Intercontinental Hotel

Two years ago, I stayed at the Intercontinenal Hotel (on the Malecon).

It's around $85 to $100 USD per night (depending on the season and the type of room you want).

This hotel does not accept discounts for AAA membership. But they do have corporate rates (discounts).

Breakfast is included and it is very delicious:

Scambled eggs
All kinds of fresh squeezed juice (e.g. Orange, Pineapple, etc.)
Ham
Fruits
Cheese
Crossants
Toast
Cereal
Milk
Coffee
Free newspapers (Miami Herald)
Bacon
Sausages
Cakes
Bagel
You can use the internet for free. But only for 15 minutes. 30 minutes is 200 pesos and an hour is 400 pesos. There are three computers (located at the lobby) and the internet speed is pretty fast.

This hotel is around $15 to $20 more than the Napolitano. But there is a huge difference in terms of service and quality between the two.

I asked them a month ago if this hotel is guest-friendly and they said that it is not guest-friendly.

At 3am, many of the female dealers and bartenders finish work and wait for the White van to take them home. So check them out if you cannot sleep!!! :biggrin:
