Hi all,
Trip # 8 was another success. I arrived
on Sunday February 22. After exchanging the niceities
of the day, as well as several Presidentes, I finally
checked into my room at the Atalaya, http://www.aparthotelatalaya.com/tarifas.html.
Located in La Julia, Atalaya Hotel was a good choice
during my first visit NOT staying with family. Although
I did not choose to have any food and groceries brought
in, it was made apparent that those options were open.
I stayed in an executive suite, and actually got a slight
discount by making my reservation on the phone about
a week prior to my stay. I paid in cash upon arrival and
went about my business. Their was a minor problem with
the medicine cabinet mirror, which I mentioned to the
deskclerk, that was fixed within 24 hours. This hotel uses
Tropical taxi co. I used their services many times and was
very happy with them. Overall for what I paid, 5600 pesos Rd,
I was very satisfied with the Atalaya, and may stay there again
on my next trip.
Hoping your next trip is soon,
JD
PS: At the time I exchanged Dollars for between 47-48 pesos $RD
