NG quoted me a price of $55 dollars a night for Oct 30 thru Nov 5. This is my first time going to the DR and chosing where to stay has been challenging. I am debating between a villa in casa linda or a room at new garden.

Being your first trip, stay at the new garden, learn your way around. You won't need a car and it will be alot easier.

My 2 pesos worth

My 2 pesos worthWow, how time marches on!

I have some great memories of the Palace. I left MANY children in the penthouse jacuzzi!

While this thread is open.

Still cant find a final answer, though Ive searched. Is it guest friendly. Specifically if I walk past the front desk with 2 girls will they cause a hassle.

Without hijacking the thread too much. It will be in Feb. High season, I assume you should book months in advance like the some popular hotels in Phillipines and Thailand.

thread jack ? ? ?

That's what we do best @ ISOC . . .

Like anywhere, book it the sooner the better but about a month (so long as it's just a room or 2) is usually plenty of time.

If you do book it WAY in advance than I recomend re-confirming every 4 weeks or so and again a week befor arrival . . .

I have brought 2 chicas in with 0 problems many times. both day and night. if they have ID no biggie.

Just want to mention something I saw prior to checking out of the NG last Tuesday. They had posted a flyer on the column to the left of the bar which stated, in essence, that if you weren't either a guest or the "invitee" of a guest, you would not be allowed in the bar, restaurant or pool area. I saw this on my way out the door so had no opportunity to inquire about it. Has anyone else seen it? Is it still there? My gut re-action was that Lorenzo and Wilfried were looking to keep a little control over what typre of chicas were hanging out all hours of the day. Anybody have any input?

I did see that same sign in spanish while I was there. Yet I did see some chicas hanging by the pool.

It gets sold out during ISOC or Italian Invasions. Other times its empty.
