Santo Domingo - WTF!! Are these guys NUTS???

A few days ago, I did a write up on some of the more well known clubs in Santo Domingo.
Having written a fairly scathing review of some of these clubs, I decided to go back and take another look, simply because after all, these are places that I have enjoyed immensly over the years, and it is depressing to see what's happend to them.
So, in an effort to be fair, out I went again last night to see if I was too harsh.
You know what? Go back and read my other review. If anything, I was probably too nice in my assessment.
But, here's the kicker.
A new club had it's opening last night. Club Mystik 13 is another futile attempt at injecting some new life into the monger scene in Santo Domingo.
Club Mystik 13 is located next door to the old Cisne Massage parlor and the old Elegant Center on Calle Pasteur, which is just behind the Intercontinental Hotel on the Malecon.
Basically, it has the same setup as the other places, with one noticible difference, they were playing Techno music. No, let me take that back, they were BLASTING techno music! Music so loud, you couldn't talk to yourself.
I was pretty impressed when I walked in, loud music aside. A guy named Daniel Orozco has dumped a lot of money into this place, trying to make it the first whorehouse discotec. In it's defense it does have a nice layout.
I saunter up to the bar, and sit next to a big morena with small tits, fat ass , who screams into my ear that her name is Chocolate, then goes back to sitting there, doing nothing.
I almost got up and left, because the music was fucking rattling my brain(and I like discos!) but then decided to let my eyes get a little better adjusted to the light and check it out a little better.
It was then that it dawned on me that Chocolate and I were the only ones there, with the exception of 5 waiters, and two bartenders.
I order a beer for me, and one for Chocolate. She says she doesn't drink beer, so can she have something else? Sure!
We get our drinks, and try to scream to each other about opening night.
I ask her how many girls are working there. She says over 20. I look around again, and damned if I see one more, let alone over 20.
When I point this out to her, she says with a smile and a nod, "because it is still too early". Too early, at 1:30 in the morning. She says they'll be there later.. Right!
So I get down to business. How much to go out. She says she's very good, and the price for take out is 5000 pesos For 3 HOURS! I tell her she's nuts. She says that's the price.
I ask her if she likes girls too, and she says, "of course", but if she goes with girls it is more expenesive.
So, obviously, the next question is, if I want her to go with me and another girl, how much will it be? A little more, 6500 pesos! (Can you hear the Bling, Bling in her head?).
Then she says, the other girl can only watch, or if I prefer, I can watch the two girls together, but we can't do the threesome.. Nope, no way for that price. If you want a true threesome, that's gonna be 7500 pesos. I wanna marry this girl, she's gonna make me rich! I almost fell off my chair!
Since I had earlier had a beer in each of the three bars owned by the drug laundering woman, I made a hugh error in judgement. I actually thought I would have some sort of success explaining to her how SD is dying because people can go to someplace like Franks in PP and get two hotties for all night for less than halfof that.
I told her how you can go to Sosua and get pretty hot girls, (better looking than her
by a long shot, I thought) for even less.
First, she says, there's no way the girls on the North coast are prettier than the girls in Santo Domingo. That's why it's more expensive in Santo Domingo. And no girl is going to spend the night for 2000 pesos in Santo Domingo. OK.
She takes a drink of her drink, A shot of vodka, and almost finishes it off in one gulp.
Out of nowhere, I reached over to grab it and take a taste. Don't really know why, but as I reach for the glass, she pulls it away. Uh oh. Thats a first.
At that point, I snapped back into reality, and realized the futility of my efforts. Plus, it was almost 2 in the morning, and still no more girls.
I ask for the check, and then comes the slammer. 650 pesos for a beer and a shot of vodka, straight up! Yup, definitely time to get outta Dodge.
I pay the bill, and Chocolate asks me to give her something for her time, I give her 50 pesos, she asks for 200. This girl has class, let me tell ya.
As I'm getting up to leave, she takes another hit off her vodka, sets the glass down, gets up and walks away, leaving a couple of tablespoons in the bottom of the glass. At those prices, I ain't letting it go down the drain, so I reach over and throw down the rest.
Surprise of surprises, if that was vodka, I'm Brad Pitt. I'm not sure what is was, but I would guess it was about 80% water, and 20% vodka. You would think for those prices, they would at least give you the real thing.
So there you have it. Yet another dump that's been set up to separate us from our money. Actually, three dumps in a row. Don't bother wasting your breath in any one of em'

I was also quoted prices of 5000 to 7000 for the whole night. From midnight to 9am!!!

Last week, I went to Elegante. There is a girl who speaks pretty good English. She has hair up to her shoulders. She says she is from Santiago. She is light-skinned and around 5'3" tall.

I told her that my friends in Sosua can get a girl for the whole night for less than 2,000. She then laughs in front of my face and gives me this "Fuck you Chino" look.

She then tells me not to compare the girls in Sosua to the girls in Santo Domingo.

Casa Modelo, Casa Teressa, Casa Azul, all quoted me 5,000 or more.

So I had no choice but to find freelancers at restaurants, internet cafes, shopping malls, and the Jaragua Casino. And because of my not knowing any Spanish, it was tough.

Santo Domingo is starting to get very annoying. So in my next trip, I will head north to Sosua. Wait for me guys!!! :D

I went to Casa Modelo last week as well. I was quoted 5,000 pesos for the whole night. And the girl needs to return before 10am.

I said 3,000 is my best and he said no. I told him that he gave me better deals in the past and he said that he does not remember. WTF?!?!? I was there just a month ago!!! :x

So I had no choice but to find freelancers at restaurants, internet cafes, shopping malls, and the Jaragua Casino. And because of my not knowing any Spanish, it was tough.

Santo Domingo is starting to get very annoying. So in my next trip, I will head north to Sosua. Wait for me guys!!! :D

I was pretty impressed when I walked in, loud music aside. A guy named Daniel Orozco has dumped a lot of money into this place, trying to make it the first whorehouse discotec. In it's defense it does have a nice layout.
I saunter up to the bar, and sit next to a big morena with small tits, fat ass , who screams into my ear that her name is Chocolate, then goes back to sitting there, doing nothing.
I almost got up and left, because the music was fucking rattling my brain(and I like discos!) but then decided to let my eyes get a little better adjusted to the light and check it out a little better.
It was then that it dawned on me that Chocolate and I were the only ones there, with the exception of 5 waiters, and two bartenders.
I order a beer for me, and one for Chocolate. She says she doesn't drink beer, so can she have something else? Sure!
We get our drinks, and try to scream to each other about opening night.
I ask her how many girls are working there. She says over 20. I look around again, and damned if I see one more, let alone over 20.
When I point this out to her, she says with a smile and a nod, "because it is still too early". Too early, at 1:30 in the morning. She says they'll be there later.. Right!
So I get down to business. How much to go out. She says she's very good, and the price for take out is 5000 pesos For 3 HOURS! I tell her she's nuts. She says that's the price.
I ask her if she likes girls too, and she says, "of course", but if she goes with girls it is more expenesive.
So, obviously, the next question is, if I want her to go with me and another girl, how much will it be? A little more, 6500 pesos! (Can you hear the Bling, Bling in her head?).
Then she says, the other girl can only watch, or if I prefer, I can watch the two girls together, but we can't do the threesome.. Nope, no way for that price. If you want a true threesome, that's gonna be 7500 pesos. I wanna marry this girl, she's gonna make me rich! I almost fell off my chair!
Since I had earlier had a beer in each of the three bars owned by the drug laundering woman, I made a hugh error in judgement. I actually thought I would have some sort of success explaining to her how SD is dying because people can go to someplace like Franks in PP and get two hotties for all night for less than halfof that.
I told her how you can go to Sosua and get pretty hot girls, (better looking than her
by a long shot, I thought) for even less.
First, she says, there's no way the girls on the North coast are prettier than the girls in Santo Domingo. That's why it's more expensive in Santo Domingo. And no girl is going to spend the night for 2000 pesos in Santo Domingo. OK.
She takes a drink of her drink, A shot of vodka, and almost finishes it off in one gulp.
Out of nowhere, I reached over to grab it and take a taste. Don't really know why, but as I reach for the glass, she pulls it away. Uh oh. Thats a first.
At that point, I snapped back into reality, and realized the futility of my efforts. Plus, it was almost 2 in the morning, and still no more girls.
I ask for the check, and then comes the slammer. 650 pesos for a beer and a shot of vodka, straight up! Yup, definitely time to get outta Dodge.
I pay the bill, and Chocolate asks me to give her something for her time, I give her 50 pesos, she asks for 200. This girl has class, let me tell ya.
As I'm getting up to leave, she takes another hit off her vodka, sets the glass down, gets up and walks away, leaving a couple of tablespoons in the bottom of the glass. At those prices, I ain't letting it go down the drain, so I reach over and throw down the rest.
Surprise of surprises, if that was vodka, I'm Brad Pitt. I'm not sure what is was, but I would guess it was about 80% water, and 20% vodka. You would think for those prices, they would at least give you the real thing.
So there you have it. Yet another dump that's been set up to separate us from our money. Actually, three dumps in a row. Don't bother wasting your breath in any one of em'

There are a lot of hot girls at the clubs such as G Spot and other clubs, restaurants, internet cafes, and especially the Acropolis Mall. The Acropolis Mall has hot girls!!! 8O

You couldn't have gone back to Cisne last week, it's been closed for months, along with Elegant Center, Mona Lisa, and the other massage places. Hell, even the Geisha House is closed, and that was owned by a Military.

For an all-nighter, I got quotes of 5,000 pesos (from midnight until 10am) from Casa Modelo, Casa Azul, and Casa Teressa.

Maybe someone who visited Santo Domingo recently has any new info to share with us?

Nope no names messed up. . .both cisne and elegante were open back in february and the TLN price I was quoted at cisne was indeed 2500. Cisne has since closed down again and reopened under new management under a different name. . .garden house. . ..I took chino there last week and he too was quoted 2500 pesos. I introduced him to the owner so he wouldn't get ripped off if he went back later.

Geisha was run by a woman that used to work at cisne. She passed away reportedly from HIV. Last I heard one of her relatives was running the place.

Mystic has closed as they had no clue what they were doing etc.

Dobob was closed last week as well.

Give Shylo bar a try. Not a large selection but usually at least 1 or 2 cute ones and it is a quiet place etc.

La Parada was also closed down. . . . .

Even thought prtyr2 and I have had our "disagreements" about where is what and what is what. For example the Hippo road in Santiago to Camp David which he missread, I meant the perpendicular road to the upward climb to CD, he thought I meant THE upward road to CD, which was indeed paved by CD and a few other things like hot spots in Santiago.

BUT He clearly has the pulse of the nation, probably as much as I know the pulse of Santiago, afterall Santiago is my town! :wink:

I don't know how old he is but I know he has game and speaks perfect Spanish and probably a couple dialects including Dominican Spanish. Age isn't so much an issue when you can talk to the girls and are known around town. You would be surprised how much the initial price will drop just by saying "Ta-Toe?" (not the correct spelling but phonetically it's correct) instead of a very common greeting. Throw in a "Que Vaina!" when they start high and it will drop again...

Personally I even use a Cibao accent with my mediocure Spanish when applicable, even when outside of Santiago.

It's all about establishing yourself as a regular to the DR from the begining.

I've been around the block more than a few times in the DR. My spanish is pretty decent but FAR from perfect. I am not huge on the dialects but will try and lose my "dominican accent" when in guadalajara mexico in a few weeks.

I am 43, so older than most here, but not in herbf territory;-)

In addition to que vaina, if the price is high I laugh and say "estas sonando". Or you are dreaming. . . .

As for camp david. . . lol. . .I cut through the bomba and there is only one short stretch that is unpaved. Last trip there the dumb ass taxi driver insisted he knew how to get there. We spent a LONG time on some crappy dirt road with him all the time asking directions. We had 2 rather large women in the backseat with 2 teenage girls, and myself and the novia up front with the driver. She wasn't my novia at the time, but it was less than comfortable.

My first trip to camp david was actually with my ex wife and chris from trippers. The head waiter back then, Nelso, was known for his ability to have a taxi full of available chicas delivered wihin an hour for mongers to make selections. 6 chicas would show up in a taxi and the monger would pick one. talk about room service. Sadly Nelson became very ill, had a few strokes I believe, but his place in DR mongering history is cemented in place.

Speaking spanish helps me even when not in the DR. I was originally scheduled to do a meeting in toronto but swapped trips with a co worker as I speak spanish and the client in Miami has latino customers. So. . . .my buddy gets to go to canada, which is all good, but I get a 9 days in miami instead. Plus I am flying the novia up, so I get 9 days in miami with a dominicana. . . . . .I really like toronto. . . .but not that much;-)

I just came back from a small town in east texas. While waiting for a puddle jumper to take me to houston, there was a mexican family sitting across from me.
