Central Park in Puerto Plata to be completed (as reported in Sosua News 25 September 2007)
We have good news!
The federal government has allocated an extra 7 million pesos to pay for the completion of the famous central park in Puerto Plata. The work has stopped for several months now because there were no more funds. But Ing. Rafael Cabera, the supervisor of this renovation work, has announced that these extra funds will be used to complete the work. The borders will be replanted and 25 large palm trees will be planted. The ceramic mosaic floor has arrived and will be laid soon. The engineer thinks that the park can be reopened to the general public in around one month's time.
