garage.

Rumor has it the "cafeteria" will open "real soon". One rumor said TODAY. I will keep checking and if they do indeed open before I head up to STI/Sosua for the weekend I will definitely stop in for a beer.

My cab driver (his name is Toni) lives with four of the strippers who work at Monaco. The girls look so-so. Nothing special. The girls did not have cellular phones.

Is Mona Lisa Spa and Hotel still open?

I would avoid Elegante (It is now called Sky Blue). They only have around 5 girls working at night and the girls just sit on the sofas and check their cellular phones and eat food.

One girl who works at Elegante is Karen. She speaks a little English. She is from Santiago. But she seems to have a bit of an attitude. So I left.

Yes, it is fabia. She was sick when the sweeps happened. She is convinced that if she were around, they would not have shut her down.

She had a brother open a place on avenida espana, which closed down rapidly as they had no customers.

I think fabia is calling this a "cafeteria" because they were told no chicas and no alcohol. Her hotel has still been running as usual.
